Manga: Snow Fairy

Hace algunos días estuve leyendo algunos mangas que me enviaron, y hubo uno que me llamó la atención, principalmente por el arte. Resultó ser una historia sencilla que atrapa por lo sana, feliz, e inocente que es: Snow Fairy, por Tomo Serizawa. ¡Gracias a la editorial por enviarme una copia a cambio de una reseña honesta!

Cuando el famoso fotógrafo de vida silvestre Narumi llega a Hokkaido para tomar fotos de las escurridizas "hadas de la nieve", termina varado en una tormenta de nieve. Después de ser rescatado, se instala en la casa del granjero local Haruki durante el invierno. Como polos opuestos, la sofisticada y extrovertida ciudadana Narumi y el chico de campo Haruki tienen mucho que aprender el uno del otro.
Después de que Haruki muestra interés, Narumi le enseña sobre fotografía... y antes de que se dé cuenta, se convierte en el único sujeto del nuevo pasatiempo de Haruki. Después de un invierno pasado tan juntos, ¿qué traerá el deshielo primaveral?

Aquí no hay dramas eterno ni grandes conflictos, sino que refleja la belleza de las vidas más simples, el encanto de lo cotidiano, y el entorno familiar. Aunque es cierto que podría no sonar atractivo a primera vista, la forma en que todo se desarrolla, los diálogos, la interacción con otros personajes, y los protagonistas hacen que el tiempo se pase volando.

El arte se combina muy bien con todo esto porque refleja los sentimientos de miedo, inseguridad, soledad, pero también de ilusión y esperanza. La historia se vuelve completa en muchos sentidos, apoyándose a veces en el guión, a veces en el arte, que nunca decepciona, debo decir. Es de esas historias que se leen sin esfuerzo alguno.

Lo que sí podría criticar es el inicio. Me pareció bruco, poco realista, la manera en que reaccionó Haruki ante Narumi. La cosas mejoraron con el tiempo, pero siento que la historia podría haber sido muy diferente de haber tenido un comienzo más realista, más sensato, porque me cuesta creer que alguien haría lo que él por Narumi.

Fuera de ese detalle, no puedo quejarme. Snow Fairy es una historia dulce, perfecta para hacerte soñar, y con la inocencia de un amor de bachillerato. Haruki y Narumi son personajes que al principio no parecen estar bien construidos, pero sorprenden más de una vez. Además, estoy feliz de que no sea una saga o una serie, porque funciona muy bien como tomo único.

A few days ago I was reading some mangas that was sent to me, and there was one that caught my attention, mainly because of the art. It turned out to be a simple story that captivates for how wholesome, happy, and innocent it is: Snow Fairy, by Tomo Serizawa. Thanks to the publisher for sending me a copy in exchange for an honest review!

When famous wildlife photographer Narumi comes to Hokkaido to take photos of the elusive "snow fairies," he ends up stranded in a snow storm. After being rescued, he takes up residence in local farmer Haruki's house for the winter. As polar opposites, sophisticated and outgoing city slicker Narumi and country boy Haruki have a lot to learn from one another.
After Haruki shows an interest, Narumi teaches him about photography... and before he realizes it, he finds himself the sole subject of Haruki's new hobby. After a winter spent so close together, what will the spring thaw bring?

Here there are no eternal dramas or great conflicts, but it reflects the beauty of the simplest lives, the charm of the everyday, and the family environment. Although it's true that it might not sound attractive at first glance, the way everything unfolds, the dialogues, the interaction with other characters, and the protagonists make time fly by.

Art combines very well with all this because it reflects feelings of fear, insecurity, loneliness, but also illusion and hope. The story becomes complete in many ways, leaning sometimes on the script, sometimes on the art, which never disappoints I must say. It is one of those stories that is read without any effort.

What I could criticize is the start. I found it harsh, unrealistic, the way Haruki reacted to Narumi. Things got better with time, but I feel like the story could have been very different if it had a more realistic, sensible beginning, because I find it hard to believe that someone would do what he did for Narumi.

Other than that detail, I can't complain. Snow Fairy is a sweet story, perfect to make you dream, and with the innocence of a high school love. Haruki and Narumi are characters that at first don't seem to be well built, but surprise more than once. Also, I'm glad it's not a saga or a series, because it works very well as a standalone.

