Charmed: Season 5

Hello people! How are you doing? Over here things are a little boring, so I don't have much to tell. As you know by the title, Charmed's fifth season is today's topic, so I'll tell you...
¡Hola gente! ¿Cómo les va? Por acá las cosas andan un poco aburridas, así que no tengo mucho que contar. Como sabrán por el título, la quinta temporada de Charmed es el tema de hoy, así que les cuento...

Compared with the previous, this season is dark, maybe not so much, but maintains the same style of fantasy stories and dark ideas, some more than others, but with a quite attractive and appealing context.

Comparada con la anterior, esta temporada es oscura, quizá no tanto, pero mantiene el mismo estilo de historias fantasiosas e ideas tenebrosas, algunas más que las otras, pero con un contexto bastante atractivo y llamativo.

I loved that they deepened a little more on the witches of this universe, the familiars, along with some issues that may not sound very consistent with Charmed's supernatural theme, as superheroes and some magical beings underused in the other ones.

Me encantó que profundizaran un poco más en las brujas de este universo, los familiares, además de algunos temas que podrían no sonar muy acorde con la temática sobrenatural de Charmed, como los superhéroes y algunos seres mágicos poco usados en las demás.

While Piper has some highlight, she manages to slowly lose it as her pregnancy progresses, resulting in very striking episodes that focus around the first man on the Halliwell family, all very well prepared, combining the best of motherhood with old witchcraft.

Aunque Piper tiene cierto protagonismo, logra perderlo poco a poco conforme avanza su embarazo, dando lugar a episodios muy llamativos que giran en torno al primer hombre de la familia Halliwell, todos muy bien elaborados, combinando lo mejor de la maternidad con la vieja brujería.

It was a relief to see that this was the last season with Julian McMahon, since his role as Cole Turner was boring, repetitive and that was obvious in his performance. He seemed forced, lacking courage and desire to give the best of himself. It was a pretty well-crafted, natural outlet and an evolution in the character I didn't expect.

Fue un alivio ver que esta fue la última temporada con Julian McMahon, pues ya su papel de Cole Turner estaba aburrido, repetitivo y se traducía en su actuación. Se le veía forzado, falto de ánimos y ganas de dar lo mejor de sí. Fue una salida bastante bien elaborada, natural y una evolución en el personaje que no esperaba.

Rose McGowan was better in her role, with some ups and downs, but dominating more her job as Paige Matthews, growing both as an actress and character. I'm curious because I see that gradually she becomes important to get to the pair of sisters, which failed in the previous season.

Rose McGowan estuvo mejor en cuanto a su papel, con algunos altibajos, pero dominando mejor su trabajo como Paige Matthews, creciendo tanto como actriz y personaje. Me causa curiosidad ver que poco a poco cobra importancia hasta ponerse a al par de sus hermanas, cosa que no logró en la temporada anterior.

I have to admit that the season finale was quite disappointing, with a good development, a plot in crescendo only to abruptly end it all... The idea was good, but Proebe's character didn't have any involvement and Piper took so much credit her sisters were left in the shade, in a bad way.

Tengo que admitir que el final de temporada fue bastante decepcionante, con un buen desarrollo, una trama en crescendo solo para terminar todo de forma brusca... La idea estuvo bien, pero el personaje de Phoebe no tuvo participación alguna y Piper se llevó tanto crédito que no dejó a sus hermanas quedaron a la sombra, en el mal sentido.

In terms of production, I don't have many complaints. All details were well cared for, including clothing, much better than in past seasons of Charmed, along with makeup and special effects. The latter were rather simple, but served well to give it a visually appealing series, same as always.

En cuanto a la producción, no tengo muchas quejas. Todos los detalles estuvieron bien cuidados, incluso el vestuario, mucho mejor que en las temporadas pasadas de Charmed, junto con el maquillaje y los efectos especiales. Estos últimos fueron más bien sencillos, pero sirvieron bien para darle un atractivo a la serie, igual que siempre.

In short, it's a regular season in terms of aesthetics, its various gloomy environments and immersive themes. The mythology is much better broader, developed and worked , although I have some doubts with the "light" episodes.

