Hay libros que te sorprenden, y me pasó recientemente. Encontré una saga de ciencia ficción de la que no me pude despegar, que me hizo emocionarme y preocuparme por los personajes, por lo que pasaría después, y que no pude soltar hasta terminarla. Se trata de No. 6, una historia de Atsuko Asano, adaptada al manga por Hinoki Kino.

planes de leer esta serie. Encontré el primer volumen por casualidad en mi
biblioteca local y decidí darle una oportunidad. Aunque los primeros tres no me
convencieron del todo, a partir del cuarto sentí que todo mejoraba muchísimo.
Entonces empecé a leer sin parar.
Obviamente
el arte es precioso, limpio y de estilo adaptable dependiendo de las escenas, y
me gustaron especialmente los diseños de los personajes. Sin embargo, la
crítica social tan agresiva y el desarrollo del mundo de Shion y Rat está tan
bien construidos que me dejaron boquiabierto
Sí hubiese
preferido un poco más de trasfondo, explicación, y escenas más extensas en
algunos casos. Detalles como la transformación de Shion, el pasado de Rat, incluso
Safu, merecían más atención. Había momentos en que tenía que detenerme para
releer y asegurarme de que no me salté nada importante.
Con
romance que sirve de complemento perfecto, No. 6 es una serie que toma un poco de
tiempo en despegar, pero una vez que lo hace se vuelve irresistible, difícil de
soltar. El cierre es hermoso, y te deja con ganas de leer las novelas originales. ¡Yo pienso hacerlo tan pronto como pueda!

There are books that surprise you, and it happened to me recently. I found a science fiction saga that I couldn't get away from, that made me emotional and worry about the characters, about what would happen next, and that I couldn't put down until I finished it. It's No. 6, a story by Atsuko Asano, adapted to manga by Hinoki Kino.

I had no plans to read this series. I found the first volume by chance at my local library and decided to give it a try. Although the first three didn't fully convince me, after the fourth I felt that everything improved a lot. So I started reading non-stop.
The art is obviously beautiful, clean and adaptable in style depending on the scenes, and I especially liked the character designs. However, the aggressive social criticism and the development of the world of Shion and Rat is so well constructed that it blew my mind.
Yes, I would have preferred a little more background, explanation, and longer scenes in some cases. Details like Shion's transformation, Rat's past, even Safu, deserved more attention. There were times when I had to stop to reread and make sure I didn't miss anything important.
With romance serving as the perfect complement, No. 6 is a series that takes a bit of time to get off the ground, but once it does it becomes irresistible, hard to put down. The ending is beautiful, and leaves you wanting to read the original novels. I plan to do it as soon as I can!