Cómic: Wynd - The Throne in the Sky #5

Hoy vengo con el último número de esta saga que me enamoró. Desde el primer volumen he querido saber qué va a pasar con Wynd y su grupo, y aunque este no es el capítulo final, sí se acerca bastante: Wynd: The Throne in the Sky #5, por James Tynion IV y Michael Dialynas. ¡Gracias a la editorial por enviarme un ejemplar a cambio de una reseña honesta!

¡La batalla final está aquí cuando el ejército de hadas se acerca!
Aparentemente, los chicos no tienen a dónde escapar, con Wynd en una situación desesperada mientras se encarga de luchar contra el General de las Hadas. ¿Qué se necesita para salvar a los chicos y, lo que es más importante, qué papel juega la sangre de Wynd en todo esto?

No estoy seguro de que pueda decir nada nuevo a este punto. Cualquiera que me lea sabe que me encanta el guión, que amo el arte, que el diseño de los personajes es precioso, y disfruto siempre de principio a fin. Esas han sido mis impresiones desde el inicio, y aunque hay veces en que es más o menos que antes, ha sido una experiencia muy entretenida.

¿Qué hace de este número único? Que la trama no está idealizada, sino que es más realista. Hubiese sido muy fácil darlo todo por terminado y dejar a los personajes con un felices por siempre, pero no fue el que caso. El equipo se mantuvo firme en no crear un final apresurado, azucarado, y de mal gusto, algo que para mí está excelente.

Sí es cierto que me entretuvo y tuvo algunas sorpresas, pero esperaba algo más impactante, más fuerte, al final. No muerte, pero sí algo más impactante. Aunque no estoy decepcionado, sí me dejó inconforme a comparación de los demás, sin mencionar que no es del todo memorable. Esperaba más, para ser honesto.

Empecé este último número con miedo porque no quería esperarme nada, y por un buen tiempo fue así: no sabía que iba a pasar, hasta que las cosas dieron un giro inesperado y me dejaron sin palabras. Llegar al final siempre es agridulce, pero la promesa de más es lo que me importa. Leer esta saga ha sido una aventura, y algo me dice que el siguiente volumen será el final, pero sé que lo esperaré con ansias.

Today I come with the last issue of this saga that I fell in love with. Since the first volume I have wanted to know what will happen to Wynd and his group, and although this is not the final chapter, it's close enough: Wynd: The Throne in the Sky #5, by James Tynion IV and Michael Dialynas. Thanks to the publisher for sending me a copy in exchange for an honest review!

The final battle is here as the Faerie army closes in!
The kids seemingly have nowhere to escape, with Wynd in dire straits as he takes it upon himself to battle the Faerie General. What will it take to save the children, and more importantly, what role does Wynd's blood play in all of this?

I'm not sure I can say anything new at this point. Anyone who reads me knows that I love the script, that I love the art, that the character design is beautiful, and that I always enjoy it from start to finish. Those have been my impressions from the beginning, and although there are times when it's more or less than before, it has been a very entertaining experience.

What makes this issue unique? That the plot is not idealized, but is more realistic. It would have been very easy to call it quits and leave the characters happily ever after, but that wasn't the case. The team was adamant not to create a rushed, sugary, and tacky ending, which is excellent for me.

It's true that it entertained me and had some surprises, but I expected something more impressive, stronger, at the end. Not death, but something more shocking. Although I'm not disappointed, it did leave me unsatisfied compared to the others, not to mention it's not entirely memorable. I expected more, to be honest.

I started this last issue with fear because I didn't want to wait for anything, and for a long time it was like that: I didn't know what was going to happen, until things took an unexpected turn and left me speechless. Getting to the end is always bittersweet, but the promise of more is what matters to me. Reading this saga has been an adventure, and something tells me the next volume will be the last, but I know I'll be looking forward to it.

Cómic: Wynd - The Throne in the Sky #4

Luego de leer el anterior, tuve que leer el siguiente, y el que le seguía. Me acosté tarde pero no me arrepiento de nada. Hoy les quiero contar sobre Wynd: The Throne in the Sky #4, por James Tynion IV y Michael Dialynas. ¡Gracias a la editorial por enviarme un ejemplar a cambio de una reseña honesta!

Windshorn Peak es el único refugio de las Hadas, pero incluso con aliados para guiarlas, su falta de hospitalidad resulta ser una amenaza mortal para los niños. Pero no más peligrosos que los vampiros y el hada general Eks marchando a la guerra, a medida que se acerca la batalla final en la montaña...

