Musical Friday / Viernes Musicales: Full Circle (Drowning Pool)

Hello guys, how have things going on?
Those of you who want to know about Venezuela's current situation, wait a little bit more. I promise I will touch the subject soon, but I'm feeling so many things right now (not peaceful, in case you ask) that I prefer to express by music, that's why today's entry looks somber.

A couple of weeks ago, searching for new music to work with I saw this album, Full Circle, by Drowning Pool. There was something about the cover that called me, and I decided to give it a chance. One of the best things I've done so far!
The voice of Ryan McCombs is just amazing, wild and dark with a touch of old-school rock. However, the lyrics are even better! Almost all of them speak about justice, karma and revenge, that sense of superiority you have when you realize that you're better than that.
My new addictions are the three frist tracks: "Full Circle," "Enemy," "Enemy" and the fifth song, "Reason I'm Alive." I feel empowered and capable of it all when I hear them, but they also make it a shame that there are only three discs with McCombs. I'm still not sure if I'll listen to the rest of his work, but while I decide, let us enjoy. Shall we?

Hola chicos, ¿cómo van las cosas?
Aquellos que quieran conocer la situación actual de Venezuela, esperen un poco más. Prometo que tocaré el tema pronto, pero estoy sintiendo tantas cosas en este momento (no pacíficas, en caso de que pregunten) que prefiero expresarme a través de la música, por eso es que la entrada de hoy parece sombría.

Hace un par de semanas, buscando música nueva para trabajar, vi este álbum, Full Circle, de Drowning Pool. Había algo en la portada que me llamó, y decidí darle una oportunidad. ¡Una de las mejores cosas que he hecho hasta ahora!
La voz de Ryan McCombs es simplemente increíble, salvaje y oscura con un toque de rock de la vieja escuela. Sin embargo, ¡las letras son aún mejores! Casi todas ellas tienen hablan de justicia, karma y venganza, ese sentido de superioridad que tienes cuando te das cuenta de que eres mejor que eso.
Mis nuevas adicciones son las tres primeras canciones: "Full Circle", "Enemy", "Enemy" y la quinta canción, "Reason I'm Alive". Me siento empoderado y capaz de todo cuando las escucho, pero también hacen penoso que haya sólo tres discos con McCombs. Todavía no estoy seguro de si escucharé el resto de su trabajo, pero mientras decido, disfrutemos. ¿Les parece?