En resumen, es una temporada de término medio en cuanto a la estética, sus varios ambientes lúgubres y temas atrapantes. La mitología es mucho más amplia, desarrollada y mejor trabajada, aunque tengo algunas dudas con los episodios más "luminosos".

Tarot Cafe Vol. 7

Hello people! How are you doing? I hope good ^^ Here things have been turned upside down, to say the least, and I don't think anyone would be surprised at this point knowing I'm stuck in Venezuela. Anyway, we didn't come here to talk on politics (yet) but about comics and so on, so I tell you that I can finally say I finished reading Tarot Cafe.
¡Hola gente! ¿Cómo les va? Espero que todo bien ^^ Aquí las cosas han estado patas arriba, por decir lo menos, y no creo que a nadie le extrañe a estas alturas sabiendo que estoy atrapado en Venezuela. Como sea, no vinimos a hablar de política (todavía) sino acerca de comics y demás, así que les cuento que por fin puedo decir que terminé de leer Tarot Cafe.
As in the previous volume, this book tells only one story, without any other chapter, and is full of action, fights, unexpected discoveries and a lot of magic, but it's a little short compared to the other books.

Igual que en el volumen anterior, este libro cuenta una única historia, sin ningún otro capítulo, y está lleno de acción, peleas, descubrimientos inesperados y mucha magia, aunque se queda un poquito corto en comparación con los demás libros.

What did surprise me was a so unexpected plot twist that had all the plot in general, that surprise I didn't see coming and that Park gave no clue about it. Some might even say that makes no sense, but I loved it.

Lo que sí me sorprendió fue un giro tan inesperado que tuvo toda la trama en general, esa sorpresa que no vi venir y de la que Park no dio ninguna pista al respecto. Alguno podría llegar a decir que no tiene sentido, pero a mí me encantó.
Maybe it was the fastest reading of the whole saga, the lightest, and obviously was my favorite of all. It has everything you need to love: romance, fantasy, adventure, mystery, original creatures and, I have to repeat, a plot twist too unexpected.
Fue quizá la lectura más rápida de toda la saga, la más ligera, y obviamente también fue mi favorita entre todas. Tiene todo lo necesario para amarla: romance, fantasía, aventura, misterio, criaturas originales y, tengo que repetirlo, un giro demasiado inesperado.
Regarding the end, let's say it was much like the author and is perfect with the type of story, regardless of whether you like it or not. Needless to say I did like it, but I think it's more than obvious if you have been reading the reviews of the previous volumes.
Con respecto al final, digamos que fue muy al estilo de la autora y queda perfecto con el tipo de historia, indiferentemente de si gusta o no. Innecesario decir que a mí sí me gustó, pero creo que eso ya es más que obvio si han venido leyendo las reseñas de los volúmenes anteriores.

There is a band that I love and that, for the luck of many, has all its discography free on Bandcamp, it is Dope Stars Inc., one of Victor Love's musical projects. Of all their albums, TeraPunk is definitely one of the ones I like the most, if not my favorite.
Hay una banda que me encanta y que, para dicha de muchos, tiene toda su discografía gratis en Bandcamp, se trata de Dope Stars Inc, uno de los proyectos musicales de Victor Love. De entre todos sus álbumes, TeraPunk es definitivamente uno de los que más me gustan, si no mi favorito.

There's so much strength in its lyrics, so much energy and feeling I cannot help loving it, especially when it comes to Many Thanks or Take it, my favorite tracks, those that were made in order to sing all the time. Just listen!

Hay tanta fuerza en sus letras, tanta energía y sentimiento que no puedo evitar amarlo, aún más cuando se trata de Many Thanks o de Take it, mis temas favoritos, esos que se hicieron con el propósito de cantarlos a cada rato. ¡No mas escuchen!

Thinking / Pensando: Cliches

Hello over there! How are you people? I've been really busy planning October for the blog: TV series, mangas, comics, movies, and everything else in order to match the season. Any ideas you'd like to suggest?
¡Hola! ¿Cómo están, gente? He estado muy ocupado planeando octubre para el blog: series de televisión, mangas, cómics, películas, y todo lo demás con el fin de que coincida con la temporada. ¿Alguna idea que les gustaría sugerir?