Por alguna razón, este número no me convenció tanto como el anterior. Había algo que me hizo sentir que la lectura era más lenta que antes, aunque seguía disfrutando de la historia. El mundo ya es atrapante a este punto, pero el efecto se acentíua aún más cuando lees sobre el mito originario desde otro punto de vista.

El tema del guión mejora luego de algunas páginas, y tengo que decir que el cambio en el estilo artístico para ese segmento me encantó. Es un contraste muy llamativo que te mantiene atento de inicio a fin, sin descuidar la calidad o el estilo. Aunque es diferente, aún hay cierto parecido con la estética que este equipo ha usado a lo largo de los cómics.

Diría que el ritmo errático fue lo que más me molestó en esta ocasión. Había algo en el desarrollo de la trama que no me dejó sumergirme de lleno como me ha pasado con toda la saga. No es un número pesado, la historia es interesante, el arte sigue siendo precioso, pero hay algo que no funcionó para mí. Es frustrante no saber explicarlo.

Sin embargo, Wynd: The Throne in the Sky #4 sigue siendo una historia que me encanta. Sienta las bases para un final que se adivinaba inesperado (jeje, luego les cuento más), pero que brilla por cuenta propia. Como capítulo en toda la saga, ofrece más información, una mirada más completa a la mitología del mundo en el que se desarrolla todo y, como ya es usual, te deja con ganas de más.

After reading the previous one, I had to read the next one, and the one that followed it. I went to bed late but I don't regret anything. Today I want to tell you about Wynd: The Throne in the Sky #4, by James Tynion IV and Michael Dialynas. Thanks to the publisher for sending me a copy in exchange for an honest review!

Windshorn Peak is the only refuge from the Faeries, but even with allies to guide them, its inhospitality proves a deadly threat to the kids. But not more dangerous than Vampyres and the Faerie General Eks marching to war, as the final battle on the mountain draws near...

For some reason, this issue didn't convince me as much as the previous one. There was something that made me feel that the reading was slower than before, although I still enjoyed the story. The world is already captivating at this point, but the effect is further accentuated when you read about the original myth from another point of view.

The thing with the script improves after a few pages, and I have to say that I loved the change in art style for that segment. It's a very striking contrast that keeps you attentive from start to finish, without neglecting quality or style. Although it's different, there's still some resemblance to the aesthetic that this team has used throughout the comics.

I would say the erratic pacing was what bothered me the most this time around. There was something in the development of the plot that didn't let me fully immerse myself as it has happened with the entire saga. It's not a heavy issue, the story is interesting, the art is still beautiful, but there's something that didn't work for me. It's frustrating not knowing how to explain it.

However, Wynd: The Throne in the Sky #4 is still a story that I love. It lays the foundations for an ending that was guessed unexpected (hehe, I'll tell you more later), but that shines on its own. As a chapter in the entire saga, it offers more information, a more complete look at the mythology of the world in which it all takes place and, as usual, leaves you wanting more.

Cómic: Wynd - The Throne in the Sky #3

Anoche me quedé despierto hasta tarde leyendo, enamorado de los personajes, la trama, los diálogos, el arte, y todo el contenido en general. Wynd: The Throne in the Sky #3, por James Tynion IV y Michael Dialynas, fue una belleza de lectura. ¡Gracias a la editorial por enviarme un ejemplar a cambio de una reseña honesta!

Un momento de descanso fue un momento mal gastado, ya que el general Eks llega con toda su fuerza, con intenciones asesinas. Incluso cuando los niños y los padres se liberan y huyen, las cosas parecen terribles, antes de que una figura inesperada traiga ayuda...

Este fue un número super entretenido. No hay mucha acción, sino que es más bien un capítulo más basado en los diálogos y la interacción de los personajes. Varios de los subgrupos finalmente empiezan a encontrarse unos con otros, dejando entrever lo que se avecina en los números siguientes. Les doy un pequeño spoiler: les va a gustar.

El guión en sí es bastante ligero, pero no por ello deficiente o aburrido. Hay significados dobles en los diálogos y las reacciones de los personajes que uno creería no serían propios de una historia con tintes infantiles, pero una escena en particular tiene tanto peso que la he leído varias veces. Me tiene encantado.

Soy un fanático total del arte, del diseño de los personajes, los colores, los tonos, las sombras, y toda la estética de esta saga. Me encanta de principio a fin. Lo único que me dejó un poco decepcionado fue el final tan simple, una salida conveniente para lo que podría haber sido una escena excelente. Esperaba algo mejor que una apuesta segura.

