¡Feliz fin de semana, Nocturnos! Espero que estén muy bien. Durante la semana decidí volver a Wattpad, retomar las lecturas que tengo pendientes allí y ver de qué me estaba perdiendo. Resulta, acontece, pasa y sucede que de mucho. Lo supe cuando leí Noctiluca, de Leónidas Küdell.

Antes que nada, es una historia infantil. Lo digo porque en serio que no tenía ni idea de eso cuando empecé. Me esperaba algo juvenil, y me encontré con la dulzura y ternura de la infancia. Me chocó un poco, considerando la portada, tan oscura y que pareciera de terror o incluso romance paranormal, pero una vez me di cuenta devoré a historia sin pensarlo.
Lucía, o Luca, como más se la llama, es una medusa entrañable, un personaje sencillo que es imposible no amar. Tengo que decir que leer Noctiluca me recordó mucho a cuando leí Juan Salvador Gaviota, una de las tres historias que me hicieron querer ser escritor. (Video en inglés con pronunciación cuestionable). Es el tipo de cuento que les leería a mis hijos, si los tuviera en este momento. Ja.
Leo tiene un estilo hermoso, lleno de descripciones preciosas y una historia sencilla pero efectiva. Amé cada capítulo de Noctiluca, por si no es obvio ya, junto con los mensajes que aparecen en ellos, los cuales apuntan hacia la tolerancia y aceptación de la diversidad en todas sus formas. Tiene bien merecidos los premios que ha ganado en Wattpad. Si no lo han hecho aún, vayan y léanla, que les prometo no se van a arrepentir.

Happy weekend, Nocturnes! I hope you all are okay. During the week I decided to go back to Wattpad, resume the readings that I have pending there, and see what I was missing. First of all, it is a children's story. I mean this because I seriously had no idea about that when I started. I was expecting something youthful, and I found the sweetness and tenderness of childhood. I was a little shocked, considering the cover, so dark and that seemed to be a horror one, or even paranormal romance, but once I realized it I devoured the story without thinking.
Lucía, or Luca, as she is more called, is an endearing jellyfish, a simple character that it's impossible not to love. I have to say that reading Noctiluca reminded me a lot of when I read Juan Salvador Gaviota, one of the three stories that made me want to be a writer. (Video in English with questionable pronunciation). It's the kind of story I would read to my children if I had them right now. Ha
Leo has a beautiful style, full of beautiful descriptions, and a simple but effective story. I loved each chapter of Noctiluca, just in case it's not already obvious, along with the messages that appear in them, which point towards tolerance and acceptance of diversity in all their forms. It is well deserved for the awards it has won on Wattpad. If you have not already done so, go and read it, I promise you will not regret it.
