Comos sabrán, ya el blog cumplió ¡6 HERMOSOS AÑOS!

As you know, the blog now have 6 BEAUTIFUL YEARS!

No parece que fue ayer, para nada, pues siento que llevo la vida entera metido en blogger, y aunque no he logrado el impacto que otros, estoy satisfecho con lo que he venido haciendo. Como dice el dicho, paso lento pero seguro.
It doesn't seem like it was yesterday, for real, 'cause I feel I have my whole life in blogger, and despite I haven't had the results that others have, I'm okay with what I've done. As they say, slowly but surely.

Cuando veo un comentario nuevo aún me emociono, salvo que sea spam, ESO SÍ ME VUELVE LOCO (Alan, respira), pero cuando veo sus ideas, sugerencias, dudas, o un saludo sencillo me alegro de poco en poco hasta pasar días de buen humor :3

When I see a coment of yours I still get excited, unless it's spam, THAT DO MAKES ME CRAZY (Alan, breath), but when I see your ideas, suggestions, questions, or a simple greeting I get happy slowly and spent days in a good mood :3

Por esto, y como el año pasado se me pasó hacer algo para el aniversario, decidí que esta vez debería lograr algo que sí fuera importante, ¿y qué es lo más importante para un escritor? ¡Un libro suyo, obviamente! Así que, por sus seis años, Tinta Nocturna no es solo un blog, ¡ahora también es un libro!

For this, and since last year I forgot to do something for the anniversary, I decided that this time should make something very, very important, and what is most important for a writer? A book of his, obviously! So,  because of its six years, Tinta Nocturna is not just a blog, now also a book!

En el libro podrán encontrar algunas historias de wattpad, otras inéditas, y otras que han aparecido en antologías donde he participado, todas unidas por una historia en común.

In the book you'll find some wattpad stories, others un plublished, and others that have appeared in antologies where I've participed, all of them united with a common story.

Cuando los descubrí, me hice fan de los retellings, más específicamente, los de los cuentos de hadas llevados a temáticas adolescentes y paranormales, al punto de que tengo MUCHOS proyectos de este tipo, pero primero saldrá de los que tengo pendientes.

When I found them, I became a fan of retellings, more specifically, those of fairy tales carried with teen and paranormal thematics, to the point that I have MANY projects of this type, but first I want to finish those I've already started.

Un día me senté a pasar del papel a la computadora un cuento de la Caperucita Roja, un reteling que escribí hace mucho, pero poco a poco me di cuenta de que tenía muchísimas fallas, muchos errores de trama, y era poco creíble, así que lo cambié TOTALMENTE, adaptándolo a lo que me gusta leer, y de forma en que pudiera incluir todas las demás historia.

One day I sat down to move from paper to computer a tale of Little Red Riding Hood, a reteling I wrote long ago, but gradually I realized it had many faults, many frame errors, and it wasn't credible, so I changed it COMPLETELY, adapting it to what I like to read, and iun a way it could include the other stories.

Para mí, Tinta Nocturna se ha vuelto algo indispensable en mi vida; sin este blog no podría llevar una vida "normal", para ser sinceros, y aunque me ha dado, me da y me seguirá dando dolores de cabeza, abandonarlo es una idea que se va apenas llega a mi mente.

For me, Tinta Nocturna has become in something indispensable in my life; without this blog I couldn't lead a "normal" life, to be honests. and despite it has given, it gives me and it's gonna give me headches, abandon it it's and idea that goes as soon as it arrives to my mind.

Un colega al que aprecio mucho acaba de lanzar su primera novela a Amazon. Es H. Kramer y el libro se llama La Hora Sexta y tuve el privilegio de leer el primer capítulo mientras la historia estaba inconclusa. Pude haber leído el resto del libro pero salían tantas cosas en el camino que simplemente desistí y esperé hasta que estuviera listo.

A colleague whom I appreciate just released his first novel to Amazon. It's H. Kramer and the books it's La Hora Sexta (The Sixth Hour) and I had the privilege of reading the first chapter as the story was unfinished. I could have read the rest of the book but out many things along the way that I just gave up and waited until it was ready.

