¡Hola! ¿Cómo se sienten hoy, Nocturnos? Con Sol de Medianoche acercándose más y más cada día, recordé muchas cosas que amaba de Crepúsculo, y hay una en particular que destacó por encima de todo en esta serie: Isabella Swan.
Puedo entender que algunas personas no pueden soportarla, pero Bella Swan es una mujer poderosa, es un ejemplo para sus lectoras y me encantaría que si alguna vez tengo una hija que sea tan valiente e intrépida como ella. Necesitamos más chicas como ella, y no estoy hablando de personajes que se mantengan castos y puros hasta la boda. Déjenme explicar, libro por libro:
Crepúculo: Bella estaba en su punto más débil aquí, plana e incluso aburrida a veces, lo admito, pero causó una impresión cuando fue capaz de engañar a una vampira psíquica y uno que podía influir en sus sentimientos, y todo para mantener alejado a un vampiro sádico de su papá, amigos y novio. Los reto a que hagan lo mismo.
Luna Nueva: A pesar de que alcanzó lo más bajo, me gustó cómo Bella enfrentó a toda la manada de Quileute cuando pensó que le habían hecho algo a Jacob. Que también decidiera lo que quería al final del libro y lo consultara con toda la familia Cullen también fue increíble. Bella demostró que tiene sus ideas claras y no acepta un no por respuesta.
Eclipse: Todos saben que los vampiros y los lobos juntos son un desastre, pero Bella insistió en que las diferencias no eran importantes cuando un ejército de vampiros se dirigía a Fork. Tuvo una actitud sensata con ambas partes, los hizo trabajar juntos y habló con más honestidad y franqueza que en el pasado. ¡Incluso se usó a sí misma como distracción para asegurar la victoria!
Amanecer: Mi madre es mi ídolo, punto, y el hecho de que Bella se mantuviera firme sobre tener a su bebé fue IN-CRE-Í-BLE. Hizo lo que tenía que hacer para continuar, incluso si eso significaba perderlo todo. Las cosas mejoraron aún más cuando decidió enfrentar a los Vulturi para defender a su familia, desarrollando su don lo más posible. ¡La amé en este libro más que nunca!

Muchos detractores excusan sus comentarios debido a las películas, donde Bella parece ser mucho más débil, y que está obsesionada con Edward, pero, sobre el primero, es muy diferente en los libros, y en cuanto al segundo, ¿quién puede culparla? Hi there! How are you feeling today, Nighters? With Midnight Sun coming nearer and nearer each day, I remembered many things I loved from Twilight, and there is one in particular I loved the most about this series: Isabella Swan.
I can understand that some people cannot stand her, but Bella Swan is a powerful woman, she’s an example for her female readers and I would love it if I ever have a daughter as brave and fearless as she is. We need more girls like her, and I’m not talking about characters that remain chaste and pure until wedding. Let me explain, book by book:
Twilight: Bella was on her weakest point here, dull and even boring sometimes, I admit it, but she made an impression when she was able to fool a psychic vampire and one who could influence her feelings, and all to keep a sadistic vampire away from her dad, friends and boyfriend. I dare you to do the same.
New Moon: Despite she hit the lowest low, I liked how Bella faced the whole Quileute pack when she thought they had done something to Jacob. That she also decided what she wanted at the end of the book and consulted it with all of the Cullen family was amazing as well. Bella proved she has her ideas clear and doesn’t take a no for an answer.
Eclipse: Everyone knows vampires and wolves together are a disaster in the making, but Bella was adamant that differences were unimportant when a vampire army was on its way to forks. She had a no-nonsense attitude with both sides, made them work together, and spoke more honestly and straightforward than in the past. She even used herself as a distraction to secure victory!
Breaking Dawn: My mom’s my idol, no questioning this, and the fact that Bella stood strong and firm about having her baby was AWE-SOME. She did what she had to do to carry on even if it meant losing it all. Things got even better when she decided to face the Volturi to defend her family, developing her gift as much as possible. I loved her in this book more than ever before!
Many haters excuse their comments because of the movies, where Bella seems to be way much weaker, and that she is obsessed with Edward, but, about the first one, she’s very different in the books, and as for the second, who can blame her? I’ll talk about Edward in the future, so stay tuned!
