Review: Getting Down to Business

Debo admitir que fue una muy buena lectura. La tenía pendiente desde hace ya un buen tiempo y quise terminarla a la carrera pero sin perderme muchos detalles.
Jessie y BG son realmente una pareja explosiva, de esas que con solo tocarse arden en llamas de deseo y mucha lujuria. Personalmente, no me desagrada este tipo de parejas, porque sé que existen, no es la que más disfruto, pero repito, no me desagrada en lo absoluto.
Su romance fue muy acelerado, casi que irreal, pero lentamente las cosas se fueron normalizando, como pareja tomaron el rumbo que creo todo romance debería tomar, se conocieron, tuvieron sus momentos lindos, sus momentos sufridos, y faltó algún momento de pelea para darle dosis de realidad, porque todo era muy color de rosas en varias escenas.
En cuanto al elemento erótico, debo decir que me gustó bastante cómo la autora lo manejó. Es explícito en todo momento, rozando lo bochornoso a veces, pero fue una carta arriesgada que supo jugar y que dio muchos pros a favor de la novela. Si por capricho tocara señalar un contra, diría que fue ese fin de semana incendiario de nuestros protagonista. El cielo sabe que terminaron con un dolor crónico por tanto movimiento pélvico.
Mi punto favorito de la historia fue cada vez que Jessie se preguntaba si un hombre menor que ella podría corresponderle, y aunque no actuaba como una mujer mayor (por cierto, no es una anciana, en mi cabeza ella tiene 30 años y algo más) sí tenía sus escenas como tal.
Me parece una historia excelente en muchos sentidos, podría haber sido mejor en alguno que otro punto, pero Jessie y BG realmente se ganaron un puesto entre las parejas literarias que volvería a leer con mucho gusto.

I must admit it was a very good read. It was pending for quite a while and I wanted to finish it in a race but without missing details.
Jessie and BG are really an explosive couple, of those that just touching burn in flames of desire and a lot of lust. Personally, I don't dislike such couples, because I know they exist, they're not the most enjoyable for me, but again, I don't dislike them at all.
Their romance was very rapid, almost unreal, but slowly things were normalizing, as a couple they took the course I think all romance should take, you know, had their cute moments, its sustained moments, and missed some time fighting to give a dose of reality, because everything was rosy in several scenes.
As for the erotic element, I must say that I really liked how the author handled it. It's explicit at all times, verging on embarrassing in some scenes, but it was a risky letter that she knew how to play and gave many pros in favor of the novel. If whim touch point a counter would say was that weekend arson of our protagonist. Heaven knows they ended with chronic pelvic pain therefore movement.
My favorite story's point was each time Jessie wondered if if you could belong with a younger man, and although not acting like a woman (by the way, she's not an old woman, in my mind she's 30-something) did have his scenes as such.
Sounds like a great story in many ways, it could have been better in one or another point, but Jessie and BG actually won a place among the literary couples I would read again about with pleasure.

Realmente horrible. Se gana el medio punto solo por dos o tres relatos que me gustaron, pero de resto fue una agonía ir leyendo. No me identifiqué con ningún personaje, ninguna historia me parecía interesante, solamente ideas sueltas sin objetivos ni nada claro.
Parece que ten´ja un montón de relatos sin terminar, les dio unos últimos toques, los juntó por su temática y lo lanzó como un proyecto interesante, pero que desde el inicio fue una espiral desenfrenada a la catástrofe literaria.
De los que recuerdo que podrían valer la pena son el relato con una protagonista tocaya de la autora y el relato "El ángel mudo", que me recordó a esos programas de crímenes perpetrados por psicópatas sin razón aparente, de resto creo que hubo reciclaje de ideas, especialmente en el último porque la trama se parece mucho a otro de los relatos de la antología.
El último relato fue el más agonizante de todos, lo terminé con MUCHA fuerza de voluntad. Me angustiaba tener que seguir leyendo, me daba fastidio, me aburría, pero pude terminar el libro. Sinceramente, no creo que vuelva a leer a esta autora.

Really horrible. The midpoint's gained only just for two or three stories I liked, but the rest was agony as I read. I didn't identify myself with no character, no story seemed interesting, only loose ideas without clear goals or anything.
It seems the author that a lot of unfinished stories, gave them some final touches, put them together for their subject and released it as an interesting project, but from the beginning was a rampant literary disaster spiral.
Of those which I remember might be worthwhile is the story with a namesake character of the author and the story "El Ángel Mudo" (The Silent Angel), which reminded me of those programs abot crimes perpetrated by psychopaths with no apparent reason, the rest I think were recycled ideas, especially in the last story because the plot's very similar to another of the stories in the anthology.
The last story was the most agonizing of all, I finished with MUCH willpower. I agonized have to keep reading, I was annoyed, I was bored, but I could finish the book. I honestly don't think I reread this author.

