Hi guys!
¡AL FIN DE VACACIONES! Ya me inscribí para mi último semestre (ALELUYA), así que estoy descansando a toda potencia, escribiendo cuando puedo y leyendo como un demente. Esto último nos lleva al motivo de la entrada de hoy: retos literarios a mitad de año en los que me anoté. Lo más segur es que quede alguno por completar, porque soy algo inconstante con esto, pero igualmente me anoto para organizarme en cuando a lecturas.
VACATIONS AT LAST! I already registered my last semester (HALLELUJAH), so I'm resting at full power, writing when I can and reading like a madman. This last thing brings us to the subject of today's entry: Literary challenge at half year that I signed in. I'm most likely not to complete on eof them, because I am somewhat inconsistent with this, but also scored me to organize my time to reading.
El primer reto viene de parte de Sofía Olguín, una escritora LGBTI de Argentina, y propone leer al menos cinco novelas juveniles LGBTI. No conozco muchos libros de la temática, así que decidí leer varios de la autora y releer uno que me encanta :3
The frist challenge comes from Sofía Olguín, a LGBTI writer from Argentina, and she propose to read at least 5 LGBTI youth novels. I don't know a lot of books in this subject, so I decided to read many of this author and reread one that I love :3

El siguiente reto es uno propuesto por Gerardo (conocido en los bajos mundos como Jerry o Lisiado) y consiste en leer 5 libros de horror gótico (clásicos) en lo que queda del año. Quiero redescubrir un género que siempre me llamó la atención, así que me anoté sin pensármelo.
The next challenge is proposed by Gerardo (known in the underworld as Jerry or Lisiado) and consists of reading 5 books of gothic horror (classic) for the remainder of the year. I want to rediscover a genre that always caught my attention, so I signed without thinking.

Y ya por último, un reto que le propuse a Jerry a raiz del anterior, uno de Anne Rice. Leer al menos tres libros de nuestra Reina Vampiresa en el año. Lo más seguro es que lea la trilogía Las Brujas de Mayfair, pero dejo la lista con otros libros que me gustaría leerme.

And finally, a challenge that I proposed to Jerry because of the one before, one of Anne Rice. Read at least three books from our vampire queen in the year. The safest thing is that I read the Lives of the Mayfair Witches trilogy, but I leave the list with other books I'd like to read.

Realmente, no sé de qué quería hablar el autor en este libro. Fue un fastidio total y me dio lástima, porque su libro Ojos de perro siberiano me encantó.
I really don't know what the author wanted to talk about in this book. It was a total bummer and I felt sorry because his book Eyes of Siberian dog was wonderful.

Reseña: Heaven. El hilo rojo del destino, por Lucía Arca.

¡Hola chicos! ¿Qué tal ese cierre de clases? Yo ya estoy por terminar las materias y no veo la hora de que llegue el viernes, ¡MI ÚLTIMO DÍA DE CLASES POR ESTE SEMESTRE! Estoy que bailo de la felicidad. Pero dejaré mi felicidad de lado para hablarles de lo que les interesa: un libro QUE AMÉ.
Hi guys! How about the closure of classes? I'm already about to end some subjcts and I cannot wait to arrive on Friday, MY LAST DAY OF COLLEGE FOR THIS SEMESTER! I am about to dance bacause of happiness. But I'll let my happiness aside to tell you about what interests you: a book that I loved.
Como saben, estoy participando en el blog tour de Heaven. El hilo rojo del destino, de Lucía Arca. Hacía tiempo que quería leerla, así que no desperdicié la oportunidad de leerla, y debo decir que quedé impresionado.
As you know, I'm in a blog tour for Heaven. The read threaf of fate, by Lucía Arca. I had long wanted to read something from her, so I did not waste the opportunity to read this book, and I must say I was impressed.