Review: Mundo Gótico

Mundo Gótico by Gavin Baddeley

Un libro bastante explicativo en muchos aspectos, aunque pudo extenderse en otros. Gavin hace un recorrido no lineal en general, pero sí sigue ese formato en varias secciones, empezando siempre con las raíces, mencionando aspectos generales del tema que está tocando para luego extenderse en ellos más adelante.
Realmente, el enfoque del libro es hacia la estética y la música góticas, quizás los más importantes aspectos de esta subcultura con raíces de siglos pasados, pero llega un momento en que tantos nombres, fechas, y lugares se confunden, perdiendo al lector.
Varias veces sentí que me perdía, no lograba asimilar algunas informaciones y los términos se me hacían desconocidos en más de una ocasión, aunque supongo fue porque leí el libro de forma discontinua.
Puedo decir que realmente permite acercarse a las raíces de una tribu urbana tan misteriosa como lo es la gótica, porque Gavin escribe bastante fluído, con palabras sencillas y explicando las que no lo son, haciendo todo bastante fácil de digerir.
El único punto en contra de este libro es un párrafo donde habla de la Wicca diciendo que en una boda religiosa se hacen ofrendas de sangre, cosa que es totalmente falsa (cualquier persona que busque información al respecto se dará cuenta de que la Wicca no acepta, permite ni mira bien estos actos, sino que los repudia totalmente).
De resto, es un libro que no tiene desperdicio, de esos que si se leen con atención pueden ser de mucho provecho y dar una base para investigar más al respecto del tema. 100% recmendado.
A pretty self explanatory book in many ways, but could have extended in others. Gavin does a non-linear path in general, but still that format into several sections, always starting with the roots, mentioning general aspects of the topic he's playing then spread them later.
Actually, the focus of the book is to aesthetics and Gothic music, perhaps the most important aspects of this subculture with roots in past centuries, but there comes a time when so many names, dates, and locations are confused, making the reader lose the line.
Several times I felt I was missing, I couldn't assimilate some information and terms were unknown to me on more than one occasion, although I suppose it was because I read the book discontinuously.
I can tell he really lets you get close to the roots of an urban tribe as mysterious as is the Gothic, because Gavin writes quite fluid, with simple words and explaining those who aren not, doing it quite easy to digest.
The only drawback of this book is a paragraph that talks about Wicca saying that in a religious ceremony blood offerings are made, which is totally false (anyone seeking information about it will realize that Wicca does not accept, allows and doesn't look with good eyer those acts, but totally repudiates them).
For the rest, a book that has no waste, such that if read with care can be of great benefit and provide a basis for further research about the issue is. 100% recommended.

Hace algunos días, exactamente el 14 de Febrero (¡San Valentín!), salió a la venta el segundo EP de una de mis bandas predilectas, Reber, liderada por una escritora que tengo el gusto de conocer, Irene Zoe Alameda.
Some days ago, February the 14th (St. Valentine!) exactly, was released the second EP of one of my favorite bands, Reber, led by a writer I have the pleasure of knowing, Irene Zoe Alameda.

Ya había escuchado su primer trabajo, en 2012, Who reads the future? y fácil me gustaron por su estilo tan alternativo. Ahora, luego de escuchar The Future Maker, su segundo y más reciente trabajo, me di cuenta de que siguen siendo músicos que me gustan.
I've already listened to their previous work, in 2012, Who reads the future? and so easy I liked them because of their alternative style. Now, after listening The Future Maker, their second and more recent work, I realized they're still musicians I like.

Recuérdame y Lost in Woods son temas que me encantaron, Amelia realmente no es mi estilo por su ritmo lento, pero es atractiva, Nobody Lied es un tema que podría escuchar varias veces sin cansarme, y creo que el tema que menos me gustó fue Mad City (irónico que sea el primer sencillo del disco).
Recuérdame and Lost in Woods are songs I loved, Amelia in not really my style for its slow pace, but it is atractive, Nobody Lied's a song I could listen to many times and don't get tired, and I think the one I less liked was Mad City (ironic that it is the first single of the CD).
La voz de Irene es fría, robótica, y combina perfectamente con los ritmos de cada canción, realmente parece un androide en más de una ocación; estoy seguro que es lo que busca lograr.
Irene's voice is cold, robotic, and blends perfectly with the rhythms of each song, it really seems an android singing on more than one occasion; I am sure that is what she wants to achieve.
El sonido está muy elaborado, con detalles que te hacen caer en la atmósfera de ciencia ficción, de viajes por las estrellas y mundos robóticos. No cuesta imaginarse varias historias conforme van pasando las canciones, realmente es como si una musa galáctica te susurrara al oído.
The sound's very elaborate, with details that make you fall in atmospheric science fiction, travel by stars and robotic worlds. It's not hard to imagine many stories as the songs pass, it's really like a galactic muse whispering in your ear.
Den clic a las carátulas de los discos para comprarlos, ¡les aseguro que valen la pena y son canciones que se quedarán en sus cabezas mucho rato!

Mi nombre es Aidé la modesta, fui influenciada por mi padre Cristian… un ángel convertido en inmortal por el puñal del Arcángel Miguel, este me crió con un sólo propósito… erradicar la mayor cantidad posible de maldad en el mundo… luego de más de cien años en la práctica… mis superiores han decidido que aniquile a tres de los vampiros más malvados del continente Americano.

Mi plan es… no morir en el intento… aunque con ese aspecto no tengo problema, ya que mi ángel protector impuesto por mis superiores, el Arcángel Gabriel siempre me saca de aprietos.

Se necesita aniquilar a esos tres vampiros para imponer una tregua entre los dos reinos… el celestial y el vampírico… para así proteger a los humanos… aunque fuera de toda lógica no entiendo por qué seguir derramando sangre para lograr ese pacto, tampoco se me explica mucho, siempre termino aniquilando sin preguntar los porqués… pero al final siempre las situaciones toman su cauce y la vida me ha enseñado que en los cielos jamás se equivocan.

Así que sencillo… manos a la obra.
