¡Estoy en Storyforge! / I'm in Storyforge!

Buenas buenas. Empezamos la semana con noticias.

Desde hace tiempo que he querido volver a escribir e ir compartiendo. Sin embargo, cierta plataforma anaranjada me tiene bastante insatisfecho. Si es cierto que hice muchas cosas en Wattpad, y no cierro la puerta a compartir cosas allí también en su momento. Sin embargo, hay una nueva plataforma para escritores que me gusta bastante: Storyforge.

El algoritmo de Wattpad me ha dado mucho de qué pensar. Además, si bien es cierto que muchas historias buenas empezaron allí, siento que últimamente cuesta encontrar algo realmente bueno, y hablo de algo más allá de la moda y el hype que pueda generar una persona.

Storyforge, por otro lado, hace la experiencia más interesante ofreciendo retos, recompensas, prioriza los comentarios constructivos, y ofrece un camino directo a la publicación de tus historias que toma en cuenta la interacción con los lectores y que tú como escritor también leas. Es bastante atractivo, si me preguntan. Claro que por ser nuevo hay varias actualizaciones en proceso, pero veo que como plataforma Storyforge está ganando cada vez más terreno.

Justo ahora, tengo dos historias terminadas, Llévame y Nightmare Fairytales (pronto subo la versión en español), y retomé Medicus bajo otra portada y otro nombre que representa mejor la historia: Vivos entre los Muertos, Alive Among the Dead.

¿Por qué estoy subiendo mis libros gratis allí? Porque quiero que puedan leerme sin importar el dinero. Siempre voy a agradecer que compren ejemplares de mis libros, y el sueño siempre va a ser dedicarme a escribir a tiempo completo. Sin embargo, el mundo es lugar demasiado difícil hoy en día. Permitirles a otros leer sin restricciones es mi forma de ayudar.

Además, los comentarios, corazones, y estrellas en Storyforge tienen mucho más peso que en Wattpad. Si no pueden apoyarme comprando los libros, pueden hacerlo dejando comentarios, dándole al corazón y la estrella, agregando mis historias a listas de lectura, y así sucesivamente. Cada aporte significa muchísimo para mí y me ayuda a estar más cerca de cumplir ese sueño.

Hi everyone! We’re kicking off the week with some news.

I’ve been wanting to get back to writing and sharing my work for a while now. However, a certain "orange platform" has left me feeling quite dissatisfied. While it’s true I did a lot on Wattpad, and I’m not ruling out sharing content there again down the line, there’s a new platform for writers that I really like: Storyforge.

Wattpad’s algorithm has really given me food for thought. Also, while many great stories did start there, I feel like it’s getting harder lately to find something truly good, and I mean something that goes beyond just the trends or the hype a specific person might generate.

Storyforge, on the other hand, makes the experience more engaging by offering challenges and rewards, prioritizing constructive feedback, and providing a direct path to publication that takes into account reader interaction and your own engagement as a writer. It’s a pretty appealing setup, if you ask me. Of course, since it’s new, there are still updates in the works, but I can see the platform gaining more and more traction.

Right now, I have two completed stories, Llévame and Nightmare Fairytales (I’ll be uploading the Spanish version soon), and I’ve picked Medicus back up with a new cover and a title that better reflects the story: Alive Among the Dead, Vivos entre los Muertos.

Why am I uploading my books there for free? Because I want people to be able to read my work regardless of their financial situation. I’ll always be grateful when people buy copies of my books, and my dream has always been to write full-time. However, the world is a tough place these days. Letting others read without restrictions is my way of helping out.

Plus, comments, hearts, and stars on Storyforge carry much more weight than they do on Wattpad. If you can’t support me by buying the books, you can still help by leaving comments, hitting the heart and star buttons, adding my stories to reading lists, and so on. Every bit of support means the world to me and brings me closer to achieving that dream.