La historia nos habla de Heaven y Jared, dos personajes muy heridos, que arrastran heridas del pasado que no terminan de sanar, ambos destinados a reencontrarse por la leyenda del hilo rojo del destino.
The story's about Heaven and Jared, two very wounded characters, dragging old wounds that never quite heal, both destined to reunite with the legend of red thread of fate.
Heaven es una chica muy normal, salvo por su pasado y las consecuencias de este en su carácter, es una chica que solamente quiere su vida de regreso, y de momento, simpaticé mucho con ella. Es un personaje que me agradó bastante.
Heaven is a very normal girl except for her past and the consequences of this in her character, sh'es a girl who just wants her life back, and for many moments, I sympathized a lot with her. It is a character that I liked a lot.
Jared es un "chico" no muy normal, algo engreído, pero cuando descubrí la razón de esta y por qué usarla como escudo, descubrir su interior lentamente me hizo sentirlo real. No es mi favorito, tiene un carácter que me chocó en ocasiones, pero tampoco lo odié.
Jared is a not so normal "boy", something cocky, but when I discovered the reason for this and why use it as a shield, discover his inner slowly made me feel him real. Not my favorite, has a character that struck me sometimes, but I do not hate him.
A la que quería odiar con todas mis fuerzas fue a Safina. Una perra salida de las profundidades del infierno, una creída, egocéntrica, egoísta con mente de niña caprichosa y al mismo tiempo un temperamento psicópata. El final, con respecto a ella, fue agridulce, y los que lean el libro me entenderán.
The one I wanted to hate with all my strength was Safina. A bitch out of the depths of hell, a self-centered, selfish  woman with the mind of a whimsical girl and a psychopathic temperament. The end, speaking just about her, was bittersweet, and those who read the book will understand me.
La escritura de Lucía es muy metafórica, llena de adjetivos. Es super elegante, aunque a veces te confunda por la forma en que describe en algunas ocasiones, pero es por mis gustos personales. Sentía todo lo que aparecía en ese libro era hermoso, hasta el más mínimo detalle. Me hizo disfrutar de las cosas pequeñas de la vida, por decirlo así. ¡Me encantó!
Lucía's writing is very metaphorical, full of adjectives. It's super elegant, but sometimes confuse you because of her way to describe sometimes, but it's for my personal tastes. I felt everything that appeared in that book was beautiful, down to the smallest detail. I did enjoy the little things in life, so to speak. I loved it!
La escena final, el enfrentamiento Heaven Vs Safina, ¿cómo decirlo? LO AMÉ. Sencillo, corto, pero lleno de emociones que chocaron, poder, y aunque se adivina, hay cosas que te toman por sorpresa, así como la nueva actitud de nuestra protagonista.
The final scene, the Safina Vs Heaven confrontation, how shall I say? I LOVED IT. Simple, short, but full of emotions that hit, power, and despite you can even guess the result, there are things that take you by surprise, as the new attitude of our protagonist.
El mundo de Oniria se me hizo muy real. Siendo lo que es, pensé que sería difícil de recrear, pues todos hemos estado allí, sin excepción, y podría ser algo problemático imaginarlo como algo "tangible", pero Lucía se las ingenió muy bien para hacer que todo se sintiera como si estuviera allí de nuevo.
Oniria's world became very real to me. Being what it is, I thought it would be difficult to recreate, because we've all been there, without exception, and could be problematic to imagine it as something "tangible" but Lucía managed very well to make it all feel like we I there again.
Definitivamente, un libro que vale mucho la pena y que no tiene desperdicio. Suelo decir que los libros autoconclusivos deberían tener una segunda parte, pero este es perfecto tal y como es, porque estoy seguro que, y sí, se lo advierto a su autora con una pistola en mano, que si sigue la historia, saca una secuela, corre el riesgo de arruinarla. Precuelas, todas las que quieras, pero ninguna continuación, por favor.
Definitely a book that's worth it and not to be wasted. I often say that stand-alone books should have a sequel, but this is perfect as it is, because I'm sure, and yes, I warn its author pistol in hand, if she follow the story, makes a sequel, she's taking the risk to ruin it. Prequels, all you want, but no sequels, please.

Hoy les vengo con UNA NOTICIA. Una buena amiga mía, Lucía Arca, ha organizado un book tour por su novela Heaven. El hilo rojo del destino.

Today I came with THE NEWS. A good friend of mine, Lucía Arca, organized a Book tour for her novel "Heaven. El hilo rojo del destino" (Heaven. The red thread of destiny).

Obviamente no iba a quedarme sin participar, además de que es una novela a la que le tenía muchísimas ganas, tanto por su trama y su autora como por su extensión (demándenme por buscar libros cortos, ¡los reto!).

Obviously I wouldn't stay without participating, plus it is a novel that I really wanted to read, both for its plot and author and its extension (demand me for seeking short books, I challenge you!).

Esta novela supone un salto hacia un género más adulto que tus obras anteriores, más juveniles, ¿a qué se debe este cambio?
This novel is a leap towards a more adult genre that your previous, more youthful works, what does this change?
Surge en parte de un reto personal y en parte de las necesidades de la historia. Los personajes, una vez son esbozados, adquieren el control y sus personalidades guían la trama; siendo Heaven y Jared tan impetuosos, era imposible que no saltaran chispas y estas se convirtieran en fuego. Hubiese resultado completamente irreal que sus labios no se encontraran…
It stems partly from a personal challenge and part of the needs of the story. Once the characters are outlined once, they acquire control and their personalities guide the plot; being Heaven and Jared so reckless, it was impossible that no sparks took and these to become fire. Would have been completely unrealistic that their lips did not find each other...
Además, quería dejarme llevar un poco más, explorar otros géneros. Recordemos que esta novela linda entre el new adult y la romántica adulta paranormal; cierto es que el erotismo está presente, pero no es una novela erótica propiamente dicha.
I also wanted to let myself go a little more, explore other genres. Recall that this beautiful novel from the new adult and adult paranormal romance; truth is that eroticism is present, but not a full-fledged erotic novel.