Lately, I've been thinking about cliches and what they really mean for we writers. Any other day I'd say they are the safe bet for lack of ideas, because it is infinitely easier to write the typical plot line about soul mates, insta-love, the all-mighty hero, the world ending prophecy and much more than creating something different, something we have hardly seen, but nowadays I may have changed my mind A LITTLE.
Últimamente, he estado pensando en clichés y lo que realmente significa para nosotros los escritores. Cualquier otro día yo diría que son la apuesta segura por falta de ideas, porque es infinitamente más fácil escribir la trama típica acerca de almas gemelas, insta-love, el héroe todo poderoso, la profecía del fin del mundo y mucho más que crear algo diferente, algo que casi no hemos visto, pero hoy en día podría haber cambiado de opinión UN POCO.

Considering that almost every kind of story is already told and almost every topic is used like a thousand times, maybe use one or two cliches in our stories may not be THAT BAD, maybe talent could also mean that you can work with cliches and be original at the same time.
Teniendo en cuenta que casi todo tipo de historia ya se ha contado, y casi todos los temas se ha usado como un millar de veces, tal vez usar uno o dos clichés en nuestras historias pueden no ser tan malo, tal vez el talento también podría significar que se puede trabajar con los clichés y ser original al mismo tiempo.
I do think that it is allowed to use some of them when we're starting to write, when we do our very first stories or when we try a different genre, there's nothing bad on that as far as we do something new, add a different touch to the plot or maybe a character far away from the ones we tend to see.
Creo que está permitido el uso de algunos cuando estamos empezando a escribir, cuando hacemos nuestras primeras historias o cuando tratamos un género diferente, no hay nada malo en ello mientras que hagamos algo nuevo, añadamos un toque diferente a la trama o tal vez un personaje muy lejos de los que tienden a ver.

However, when the result is not a real story but a cliche-salad with a predictable ending, we do have serious problems. There are so many different kind of things we can do to give the story our touch, our unique mark, that I consider it a capital sin opting for a safe bet, in any case.
Sin embargo, cuando el resultado no es una historia real, sino un cliché-ensalada con un final predecible, tenemos problemas graves. Hay muchos tipos diferentes de cosas que podemos hacer para dar a la historia nuestro toque, nuestra marca única, que considero que es un pecado capital optar por una apuesta segura, en cualquier caso.

The Secret (Movie) / El Secreto (Película)

Hi guys! How's it going? I recently saw a movie that caused QUITE a stir, with its book. It's one of the few times I decided to go first for the adaptation before the book, and I have to say that the so famous "The Secret" is booooooring.
¡Hola chicos! ¿Qué tal les va? Hace poco vi una película que causó MUCHO revuelo, junto con su libro. Es una de las pocas veces que decidí irme primero por la adaptación antes que el libros, y tengo que decir que el tan famoso "El Secreto" es aburridísimo.

It all starts with a spectacular, perfect introduction and that anyone who sees it, loves it. As kinematic as out of the best historical and action movies, but falls dramatically as soon as this ends.

Todo comienza con una introducción espectacular, perfecta y que encanta a cualquiera que la ve. Tan cinemática, salida de las mejores películas históricas y de acción, pero que decae dramáticamente en cuanto esta termina.

The first half hour is interesting, quite striking. Different people talking and giving his opinion on the subject, providing data that could be useful, and words seeking to convince the public, but there comes a point where it becomes heavy, boring and repetitive ad nauseam.

La primera media hora es interesante, bastante llamativa. Diferentes personas hablando y dando su opinión sobre el tema, dando datos que podrían ser de utilidad, y con palabras que buscan convencer al público, pero llega a un punto donde se torna pesada, aburrida y repetitiva hasta el cansancio.
Here I can hardly talk about special effects, mainly by the plural. There's only one, interesting at first, a good metaphor for what they want to say, but used every five seconds, reaching seem boring and lackluster make a film that tries to be interesting.
Aquí me cuesta hablar de efectos especiales, principalmente por el plural. Hay uno solo, interesante al principio, una buena metáfora de lo que se quiere decir, pero usado cada cinco segundos, llegando a aburrir y a hacer parecer mediocre una película que pretende ser interesante.
I do not deny that there is some reality in what they say, because all the film seeks to give a message of self-improvement, positivity and others, but is decorated with so much sugar and mystery that seems very implausible to me.
No niego que hay cierta realidad en lo que se dice, ya que todo el largometraje busca dar un mensaje de auto-superación, positivismo y demás, pero viene decorado con tanta azúcar y misterio que me parece muy poco creíble.