Para ir recuperando las costumbres, quería empezar mi regreso con una sección que me gusta mucho: Pensando. El día de hoy, ¿Es mejor escribir a brújula o a mapa? Dejen que les explico.

To be recovering customs, I wanted to start my return with a section that I really like: Pensando (Thinking). Today, is it better to write by compass or by map? Lemme explain.

Brújula: Si escribes lo primero que se te viene a la cabeza, sin hacer líneas de tiempo, sin pensar primero en los personajes, sin hacer bocetos de la trama, y prefieres que todo fluya conforme vas escribiendo, escribes a brújula.
Compass: If you write the first thing that comes into your mind, without timelines, without thinking first on the characters, without plot sketches, and you prefer to let it all flow as you write, you write by compass.
Mapa: Todo lo contrario, escribes con los personajes pensados y definidos, la trama esbozada, los puntos generales de cómo se desarrollará todo, el tipo de historia, mapas del lugar en donde ocurre todo, fichas, de todo. Si tienes todo eso, escribes a mapa.
Map: The complete opposite, you write ith the characters thought and defined, the plot outlined, the general points of who all is gonna happen, the kind of story, maps of the plot's place, chips, everything. If you hace all that, you write by map.

Yo ya he probado ambas formas digo que para mí una fusión de ambas es lo ideal: Hay que tener una idea preconcebida, al menos una general, para poder organizar todo. Mi historia Reflections de Wattpad está parada precisamente por eso, no tengo completamente la línea argumental de la trama y me ha costado seguirla; algo similar pasa con Verantina de Veniseria.
I've tried both ways I say that for me a fusion of both is ideal: You have to have a preconceived idea, at least general, to organize everything. My story Reflections on Wattpad is paused precisely because I don't habve completely the storyline of the plot and has cost me follow; something similar happens with Verantina de Veniseria.
Escribir con todo planeado, fríamente calculado podría hacer que la historia se vea lineal, me siento atrapado haciéndolo, y hacerlo totalmente libre me hace irme por todos lados, alargar la historia sin necesidad. Si se fusionan ambos, tienes un viaje seguro y no muy arriesgado, pero con sorpresas igualmente.
Writing with everything planned, coldly calculated could make the story look straight, I'm stuck doing it, and make it totally free makes me go everywhere without long story. If both are merged, you have a safe trip and not very risky, but also surprises.

Excelente. Ya puedo decir que sé un poco de música orquestal gracias a este libro, aunque tanto tecnicismo me hacía perderme de tanto en tanto. Me sorprende la dedicación y pasión que tenía Berlioz en su trabajo, el tiempo que le dedicaba, y el hecho de que a pesar de tantas dificultades en el camino, tanto rechazo, aspiraba a mucho y miraba siempre a lo más alto, buscando marcar a un público tan hostil como fue el francés con él.
Oficialmente tengo una inspiración en la música clásica.
Excellent. I can already say that I know a bit of orchestral music thanks to this book, although so much technicality made me miss from time to time. I'm surprised by the dedication and passion that had Berlioz in his work, the time devoted to it, and the fact that despite many difficulties along the way, so much rejection, he always aspired to much more and always looked at the top, looking mark as hostile as the French public was with him.
Officially I have an inspiration in classical music.

Volver a leer esta historia fue increíble. Es uno de mis cuentos favoritos y cuando lo vi en el trabajo no pude evitar dejar todo de lado para leer un rato, así fueran unos cinco miserables minutos, pero fueron unos cinco miserables minutos que me llevaron de regreso a mi infancia. Los dibujos son tétricos y al mismo tiempo alegres, aptos para niños que tengan un gusto semi oscuro. ¿Quieres recordar esos tiempos en donde las casas de chocolate eran posibles? Lee este cuento.
Reread this story was amazing. It's one of my favorite stories and when I saw it at work I couldn't help but leave everything aside to read for a while, even if it were just five miserable minutes, but five miserable minutes that took me back to my childhood. The drawings are gloomy and at the same cheerful, suitable for children with a creepy tastes. Want to remember those times where chocolate houses were possible? Read this story.