Sin embargo, Wynd: The Throne in the Sky #3 se lee en parpadeo y se disfruta por mucho más tiempo. Es un número bien hecho que te deja con ganas de más y de partirle la cabeza a Yorik de una buena vez. No te deja indiferente, sino todo lo contrario: puedes reconocer una parte de ti mismo en las reacciones de los personajes, en sus miedos, sus inseguridades, su dolor. Lo amé.

Last night I stayed up late reading, in love with the characters, the plot, the dialogues, the art, and all the content in general. Wynd: The Throne in the Sky #3, by James Tynion IV and Michael Dialynas, was a beautiful reading. Thanks to the publisher for sending me a copy in exchange for an honest review!

A moment of rest was a moment ill spent, as General Eks arrives in full force, with murderous intent. Even as the children and the fathers break free and flee, things seem dire, before an unexpected figure brings help...

This was a super entertaining issue. There isn't much action, but it's more of a chapter based on the dialogues and the interaction of the characters. Several of the subgroups finally begin to find each other, giving a glimpse of what's coming in the following issues. I give you a little spoiler: you're going to like it.

The script itself is fairly light, but by no means lacking or boring. There are double meanings in the dialogue and the reactions of the characters that one would think would not be typical of a story with childish overtones, but one scene in particular has so much weight that I have read it several times. It delights me.

I am a total fan of the art, the design of the characters, the colors, the tones, the shadows, and all the aesthetics of this saga. I love it from start to finish. The only thing that left me a bit disappointed was the very simple ending, a convenient departure from what could have been an excellent scene. I was hoping for better than a sure bet.

However, you Wynd: The Throne in the Sky #3 read in blink of an eye and enjoy it for much longer. It is a well-done number that leaves you wanting more and to break Yorik's head for once. It does not leave you indifferent, quite the opposite: you can recognize a part of yourself in the reactions of the characters, in their fears, their insecurities, their pain. I loved it.

Manga: The Summer Of You

Es increíble que no les dijera de este libro antes. Es de mis favoritos de este año, una historia tan tierna y humana que es imposible no disfrutar con ella. Lo encontré de casualidad, no sabía nada de nada al respecto, pero tan pronto como leí el primero tuve que comprar el segundo tomo: The Summer Of You, por Nagisa Furuya.

Un verano nostálgico florece entre dos chicos de secundaria que se encuentran a sí mismos a través de un amor compartido por las películas en esta conmovedora y dramática serie de romance BL de dos volúmenes, perfecta para los fanáticos de Seven Days, Given o I Hear the Sunspot.
Chiharu Saeki y Wataru Toda son dos estudiantes de secundaria que comparten un pasatiempo común: les encanta ver películas. Después de conocerse, se hacen amigos rápidamente, hasta un día, cuando Chiharu confiesa su amor por Wataru. Wataru dice que la confesión de Chiharu no le molesta, y los chicos continúan durante todo el verano, yendo a peregrinaciones para ver los anuncios de sus películas favoritas. Pero cuanto más tiempo pasa con Chiharu, Wataru se da cuenta de que la confesión de Chiharu no solo le afecta tanto como dice, sino que esos sentimientos también pueden ser mutuos...

La idea de los mejores amigos que pasan a ser algo más ha sido usada tantas veces que uno podría cansarse. Sin embargo, Nagisa Furuya la trabajó muy bien para esta historia, ofreciendo una trama mucho más tranquila, con un drama que se desarrolla en silencio, casi sin darte cuenta, hasta que todo explota y tienes el pulso enloquecido.

Chiharu y Wataru son personajes muy humanos, realistas, como cualquier otro par de amigos que podrías haber conocido en el bachillerato o ver en los recesos. Sí tienen cierta parecido al inicio, pero sus rasgos particulares se vuelven más notorios a medida que la lectura avanza, cada uno adquiriendo una personalidad definida.

El arte ha sido muy bien recibido, y con justa razón. Los planos, los ángulos, el trazo tan suave, el lenguaje corporal de los personajes (primarios y secundarios por igual) sirven como complementos de los diálogos. La lectura se vuelve tan immersiva que no la puedes dejar. Es físicamente imposible dejar de leer.

