Manga Review: My Noisy Roommate 1

¡Hola Nocturnos! Hace poco leí un manga que me encantó desde el principio. Es una historia tierna y divertida sobre un chico que descubre que es un imán para los monstruos cuando comienza a vivir con otro chico para evitar quedarse sin hogar. ¡Y le pagan por eso! Cuando Osuke pierde su hogar, se presenta una oportunidad conveniente, demasiado conveniente, porque su nuevo compañero de habitación es un chico rubio atractivo con algunas ideas extrañas sobre lo sobrenatural... Si pensabas que Los Cazafantasmas habría sido mucho mejor como BL, ¡este es el manga para ti!

Osuke está emocionado por finalmente poder vivir solo, pero en su primer día en su nuevo apartamento, ¡se encuentra echado a la calle! Entonces, cuando un agente inmobiliario aparece de la nada ofreciéndole un hermoso y nuevo lugar (con solo un par de condiciones), aprovecha la oportunidad. Pero cuando abre la puerta, ¡aparece un chico rubio increíblemente hermoso! ¡Resulta que vivir con él es una de las condiciones! Su nombre es Nijio, y le dice a Osuke que, no solo los fantasmas son reales, sino que el propio Osuke es un imán para todo lo sobrenatural...

¡Este manga fue muy divertido! Tanto la escritura como el arte son preciosos. Me llevó a un viaje lleno de fantasmas, entidades, y mucha tensión entre los dos personajes principales. Osuke es definitivamente mi favorito por ser más humano, mientras que Nijio es más un cliché un poco trabajado. Admito que no me impresionó, ni me sorprendió, pero aún así esperaba algo diferente.

Lo que más me gustó fue que todavía había algunos elementos originales para mí junto con la dinámica entre estos dos. La historia es bastante simple, pero te llama la atención desde el principio, sobre todo por el arte. Sin embargo, el guión se vuelve mucho más sólido después de unas pocas páginas, brillando por sí solo. Tal vez no sea espectacular, ¡pero es un buen comienzo para lo que podría ser una gran historia!

Hubo momentos en los que sentí que todo era muy idealizado e irreal. Obviamente, esta es una historia de fantasía, pero uno de los aspectos más importantes para mí es que los personajes sean creíbles, que parezcan reales aunque solo estén en el papel. Las decisiones y comportamientos de Osuke me sacaron de la lectura por eso. Siguió haciendo cosas que el creador quería que hiciera, no porque tuviera que hacerlas.

En resumen, una lectura divertida y tierna sobre dos polos opuestos con potencial para más. No tuvo un comienzo fuerte, pero fue lo suficientemente sólida como para engancharme y encantarme con el desarrollo. ¡Estoy ansioso por aprender más sobre su mundo, su magia, y lo que sucede con Osuke!

When Osuke loses his home, a convenient opportunity presents itself--too convenient, because his new roommate is a hot blond guy with some weird ideas about the supernatural... If you thought Ghostbusters would've been way better as a BL, this is the manga for you!

Osuke's excited about finally getting to live on his own, but on his first day in his new apartment, he finds himself kicked out onto the street! So, when a real estate agent appears out of nowhere offering him a beautiful, new place (with just a couple conditions), he jumps at the chance. But when he opens the door, a drop-dead gorgeous blond guy pops out! It turns out living with him is one of the conditions! His name is Nijio, and he tells Osuke that, not only are ghosts real, but Osuke himself is a magnet for all things supernatural...

Fans of FANGS, The Dragon's Betrothed, and other tantalizing supernatural yaoi/BL couples--the door's open, come on in!

This was such a fun manga! The writing and the art are both gorgeous. It took me in for a ride full of ghosts, entities, and a lot of tension between the two main characters. Osuke is definitely my favorite for being more human, whereas Nijio is more of a slightly worked cliché. I admit it didn't impress me, or surprise me, but I was still expecting something different.

What I liked the most was that there were still some original elements for me along with the dynamic between these two. The story is quite simple, yet catches your attention from the beginning, mostly because of the art. However, the script becomes much more solid after a few pages, shining on its own. Maybe not spectacular, but a good start for what could be a great story!

There were times when I felt everything was very idealized and unreal. This is obviously a fantasy story, but one of the most important aspects for me is that the characters are believable, that they seem real even though they're just in the paper. Osuke's choices and behaviors took me out of the reading because of this. He kept doing things that the creator wanted him to do, not because he had to do them.

In short, a funny, cute reading about two opposites with the potential for more. It didn't have a strong start, but it was solid enough to hook me up and charm me with the development. I'm eager to learn more about their world, their magic, and what happens with Osuke!