Dull, mediocre, too ornated, and with an initial idea, a story that promised something interesting, forgotten. What happened to what we saw in the introduction? Completely wasted. A sign that it's better sometimes to seek our own life's philosophy than letting others give us theirs...

Aburrida, mediocre, demasiado adornada, y con una idea inicial, una historia que prometía algo interesante, relegada al olvido. ¿Qué pasó con lo que vimos en la introducción? Desaprovechada por completo. Una muestra de que a veces es mejor buscar nuestra propia filosofía de vida a dejar que otros nos la den...

Charmed: Season 4

Hi guys! How has it gone? I hope that good ;) For today I wanted to bring my views on the fourth season of Charmed, one of my favorites, no doubt.

¡Hola chicos! ¿Cómo les ha ido? Espero que bien ;) Para hoy quise traerles mi opinión sobre la cuarta temporada de Charmed, una de mis favoritas, sin duda.

After the death of Prue, I thought Charmed have many difficulties to get ahead, but creating the character of Paige Matthews was quite sensible and made sense. While it takes some getting used to, there are times where you forget a little about Prue.

Luego de la muerte de Prue, pensé que Charmed tendría muchas dificultades para salir adelante, pero crear el personaje de Paige Matthews fue bastante sensato y tuvo sentido. Si bien cuesta acostumbrarse a ella, hay momentos en donde te olvidas un poco de Prue.

Compared to other seasons, this is one of the darkest of the series, much better directed, produced and written, with occasional concordance mistakes , but generally much higher than the previous three.

En comparación con las demás temporadas, esta es una de las más oscuras de la serie, mucho mejor dirigida, producida y escrita, con alguno que otro error de concordancia, pero en general muy superior a las tres anteriores.

As always, the actings were impeccable, although I have some doubts about Julian McMahon as Cole, who has never convinced me as an actor, but that fills the minimum expectations so he doesn't completelly disappointment.

Igual que siempre, las actuaciones fueron impecables, aunque tengo algunas dudas con respecto a Julian McMahon como Cole, que nunca me ha convencido como actor, pero que llena las expectativas mínimas, así que no defrauda del todo.

Holly Marie Combs keeps shining as Piper Halliwell, there's an evolution is both the actress and the character, harder, mature and solid. In addition, Rose McGowan surprised me in her role just like Brian Krause as Leo Wyatt. Alyssa was somewhat weak in comparison, but she doesn't disappoint at all.

Holly Marie Combs sigue brillando como Piper Halliwel, se ve una evolución tanto en la actriz como en el personaje, más duro, maduro y sólido. Además, Rose McGowan me sorprendió en su papel, al igual que Brian Krause como Leo Wyatt. Alyssa estuvo algo débil en comparación, pero no decepciona en absoluto.
I don't really know what to say about the music composition, it wasn't relevant or memorable, a safe bet, as in other occasions, although I admit that the tracks at the beginning of several episodes during aerial shots were successful.

No sé realmente qué decir con respecto a la musicalización, no fue relevante ni memorable, una apuesta segura, igual que en otras ocasiones, aunque admito que los temas al principio de varios capítulos durante las tomas aéreas fueron acertados.

The effects this time are much better, and I loved that they used them so much in all of the episodes. They had literally exploding potions all the time, portals, powers and more, I think three times than usual, a very good success.

Los efectos en esta ocasión son también mucho mejores, y me encantó que los usaran tanto en todos los episodios. Literalmente habían pociones explotando a cada rato, portales, poderes y mucho más, creo que el triple de lo usual, un muy buen acierto.
I hope you watch Charmed if you haven't yet! It has its details, this is the truth, but it's one of the most entertaining series I've seen. If you did, I'd love to read your comments, and if you haven't seen it too :V See you tomorrow!

