Hello over there you guys, how are you feeling today?

I wanted to share with you a disc that I like to listen sometimes, when I want to get back to my roots, not that I listened to it years ago, but it still gives me the feeling of past times. I’m talking about Evanescence’s first demo album, Origin.

It helps me to channel both darkness and depression, direct them into the artistic side of my brain and drain any negative feelings. I won’t say its tracks are my ultimate remedy, but they do help me to get a little better, as I can identify myself with the lyrics.

“Imaginary,” “Away from me” and “Anywhere” are my personal favorites, the ones that sat the ground for the band we know and love today. Their darkness and direct, yet poetic, lyrics have a raw magic that was about to be reworked on their first album, Fallen.

Hola chicos, ¿cómo se sienten hoy?
Quería compartir con ustedes un disco que me gusta escuchar a veces, cuando quiero volver a mis raíces, no porque lo escuchara hace años, sino porque todavía me da la sensación de tiempos pasados. Estoy hablando del primer álbum demo de Evanescence, Origin.
Me ayuda a canalizar la oscuridad y la depresión, dirigirlas hacia el lado artístico de mi cerebro y drenar cualquier sentimiento negativo. No diré que sus pistas son mi último remedio, pero me ayudan a mejorar un poco, ya que puedo identificarme con las letras.
“Imaginary,” “Away from me” y “Anywhere” son mis favoritos personales, los que sentaron el suelo para la banda que conocemos y amamos hoy. Su oscuridad y letras directas, aunque poéticas, tienen una magia cruda que estaba a punto de ser reelaborada en su primer álbum, Fallen.