The Summer Of You es una lectura que te pone de buen humor en poco tiempo. Es fácil disfrutar con las ocurrencias de Chiharu y Wataru, no solo porque su historia es preciosa, sino porque es realista sin dejar de lado el aspecto soñador, casi idílico, de su romance. Es un manga cuidado en todos los sentidos.

It's incredible that I didn't tell you about this book sooner. It's one of my favorites this year, a story so tender and human that it's impossible not to enjoy it. I found it by accident, I didn't know anything about it, but as soon as I read the first one I had to buy the second volume: The Summer Of You, by Nagisa Furuya.

A wistful summer blossoms between two high-school boys finding themselves and each other through a shared love of movies in this moving, dramatic, two-volume BL romance series, perfect for fans of Seven Days, Given, or I Hear the Sunspot.
Chiharu Saeki and Wataru Toda are two high school students who share a common hobby: They love to watch movies. After they meet, they become fast friends, until one day, when Chiharu confesses his love for Wataru. Wataru says that Chiharu's confession doesn't bother him, and the boys continue throughout their summer, going to pilgrimages to see film spots from their favorite movies. But the more time he spends with Chiharu, Wataru realizes that he may not only be as unaffected by Chiharu's confession as he claimed to be, but those feelings may also be mutual...

The idea of best friends turning into something more has been used so many times that one could tire of it. However, Nagisa Furuya worked it very well for this story, offering a much calmer plot, with a drama that unfolds in silence, almost without you realizing it, until everything explodes and your pulse goes wild.

Chiharu and Wataru are very human, down-to-earth characters, just like any other pair of friends you might have met in high school or see at recess. They do have a certain resemblance at the beginning, but their particular features become more noticeable as the reading progresses, each one acquiring a defined personality.

The art has been very well received, and with good reason. The planes, the angles, the smooth lines, the body language of the characters (primary and secondary alike) serve as complements to the dialogues. The reading becomes so immersive you can't put it down. It's physically impossible to stop reading.

The Summer Of You is a reading that will put you in a good mood in no time. It's easy to enjoy Chiharu and Wataru's quips, not just because their story is beautiful, but because it's realistic without losing sight of the dreamy, almost idyllic aspect of their romance. It's a manga taken care of in every way.

2022: Mis Lecturas Favoritas hasta Ahora / My Favorite Readings so Far

Parece mentira que este año ya está por terminar. Aunque han habido cambios tan bruscos como para marear a cualquiera, también hubo lecturas que me enamoraron. Como siempre, no puedo poner preferencias por los géneros y temas que tocan, así que aquí se las dejo por orden alfabético. Las sinopsis están en inglés y español, y si quieren leer la reseña solo den clic en el título.

It seems incredible that this year is about to end. Although there have been changes so abrupt as to make anyone dizzy, there were also readings that made me fall in love. As always, I can't put preferences for the genres and topics they play, so I'll leave them here in alphabetical order. The trade was driven by a handful of individuals who were booksellers and dealers, circulating library proprietors, stationers, and small publishers – what they produced were more than four hundred chapbooks, bluebooks and shilling shockers containing Gothic tales from magazines, redactions of popular novels, extractions of entire inset tales, and original tales of terror. This book responds to the urgent and pressing need to contextualise the Gothic chapbook in ascertaining a more concise and comprehensive view of the entire Gothic genre.

Cómic: Wynd - The Throne in the Sky #2

He estado alejado de todo y de todos por un buen tiempo para tomarme un descanso, sentirme una persona normal de nuevo, y enfocarme en leer, leer, leer, y leer más. Hoy quiero contarles sobre un cómic que leí hace un par de noches y me dejó intrigado: Wynd: The Throne in the Sky #2, por James Tynion IV y Michael Dialynas. ¡Gracias a la editorial por enviarme un ejemplar a cambio de una reseña honesta!

Wynd y Merien se plantean emprender un arriesgado viaje a las inquietantes montañas, donde el frío mortal podría ser la menor de sus preocupaciones. El peligro y la traición (y tal vez incluso un poco de romance) confrontan a nuestros héroes en todo momento, mientras que en otros lugares, el Duque hace sus propios planes...

A comparación con el número anterior, este es bastante calmado, más enfocado en crear tensión, mostrar la encrucijada en la que se encuentran los personajes, y los planes que se van trazando. El guión me mantuvo en vilo todo el tiempo, con suficientes cambios de perspectiva para darte una idea general de lo que está pasando.