Tarot Witch of the Black Rose #99 + Through the Woods + Tarot Cafe Vol. 6

Hello people! How has it gone? Like every Sunday, it's time to talk about comics, and today I have three very special ^^
¡Hola gente! ¿Cómo les ha ido? Igual que todos los domingos, toca hablar de cómics, y para hoy tengo tres muy especiales ^^

Tarot Witch of the Black Rose #99 was a light, fast issue and I quite enjoyed reading, plus there's no need to tell you how much I love Jim's drawings with the colors of Holly.
Tarot Witch of the Black Rose #99 fue un número ligero, rápido y que disfruté bastante de leer, además de que no hace falta que les diga lo mucho que me encantan los dibujos de Jim con los colores de Holly.
This time we found out a little about our favorite witch's past, the kind of life she had before, along with a somewhat special friendship. I can say that is quite ingenious in all the elements it uses and Jim Balent seems to have an endless creativity because of it.

En esta ocasión descubrimos un poco del pasado de nuestra bruja favorita, el tipo de vida que tenía antes, junto con una amistad un tanto particular. Puedo decir que es bastante ingenioso en todos los elementos que utiliza y que Jim Balent parece tener una creatividad interminable por eso mismo.

It prepares the ground for what we'll see in the hundredth issue of this comic, doesn't disappoint, but creates a lot of expectations and promises a lot in terms of the next chapter of the story. It's hard to believe that are two months of waiting, but we have to wait ...
Prepara muy bien lo que veremos en el centésimo número de este cómic, no decepciona, sino que crea muchas expectativas y promete bastante en cuanto al siguiente capítulo de la historia. Es difícil creer que son dos meses de espera, pero toca esperar...

I'm not into reading graphic novels, just because of not knowing any I might like, more than anything else, but Through the Woods, by Emily Carrol, was a work of art in both aspects: stories and graphics.
No soy de leer novelas gráficas, solo por el hecho de no conocer alguna que podría gustarme, más que cualquier otra cosa, pero Through the Woods, por Emily Carrol, fue una obra de arte en ambos aspectos: historias y gráficos.

Each of the tales there are quite original, have the charm of those old stories that we learned as children, along with an atmosphere and totally surprising, dark twist, much like the style of Edgar Allan Poe. Entertaining, although some were short in sense.

Cada uno de los cuentos que hay son bastante originales, tienen el encanto de esas viejas historias que aprendimos de niños, junto con un ambiente y giro totalmente sorpresivo, oscuro, muy al estilo de Edgar Allan Poe. Entretenidos, aunque algunos se quedan cortos en cuanto al sentido.

As for art, it was simple and at the same time well-crafted, incorporating narration and dialogues in an artistical form. Doesn't have many details, you can practically see everything on the page with a quick glance, but the so intense colors with the contrast impact so much you stay watching for another while.

En cuanto al arte, fue sencillo y a la vez bien elaborado, incorporando la narración y los diálogos de forma artística. No tiene muchos detalles, prácticamente puedes ver todo lo que hay en la página con una mirada rápida, pero los colores tan intensos junto con el contraste impactan de tal manera que te quedas viendo por otro rato.

You already know how much I love The Tarot Cafe, how it has become one of my favorite stories, and I think I'm getting a little obsessed with Park's work because I've just add all of her books to my TBR list. To be honest, when I read Tarot Cafe Vol. 6, what I thought impossible came to life: it was better than all the past volumes!

