La historia es bastante corta, pero preciosa, llena de muchas enseñanzas y con una dosis ligera de fantasía. Es más bien un cuento sobre los valores y la hermandad, bastante bonito y que podría convertirse en una increíble película considerando que Rosa es mucho más aventurera que Blanca.
Ambas niñas viven con su madre en el bosque, una vieja viuda que las ha criado para que sean buenas y bondadosas en todo momento, y que la ayudan en todo lo que pueden. Aunque Blanca es más tranquila y prefiere estar en casa, Rosa es más aventurera, más intrépida, pero las une un lazo irrompible de amor incondicional de una por la otra, y juran siempre compartirlo todo entre las dos.

Durante esos meses, las hermanas se encuentran con un enano en problemas. quien se mantiene grosero y altanero a pesar de que lo ayudan desinteresadamente. Primero es cortando su barba atascada bajo un árbol, luego cortándola de nuevo de la caña de pescar para que no se lo lleve el río, y finalmente estropeando su ropa al espantar un ave que se lo quería llevar.
Luego del tercer encuentro, un oso aparece y el enano le pide que se coma a las niñas y no a él, pues es pequeño y no lo sentiría entre sus dientes. El oso resulta ser el amigo de las hermanas, mata a enano de un zarpazo y se convierte en un príncipe vestido en oro. Este les cuenta que el enano lo había convertido en oso para tomar sus joyas, y que matándolo se rompió el encanto. Blanca Nieves termina casándose con el príncipe, Rosa Roja con su hermano, y la madre vivió tranquilamente en el palacio hasta sus últimos días.
Bonito, ¿no? Les sugiero leer la historia original, que es mucho más encantadora que esta versión despedazada. ^^' ¿Qué es lo que me gusta tanto? Que es una historia sin el famoso beso de amor verdadero. Blanca y Rosa son poderosas por su hermandad, son independientes, son valientes, y lo que hace una, la otra también. Combinado con la historia de Blancanieves, podríamos esperarnos una aventura épica llena de peleas, porque con dos hermanas tan unidas es fácil imaginar lo devastada que quedará Rosa y lo poco que le va a importar el amor. Aquí no se trata de romance, sino de hermandad.
Disney ya hizo tres películas sobre hermanas, primero con Lilo y Stitch, seguida por las dos de Frozen, y el tema del oso fue muy poderoso en Valiente. Aquí podríamos ver una historia que lo junte todo, aunque viniendo de la casa del ratón es difícil estar seguros. Good morning, Nighters! I hope you're all okay. Remember when I told you about some such Snow-White and Rose-Red? Disney is still preparing that live action and I am very anxious to see how it will be. Just to avoid confusion, I remind you that the story has nothing to do with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
The story is quite short, but beautiful, full of many teachings and with a light dose of fantasy. It's rather a story about values and sisterhood, really beautiful and that could be turned into a great movie considering that Rose is much more adventurous than Snow.
Both girls live with their mother in the forest, an old widow who has raised them to be good and kind at all times, and who help her in any way they can. Although Snow is calmer and prefers to be at home, Rose is more adventurous, more intrepid, but they are united by an unbreakable bond of unconditional love for each other, and they always swear to share everything between the two.

One day, a bear asks for shelter for the night, and the girls quickly become his friends, until he tells them that he must be away for a while taking care of his treasure from the dwarves. The bear leaves, but Snow sees something shiny under his fur when she says goodbye. She pays no attention to it and the summer is passing.
During those months, the sisters encounter a troubled dwarf. who remains rude and haughty despite they selflessly helping him. First it is cutting his beard stuck under a tree, then cutting it again from the fishing rod so that the river does not take him away, and finally spoiling his clothes by scaring away a bird that wanted to take him away.
After the third encounter, a bear appears and the dwarf asks him to eat the girls and not him, since he's small and would not feel him between his teeth. The bear turns out to be the sisters' friend, kills the dwarf with a claw and turns into a prince dressed in gold. He tells them that the dwarf had turned him into a bear to take his jewels, and that by killing him the spell was broken. Snow White ends up marrying the prince, Red Rose his brother, and the mother lived quietly in the palace until her last days.
Nice, isn't it? I suggest reading the original story, which is much more charming than this shattered version. ^^' What do I like so much about it? That it's a story without the famous kiss of true love. Snow and Rose are powerful because of their sisterhood, they are independent, they are brave, and what one does, the other also. Combined with the story of Snow White, we could expect an epic adventure full of fights, because with two sisters so close together it's easy to imagine how devastated Rose will be and how little love's going to matter to her. It is not about romance here, but about sisterhood.
Disney has already made three movies about sisters, first with Lilo and Stitch, followed by both of Frozen, and the bear theme was very powerful in Brave. Here we could see a story that brings it all together, although coming from the House of Mouse it's hard to be sure.