¡No sé por qué dejé este libro tan olvidado! Es excelente de cabo a rabo y no pierde emoción. Cuando se pone algo ligero es solo para volverse catalizador del evento que sigue y queda perfecto.
Me encantó el personaje de Selene, simpaticé con ella y creo que entiendo su forma de actuar, así que es seguro que disfrutaré con su historia. Anders es un personaje que me dio mucha curiosidad, me tiene intrigado de dónde salió y cómo se relacionará con Selene en el futuro (¡¡TIENE QUE!! ¡¡AUTUMN KALQUIST TIENES QUE DARME MÁS DE ÉL!!).
La sociedad que presenta Autumn en este libro es muy interesante, es completa y creo que estoy comenzando a entender más o menos el tipo de inspiración que tuvo para la saga, y si estoy bien, me parece que estamos ante de una novela juvenil muy entretenida pero con un carácter adulto y un mensaje muy importante para todos.
¡Definitivamente leeré el resto de la saga a medida que vaya saliendo!
¿Quieres algo diferente, corto y de calidad? Este libro es la elección ideal :D
I don't know why I left this book so forgotten! It is excellent from beginning to end and it doesn't lose emotion. The point when the story becomes light is only to become a catalyst for event tracking and is perfect.
I loved the character of Selene, I sympathized with her and I think I understand her ways, so it's sure I'll enjoy whit her history. Anders is a character that made ​​me very curious, has intrigued me where it came from and how he relates to Selene in the future ( HE MUST!!AUTUMN KALQUIST YOU HAVE TO GIVE ME OF HIM!!).
The society that Autumn presents in this book is very interesting, is complete and I think I'm beginning to understand more or less the kind of inspiration that took to the series, and if I'm right, I think that this is a very entertaining teen novel but with an adult character and a very important message for all.
I'll definitely read the rest of the series as they are launched!
Want something different, short and quality? This book is the ideal choice :D

Admito que después de leer este libro, no volveré a dudar del trabajo que lleva hacer una película, mucho menos las que son adaptaciones de un libro.
Todo el proceso de filmación, la forma de crear los efectos, tratar de estar a la altura de las expectativas, el trabajo conjunto y todo el detallismo que requería la película me dejaron asombrado.
Obviamente sé que hacer algo para la gran pantalla es complicado, pero estas pocas páginas me hicieron ver la realidad al 100% de cómo es todo detrás de cámaras.
hay tantos datos curiosos, tantas anécdotas, tantas técnicas y simbolismos en la película que estoy seguro que de volverla a ver, que lo voy a hacer, no la vería igual que antes.
Las fotografías son sencillamente perfectas. Tomadas en el momento exacto, en el plano perfecto, con cada detalle cuidado. Me ayudó a tener una mejor idea de cómo se trabajaba todo.
Simplemente una maravilla: Sentí que estaba allí con todo el equipo, al lado de Chris mientras dirigía a su equipo, todo ese arsenal de gente perfectamente organizada para darle vida a la película que a muchos nos gusta.
Definitivamente pienso comprar los libros de las demás entregas.
Si quieres aprender más sobre la realización de películas, saber las técnicas que se usan, las referencias, en fin, este será un gran libro de consulta.
I admit that after reading this book, I won't doubt the work that goes into making a movie, much less those which are adaptations of a book.
All the filming process, how to create the effects, try to live up to expectations, joint work and all the attention to details that required the film astounded me.
Obviously I know that to do something for the big screen is complicated, but these few pages made me see the reality at its 100% of how everything's behind the camera.
There are so many fun facts, many anecdotes, many techniques and symbolism in the film that I'm sure to see her again, I'm going to do, do not look the same as before.
Photos are simply perfect. Taken at the right time, in the perfect plane, with every detail carefully. It helped me get a better idea of how everything worked.
Simply wonderful: I felt I was there with all equipment, next to Chris as he led his team, that whole arsenal of people perfectly organized to liven up the film that many of us like.
I definitely think buy books from other deliveries.
If you want to learn more about filmmaking, knowing the techniques used, references, well, this will be a great reference book.

Me dio escalofríos leer este libro.
Al principio pensé que sería una historia vacía, carente de contexto, sencilla, de esas que se olvidan muy fácil, pero resultó ser TODO LO CONTRARIO.
Te hace reflexionar, recordar todo lo que has hecho, y deja una enseñanza acerca de lo fugaz que es la vida y lo fácil que esta puede terminar. Que la muerte es lo único seguro y que no puedes hacer nada para evitarla.
I got chills reading this book.
At first I thought it would be an empty story, devoid of context, simple, one of those we forget easily, but turned out to be THE COMPLETELY OPPOSITE.
It makes you think, remember everything you've done, and leaves a teaching about how fleeting life is and how easily this can end. That death is the only sure thing and you can do nothing to prevent it.

