Fue un libro que me costó BASTANTE, tanto por la temática como por el género, porque es una distopía paranormal-medieval pero con inspiraciones en la vida real. Para los que no sepan de qué estoy hablando, Verantina es la historia de las manifestaciones venezolanas que se dieron el año pasado.
It was a book that cost me SO MUCH, therefore the issue as gender, because it is a paranormal-medieval dystopia but with inspirations in real life. For those who don't know what I'm talking about, Verantina is the story of Venezuelan events that occurred last year.
Para mí, y para muchos, fue un momento crítico en la historia del país, una oportunidad como ninguna que antes se hubiese presentado. Lamentablemente, se desaprovechó, pero la idea de Verantina surgió de una conversación con mi mamá, y aunque iba a ser un retelling de La bella y la bestia, sentó las bases de una novela corta que realmente me gusta.
For me, and for many, it was a critical moment in the history of the country, an opportunity like none before had been filed. Unfortunately, it was missed, but Verantina's idea came from a conversation with my mom, and although it was gonna be a retelling of Beauty and the Beast, laid the foundations of a short novel that I really like.