Ya saben lo mucho que amo The Tarot Cafe, la forma en que se ha convertido en una de mis historias favoritas, y creo que estoy un poco obsesionado con el trabajo de Park porque acabo de añadir todos sus libros a mi lista de TBR. Para ser honesto, cuando leí Tarot Cafe Vol. 6, lo que me pareció imposible se volvió realidad: ¡Fue mejor que todos los anteriores volúmenes!
Pamela's life is one of the most entertaining things I've found in my life. Everything is well explained, has its reason to be, interesting characters, and despite Park has changed the style of her stories, focusing on Pamela's life and not in her clients, it's a change that you don't really notice and even enjoy.
La vida de Pamela es una de las cosas más entretenidas que he encontrado en mi vida. Todo está bien explicado, tiene su razón de ser, personajes interesantes, y a pesar de que Park ha cambiado el estilo de sus historias, centrándose en la vida de Pamela y no en sus clientes, pero es un cambio que no te das cuenta, e incluso disfrutar.
It is hard to think that I only have one more book before reading the whole series, but it has been a very good one and it has lasted enough time. If anyone asks me, I don't know what will happen on the next chapter, but I expect a big fight between demons and dragons. Let's hope it is that way!
Es difícil pensar que sólo tengo un libro más antes de leer toda la serie, pero ha sido una muy buena y que ha durado el tiempo suficiente. Si alguien me pregunta, no sé qué va a pasar en el siguiente capítulo, pero espero una pelea grande entre demonios y dragones. Esperemos que es de esa manera!

The main idea is to have all the memorable moments of Gaga, from her first album, but the interesting thing in the project is that the chronicle will end only when the Mother Monster's life does. Ambitious? A lot.
La idea principal es contar todos los momentos memorables de Gaga, desde su primer álbum, pero lo interesante del proyecto es que la crónica terminará solamente cuando acabe la vida de la Mother Monster. ¿Ambicioso? Bastante. 

I was a full day reading what is it and, after winning a sore back, I can say that Carlos really knows how to tell and choose the best episodes of Gaga, omitting some maybe for their little relevance, but narrating everything accurately.

Estuve un día completo leyendo lo que va de ella y, luego de ganar un dolor de espalda, puedo decir que Carlos realmente sabe contar y escoger los mejores episodios de Gaga, omitiendo algunos seguramente por su poca relevancia, pero narrando todo de manera acertada.
A little extra I want to add is that he let me design the new cover for the book *fanboy scream* and I plan to unashamedly use his work for a similar project I've been thinking for some time and think it's time to start.
Un pequeño extra que quiero añadir es que me dejó diseñar la nueva portada para el libro *grito fanboy* y que pienso usar desvergonzadamente su trabajo para un proyecto similar que he venido pensando desde hace tiempo y que creo ya es momento de ponerlo en marcha.
I hope to encourage them to read it, it's almost a bible for us Little Monsters! We read morning with some comics section, PAWS UP!

Hello guys, how are you? It's Friday and it means music!
Hola chicos, ¿cómo están? ¡Es viernes y significa música!
This time I would like to show you one of my favorite bands, Inventions, from Autralia, a group of people who know exactly how to make you learn their lyrics, and I'm not kidding! It took me just a couple of days to sing along with Jacob Leaney.
Esta vez me gustaría mostrarles una de mis bandas favoritas, Inventions, de Autralia, un grupo de gente que sabe exactamente cómo hacer que aprendas sus letras, ¡y no estoy bromeando! Me tomó un par de días para cantar junto con Jacob Leaney.
My favorite tracks are Veil and Straight, but I still love the whole EP! Sadly, I lost it when my computer crashed, and since it isn't free anymore, I can only listen it online, but I know many of you would like to buy your own copy! (I would if I could.) So, here it is! The Brothers Grimm

Hello there, how are you today, people? I just watched a movie and wanted to tell you about it, despite you may have heard some things already. A retelling of the Brothers Grimm themselves with many of their fairy tales, and, in an explosion of originality, named The Brothers Grimm.

Hola, ¿cómo están hoy, gente? Acabo de ver una película y quería contarles de ella, a pesar de podrían haber oído algunas cosas ya. Un recuento de los mismísimos hermanos Grimm con muchos de sus cuentos de hadas, y, en una explosión de originalidad, llamado The Brothers Grimm.
The story is quite interesting: two brothers travel Germany during the French occupation, faking their fights against evil, paranormal forces, until they are forced to deal with a real and dangerous magic that has been stealing the girls from a small village.
La historia es bastante interesante: dos hermanos viajan por Alemania durante la ocupación francesa, falsificando sus luchas contra oscuras fuerzas del mal, hasta que se ven obligados a hacer frente a una magia real y peligrosa que ha estado robando las niñas de un pequeño pueblo.
As you can imagine, this is a dark and gothic fantasy film, with some elements from fairy tales and other from horror stories. It's a very creative idea, if you ask me, but I did recognize some little things from Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow, almost a copy.
Como se pueden imaginar, esta es una película de fantasía oscura y gótica, con algunos elementos de los cuentos de hadas y otros de las historias de terror. Es una idea muy creativa, si me preguntan, pero que me hizo reconocer algunas pequeñas cosas del Sleepy Hollow de Tim Burton, casi una copia.
I admit that the script is not very good, there are some strange scenes and the first half hour was really slow, not interesting at all, but when the magic, the real one, started to appear, I kept watching the movie until the end, trying not to miss a thing.