¡Me encantó! Siempre me gustó la leyenda de Perséfone y cómo terminó en el Inframundo, verla como libro infantil fue simplemente maravilloso, además de está redactado de forma en que cualquier niño puede leerla; lo único que no me gustó fue lo breve y las ilustraciones.
I loved it! I always liked the legend of Persephone and how she ended in the Underworld, seeing it as a children's book was just wonderful, well worded so that any child can read it; what I just didn't like was how short it was and the illustrations.

La historia me parece algo repetida, cliché, pero tiene algo que atrapa desde el primer momento, que te engancha de inmediato y hace que no dejes de leer hasta el final.
Hay algunas cosas que no terminan de cuadrarme, que no tienen casi sentido, pero supongo que irán teniéndolo mientras avance la historia.
Los dibujos no son mi estilo, pero son hermosos, el color, el diseño, todo está muy bien plasmado, y la trama promete BASTANTE.
I thinkg the story's is a litle repeated, cliché, but it has something that grabs you from the first moment, that immediately grabs you and makes don't stop reading 'til the end.
There are some things that don't convince me, almost no made sense, but I guess having it go as the story unfolds.
The drawings are not my style, but are beautiful, color, design, everything's very well captured, and the plot promises SO MUCH.

Few minutes ago I saw I could link the google account with the goodreads one, so I did it and that means you'll begin to see more often reviews on Tinta Nocturna from now on.
Esto significa también que habrán algunos cambios: Semanalmente sacaré tiempo para modificar las entradas de las reseñas y que no desentonen con las demás, además de que dependiendo del largo del libro, así de larga o corta será la reseña, por lo que puede ser vean algunas entradas re-cortas que luego serán reemplazadas por una general con todas las opiniones :)

Hace tiempo que no escribo por el blog, pero ya saben que estoy en mis últimos semestres, las cosas son algo complicadas, y hago lo que puedo, pero siempre estoy pendiente de mis redes sociales (Entiéndase Facebook y Twitter).

Quería venir hoy (Sí, sé que es algo tarde) para hablarles acerca de mi reseña de 50 Sombras de Grey. Algunas semanas atrás leí el primer libro de la saga y quería dar mi opinión acerca de él, pero como estoy trabajando para una revista española decidí escribirlo y publicarlo allí
I wanted to come today (Yes, I know it's a little bit late) to tell you about my review of 50 Shades of Grey. Some weeks ago I read the first book of the series and I wanted to share my opinion about it, but since I'm working with a spanish magizine I decided to write and publish it in there.

To my english readers: Sorry guys, but I can't write in english for a time, translate the entry and you'll know why.
Hola gente, ¿Qué tal se encuentran? Espero que mejor que yo.
Resulta que como estoy en los últimos semestres de la carrera, las cosas se están poniendo cada vez más difíciles, pero pronto podré decir que soy licenciado. Aún no, pero pronto les daré la noticia ☺Por ahora quiero avisarles de algunas cosas que tengo en la cabeza.
1. La semana pasada mi papá cumplió un año desde que se fue de este mundo, y quise recordarlo haciendo algo que quería hacer desde hace tiempo: Grabar un cover. No tengo nada más que decir al respecto, solamente: Despiértenme cuando Octubre Termine.

2. ¿Qué ha pasado con mis libros? Siguen estando allí, pero el tiempo se ha apretado tanto que ya no puedo escribir tanto como antes, casi nada, en realidad. Para mí, escribir es algo que pide tiempo, no em gusta escribir dos líneas para luego tner que leer tres párrafos y recuperar la inspiración. Las historias siguen, no se han detenido, pero están muy ralentizadas...

3. He descubierto que eso de que la inspiración viene siempre es una SOBERANA MENTIRA. La rutina y la creatividad son como perros y gatos, si no es más, ¿cómo se le hace para que la inspiración no muera en estas épocas repetitivas y rutinarias? Sencillo: Música, al menos en mi caso, y ha servido MUCHÍSIMO. Sirve para distraer, imaginar, mantener la mente activa en el campo artístico. Escritores que lean esto, tomen nota ☻

4. Dado mi poco tiempo, como dije, decidí no borrar mis libros gratuitos. Se quedarán completamente gratis hasta que los publique en Amazon o con una editorial. La principal razón de ello es que si aún no salen, no creo que sea justo para ustedes estar sin esas historias que puede ser les gusten, así que eso ☺

Por los momentos es todo, así que me iré corriendo a escribir un poco y luego a las prácticas en la emisora de radio. Los que quieran verme pueden hacerlo en el enlace de abajo:
