¡Muy buenas noticias, hoy, Nocturnos! Uno de los proyectos musicales que me parecen más genuinos y originales, Aesthetic Perfection, creado por Daniel Graves, tiene su música gratis en Bandcamp. Aunque no he seguido a Daniel, su sonido siempre me ha llamado mucho la atención, además de que es uno de los pocos artistas oscuros y alternativos 100% independientes que he encontrado.
Para quienes no lo conozcan, su estilo de música ha sido clasificado como electrónica, industrial, synthpop, EBM, aggrotech, y yo diría que tiene cierta influencia de rock. Ayer me llegó la noticia en el newsletter de Daniel, y prefiero dejar que sea él el que explique todo:
La pandemia ha sido difícil para todos. Ya sea mental, física, emocionalmente, lo que sea, sin embargo... ha pasado factura. Para mí, el arte siempre ha sido una forma de darle sentido al mundo y encontrar formas de afrontarlo. Es por eso que toda la música que controlo está paga-lo-que-quieras en Bandcamp, y seguirá así hasta que todo esto pase. Si tienes dificultades económicas, por favor, toma lo que quieras gratis y disfrútalo. Si estás bien y quieres apoyar a un artista independiente, no dudes en darme unos cuantos dólares. De cualquier manera, lo importante para mí es que todos nos ayudemos unos a otros. Es la única forma de superar esto.
Pienso pasearme por toda la discografía disponible en Bandcamp, respetando el orden cronológico de publicación, así que pueden esperar unas cuantas entradas sobre su música en los próximos días. Además, parece ser justo el tipo de música que necesitaba para Cuentos de Hadas para no Dormir, que como saben voy a publicar este Halloween / Samhain (¡este sábado!), aunque es más el tipo que escucharían Edgar y Sylvia.
