Again reviews day and I'm still reasing early to write this entry! Today's book is Relatos Ateos , by Gusmar Sosa.
El libro es una antología de cuentos cortos del autor, los cuales abordan el tema de la religión, el fanatismo, el amor, el sufrimiento, el maltrato, pero siempre desde una perspectiva teológica.
The book is an antology of shor stories by the autor, which address the issue of religion, bigotry, love, suffering, abuse, but always from a theological perspective.
Hay cuentos realmente buenos en esta antología, pero mis dos favoritos sinceramente son el del guardia de supermercado y el de la chica que no se casó con su verdadero amor. Te ponen a pensar seriamente si todo lo que enseña la biblia es como tú lo crees, el primero, y si realmente hay que juzgar por la religión o creencia que profesa alguna persona, el segundo.
There are stories reallly goods in this antology, but my two favorites are the one that talks about a watch man of a super arket and the ona that talks about the girl who who did not marry his true love. We have to think seriously if all the Bible teaches is how you believe it is, 'cause the first, and if you really have to judge by religion or belief that someone professes, 'cause the second.
Con esto no quiero decir que los demás cuentos son de menor calidad, todo lo contrario: Cada cuento tienen una chispa que te hace pensar más y más acerca del tema que trata, pero esos dos en particular fueron los que más me impactaron.
With this I don't say that the other stories aren't good enought, quite the opposite: Each story has a spark that makes you think more and more about the subject matter, but those two in particular were the ones I hit.
Me gusta pensar en que la religión puede unir a las personas, pero las personas usan la misma religión para separarse y herirse; los que no piensen igual que yo, invitados están a leer los cuentos que están en la antología.
I like to think that religion can unite people, but the people use the same religion to separete and hurts; those who don't think like me, are invited to read the stories in this antology.
Es uno de los libros que más me ha gustado hasta ahora de Gusmar, pero creo que se quedó un poco falto de ideas, pues ahora que leí casi todos los libros que tiene, veo argumentos repetidos y personajes reciclados. Paisano, ¿Qué pasó allí? Dime que fue un descuido, porque te conozco y sé que ideas te sobran y tienes hasta para regalar.
Is one of the books I most liked at now from Gusmar, but I think that he was short in ideas, now I read almost all his books, I see arguments repeated and recycled characters. Friend, what happened there? Tell me it was an oversight, because I know you and I know that you have so many ideas and have even to give away.