Tengo que reconocer que el guión no es muy bueno, hay algunas escenas extrañas y la primera media hora fue muy lento, no es interesante en absoluto, pero cuando la magia, la verdadera, comenzó a aparecer, me quedé viendo la película hasta el final , tratando de no perderme nada.
Matt Damon and Heath Ledger were amazing, very good in their performances as such a personification of the mythical brothers, and I can say I'm really impressed with them; now I understand why so many people love them.
Matt Damon y Heath Ledger fueron increíbles, muy buenos en sus actuaciones como una personificación de los míticos hermanos, y puedo decir que estoy muy impresionado con ellos; ahora entiendo por qué les encantan a tantas personas.
It's strange not to say the same thing about Lena Headley, who had a character with lot of potential but that was overshadowed by the annoying cliche of the damsel in distress. It's cool to see something different to the overused kick-ass girls of this time, but a worse option didn't fix it.
Es extraño por no decir lo mismo acerca de Lena Headley, que tenía un personaje con mucho potencial pero que fue eclipsado por el molesto cliché de la damisela en apuros. Es genial ver algo diferente a las chicas alotas tan excesivas de este tiempo, pero una opción peor no lo soluciona.
Although Monica Bellucci had not much time in the screen, I find her role as interesting and successful in terms of presentation. Elegant and creepy, sexy and dangerous. A good dose of the classical logic in fairy tales, kinda foolish, but entertaining.
Aunque Monica Bellucci no tuvo mucho tiempo en la pantalla, encuentro su papel interesante y exitoso en términos de presentación. Elegante y tétrica, atractiva y peligrosa. Una buena dosis de la lógica clásica en los cuentos de hadas, un poco tonta, pero entretenida.

If anyone asks me about my favorite aspect of this movie, it is the photography, without any doubt. It's gorgeous and I'd love to see more films doing it like this one. Perfect planes and framings, and the mutant colors... Did I mention I love them?
Si alguien me pregunta por mi aspecto favorito de esta película, es la fotografía, sin ninguna duda. Es precioso y me encantaría ver más películas de hacerlo como éste. planos y encuadres perfectos, y los colores de mutantes... ¿He mencionado que los amo?
About the scenarios, all of them worked very well. Every single detail was taken care of, everything was in its rightful place at the moment of filming and added a unique enchant to the movie. It really looked like a dark fairy tale with its own beauty.
Sobre los escenarios, todos ellos trabajaron muy bien. Cada detalle fue cuidado, todo estaba en su lugar correcto en el momento de la filmación y añadió un encantamiento único para la película. Realmente parecía un cuento de hadas oscuro con su propia belleza.
The special effects were... special, there's no better word for them. They do look cheap in comparison to others, but somehow they match the complete movie. For me, there are two diametrically opposed points of view about them: either you love them or hate them, and I think it's clear I belong to the first group.
Los efectos especiales fueron... especiales, no hay mejor palabra para ellos. Sí parecen baratos en comparación con otros, pero de alguna manera combinan con la película completa. Para mí, hay dos puntos de vista completamente opuestos sobre ellos: O los aman o los odian, y creo que está claro que pertenezco al primer grupo.
So, to summarize, this is a very cult-like film with clear references and that marked some new ones for the next movies, the most clear example is "Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters." Love it or hate it, there's no mid point for this movie.

Así que, para resumir, esta es una película como de culto con referencias claras y que marcó algunas nuevos para próximas películas, el ejemplo más claro es "Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters". Ámenla u ódienla, no hay punto medio para esta película.
