Manga: Cagaster Vol. 3

Buenas buenas, Nocturnos. ¿Cómo va la semana? Sé que ya les hablé de un manga esta semana, pero hoy quería hacerlo una vez más porque esta historia me sorprende cada vez más. Me tomó solo un dia devorarme Cagaster Vol. 3, por Kachou Hasimoto, y sigo con ganas de más. ^^ ¡Gracias a la editorial por enviarme una copia a cambio de una reseña honesta!

Las repercusiones del trágico pasado de Kidow continúan alterando el presente. A pesar de los arreglos hechos por Qasim, Lygi se niega a ir a una escuela en E-01. En cuanto a Hadi, destituido del ejército por no haber matado a un paciente convertido en cagaster, sabe que se están produciendo extraños movimientos de tropas y que ocurrió un extraño incidente en el sector de donde proviene Ilie. Tendrá que ponerse en contacto con Kidow para aclarar este asunto...

Este volumen nos muestra gran parte de lo que sucedió en el pasado para que Kidow fuese el chico que es ahora. Como dije en su momento, podía llegar a ser un personaje psicológicamente complejo, y esperaba una buena razón para que fuese seco y frío en muchas ocasiones. Cagaster Vol. 3 nos lo cuenta todo, o al menos una gran parte, porque nunca se puede estar seguro del todo, por lo que empiezas a simpatizar mucho más con él.

Illie también tiene unas cuantas sorpresas bajo la manga, además de servir como catalizador para entender todo lo que está sucediendo en el fondo, por qué hay personas interesadas en ella, de dónde vienen, de dónde viene ella misma, y todo lo que colleva su historia para la trama en general. Aunque veía venir algunos detalles, Kachou Hasimoto me dejó boquiabierto con otros.

El arte sigue siendo excelente, con un estilo que me encanta, muy limpio, fácil de seguir, de disfrutar, y que combina la sensibilidad y la crudeza a partes iguales para que esta serie sea tan llamativa. Hay un contraste interesante que refleja la ambigüedad moral de los personajes, junto con los claroscuros que ellos mismos construyen. Ni Kidow es tan miserable, ni Illie tan inocente.

 Kachou Hasimoto sabe cómo jugar con los lectores a la vez que les da suficiente en un único volumen, haciendo que Cagaster Vol. 3 se lea en una sentada, se disfrute con intensidad, pero te deje con muchas ganas de más. Quedan varias preguntas sin resolver, y hubo algunos detalles que no me quedaron del todo claros, pero ya todo va tomando un buen rumbo, uno que estoy seguro va a ser muy disfrutable.

It took me just one day to devour Cagaster Vol. 3, by Kachou Hasimoto, and I still want more. ^^ Thanks to the publisher for sending me a copy in exchange for an honest review!

The repercussions of Kidow's tragic past continue to upset the present. Despite the arrangements made by Qasim, Lygi refuses to go to a school at E-01. As for Hadi, dismissed from the army for not having killed a patient turned cagaster, he knows that strange troop movements are at work and that a strange incident occurred in the sector where Ilie comes from. He will have to contact Kidow to clear up this matter…

This volume shows us much of what happened in the past so that Kidow became the guy he is now. As I said at the time, he could be a psychologically complex character, and I hoped for good reason for him to be dry and cold on many occasions. Cagaster Vol. 3 tells us everything, or at least a large part, because you can never be sure of everything, so you start to sympathize with him much more.

Illie also has a few surprises up her sleeve, as well as serving as a catalyst for understanding everything that is going on in the background, why people are interested in her, where they come from, where she herself comes from, and everything her story means for the plot in general. Although I saw some details coming, Kachou Hasimoto blew me away with others.

The art is still excellent, with a style that I love, very clean, easy to follow, to enjoy, and that combines sensitivity and rawness in equal parts to make this series so striking. There is an interesting contrast that reflects the moral ambiguity of the characters, along with the chiaroscuro that they themselves construct. Neither Kidow is that miserable, nor Illie that innocent.

Kachou Hasimoto knows how to play with readers while giving them enough in a single volume, making Cagaster Vol. 3 read in one sitting, intensely enjoyable, but leaving you wanting more. There are several unresolved questions, and there were some details that were not entirely clear to me, but everything is already taking a good course, one that I am sure will be very enjoyable.