Es lo que lo que más me gustó. No es solo un cómic de romance y fantasía, sino que hay implicaciones sociales, las acciones de los personajes tienen consecuencias reales en el mundo que habitan, y no se suaviza en ningún momento. Todo es realista, complejo, creando un ambiente tenso que te atrapa. Obviamente no puedo dejar de lado el arte con sus colores tan perfectos, pero es algo que he repetido lo suficiente en esta serie como para que sepan que lo amo con locura.

Sí podría decir que esto me dejó un poco saturado porque llegaban momentos en que era mucho. Diferentes situaciones, diferentes consecuencias, planes, diálogos, historias secundarias... Roza lo abrumador, pero sigue siendo manejable. También hubiera preferido un poco más de acción, en lo personal. Sé que es la calma que precede a la tormenta, pero hubo momentos más lentos que otros.

Yo diría que es una serie que va pintando muy bien, que tiene demasiado potencial, y con una dirección clara. Buen guión, arte precioso, y una trama que te atrapa, Wynd: The Throne in the Sky #2 es un número que se disfruta sin dificultades.

Today I want to tell you about a comic that I read a couple of nights ago and left me intrigued: Wynd: The Throne in the Sky #2, by James Tynion IV and Michael Dialynas. Thanks to the publisher for sending me a copy in exchange for an honest review!

Wynd and Merien consider a risky journey into the foreboding mountains, where the deadly cold might be the least of their worries. Danger and betrayal (and maybe even a little romance) confront our heroes at every turn, while elsewhere, the Duke makes plans of his own...

Compared to the previous issue, this one is quite calm, more focused on creating tension, showing the crossroads in which the characters find themselves, and the plans that are being drawn up. The script kept me on my toes the whole time, with enough perspective shifts to give you a general idea of ​​what's going on.

It's what I liked the most. It's not just a romance-fantasy comic, but there are social implications, the actions of the characters have real consequences on the world they inhabit, and it doesn't soften at any point. Everything is realistic, complex, creating a tense atmosphere that catches you. Obviously I can't leave out the art with its perfect colors, but it's something I've repeated enough in this series to let you know I love it madly.

I do could say that this left me a bit saturated because there were times when it was a lot. Different situations, different consequences, plans, dialogues, side stories... It borders on overwhelming, but it's still manageable. I also would have preferred a little more action, personally. I know it's the calm before the storm, but there were moments that were slower than others.

I would say that it's a series that's looking very good, that it has too much potential, and with a clear direction. Good script, gorgeous art, and a gripping plot, Wynd: The Throne in the Sky #2 is an issue that's easy to enjoy.

"Todo va a estar bien" / "Everything will be okay"

Hace alguno días ayudé como traductor en una fundación para refugiados. Nunca hice algo similar, pero pensé que sería una buena oportunidad para para darle la mano a alguien, pero no pensé que me afectaría. La señora que atendieron ese día tiene una hija, comen de la basura, y sufrió de violencia doméstica. Ella y yo hablamos por unos minutos, y estuve cerca de decirle "todo va a estar bien", pero no pude.

¿Cómo le dices algo así a alguien en situaciones extremas? ¿Cómo le dices que respire hondo cuando te dice que intentó quitarse la vida? Las palabras se las lleva el viento, las palabras recicladas de positividad tóxica no ayudan, sino todo lo contrario. Es fácil decir que todo estará bien, ¿pero qué estamos haciendo para que así sea?

Ayer se celebró el Día de Acción de Gracias aquí en Estados Unidos. Durante la cena, mi cuñada dio unas palabras preciosas sobre lo afortunados que somos, y hoy, recordando todo, recordando cómo empezó nuestro proceso en este país, solo puedo agradecer que estamos mejor. Sin embargo, no olvido a esa señora, que los dos somos inmigrantes, y me siento afortunado de haberla ayudado.

Para mí tiene sentido quejarse. El hecho de que haya personas en situaciones peores no significa que mis dificultades y problemas sean menos. Yesterday was Thanksgiving here in the United States. During dinner, my sister-in-law gave some precious words about how lucky we are, and today, remembering everything, remembering how our process began in this country, I can only be thankful that we are better. However, I do not forget that lady, that we are both immigrants, and I feel lucky to have helped her.

It makes sense to me to complain. The fact that there are people in worse situations does not mean that my difficulties and problems are less. They are a lot for me, but I know that I have had it easier than other people, and I know that I have the possibility to help others. We can all help in one way or another, and that's why I have been supporting three foundations.
