Buenos días, Nocturnos. ¿Cómo inició la semana? Yo sigo poniéndome al día con las lecturas, pero con un ojo siempre en las actualizaciones, y hoy vengo con una precisamente. Se trata del capítulo 7 de The Hunters Guild: Red Hood, de Yuki Kawaguchi. Aunque ya hay capítulos pagos, este sigue estando gratis en la web de VIZ Media.

Debo admitir que este capítulo no fue la gran cosa, muy suave, sencillo, sin mucho contenido. El arte estuvo muy bien, sin mucho que recalcar, pero el guión no me convenció del todo. No hay un gancho o un giro inesperado, ni siquiera la sorpresa que nos espera al final del capítulo parece ser la gran cosa, y es frustrante porque aunque lo leo más de una vez siento que igual me estoy leyendo un manga más.

Evidentemente es un capítulo que sirve de antesala para algo mejor por venir, una especie de descanso luego de las peleas y la tensión de los anteriores, pero me esperaba algo mejor viniendo de Yuki Kawaguchi. Aunque entiendo que hace falta bajar la intensidad de la trama de vez en cuando, no vi nada resaltante o que hiciera que este capítulo resaltara.

No puedo decir que The Ironworks me decepcionó, pero sí que esperaba algo mejor. Tengo expectativas para el siguiente, y muchas esperanzas de que The Hunters Guild: Red Hood recupere la energía que tuvo al principio, así que solo toca esperar.

I must admit that this chapter was not a big deal, very smooth, straightforward, without much content. The art was very good, without much to emphasize, but the script didn't convince me at all. There's no hook or unexpected twist, not even the surprise that awaits us at the end of the chapter seems to be the great thing, and it is frustrating because although I read it more than once I feel that I am still reading just another manga.

Obviously it's a chapter that serves as a prelude for something better to come, a kind of rest after the fights and the tension of the previous ones, but I expected something better coming from Yuki Kawaguchi. Although I understand that it's necessary to lower the intensity of the plot from time to time, I didn't see anything that stands out or makes this chapter stand out.

I can't say I was disappointed by The Ironworks, but I did expect better. I have expectations for the next one, and high hopes that The Hunters Guild: Red Hood will regain the energy it had at the beginning, so we just have to wait.
