Espero que estén bien y que tengan ganas de escuchar buena música, porque hoy vengo con un sencillo de la mano de Daniel Graves con su proyecto Aesthetic Perfection: SEX, el primero de 12 sencillos, uno para cada mes. Pronto también les voy a comentar mi opinión sobre Into the Black, su álbum más reciente; si no lo han escuchad, ¿qué están esperando?

Primero que nada, esto es lo que Daniel Graves, cabeza detrás de Aesthetic Perfection, tiene que decir al respecto:

Con guitarras de Sebastian Svalland (PAIN, In Mourning y anteriormente LINDEMANN), esta nueva canción continúa en la tradición del metal industrial de pistas como Rhythm + Control mientras expande mis horizontes vocales y de producción cada vez más amplios.

Esta es la primera entrega de mi proyecto de 12 sencillos en 12 meses que está siendo totalmente financiado por mis seguidores de Patreon. Cada sencillo se desbloquea cada vez que nuestra comunidad gana 10 nuevos miembros y, con suerte, resultará en un álbum de larga duración al final del año. La pista es bastante pegajosa, especialmente por la letra sencilla y directa, un sello que caracteriza a Graves, con un ritmo movido y altamente electrónico. Si bien es lo que se puede esperar de Aesthetic Perfection, SEX deja entrever un nuevo estilo vocal, mucho más gutural y fuerte, que contrasta con los ritmos de pop electrónico.

Hay una buena dosis de música industrial también, pero es ante todo una canción para bailar, posiblemente (y preferiblemente) en posición horizontal. El estilo es muy similar a Rhythm + Control, pero yo diría que tiene su propia gloria, sin mencionar la remix incluída que es más experimental e independiente. El resultado es un sencillo muy balanceado.

Es ridículamente temprano para pensar sobre el estilo que tendrá este nuevo álbum, pero Aesthetic Perfection empezó este año de la manera correcta. SEX es un tema fácil de amar y apreciar, sin mencionar que el proyecto en sí es ingenioso y llamativo. Ya quiero escuchar los otros 11 temas, porque no me cabe duda de que Daniel Graves lo va a lograr. ¡Sería una locura pensar lo contrario!

First of all, this is what Aesthetic Perfection head, Daniel Graves, has to say about it:

Featuring guitars by Sebastian Svalland (PAIN, In Mourning & formerly LINDEMANN) this new song continues in the industrial metal tradition of tracks like Rhythm + Control while expanding on my ever broadening vocal and production horizons.

This is the first installment of my 12 singles in 12 months project that is being fully funded by my Patreon supporters. The track is quite catchy, especially for the simple and direct lyrics, a hallmark that characterizes Graves, with a moving and highly electronic rhythm. While it's what you can expect from Aesthetic Perfection, SEX hints at a new vocal style, much more throaty and strong, that contrasts with the electronic pop rhythms.

There's a good dose of industrial music too, but it's primarily a song to dance to, possibly (and preferably) horizontally. The style is very similar to Rhythm + Control, but I'd say it has its own glory, not to mention the included remix which is more experimental and independent. The result is a very balanced single.

It's ridiculously early to think about the style of this new album, but Aesthetic Perfection started this year in the right way. SEX is a rack easy to love and appreciate, not to mention that the project itself is witty and eye-catching. I already want to hear the other 11 songs, because I have no doubt that Daniel Graves is going to do it. It would be crazy to think otherwise!
