Cómic: Wynd - The Throne in the Sky #2

He estado alejado de todo y de todos por un buen tiempo para tomarme un descanso, sentirme una persona normal de nuevo, y enfocarme en leer, leer, leer, y leer más. Hoy quiero contarles sobre un cómic que leí hace un par de noches y me dejó intrigado: Wynd: The Throne in the Sky #2, por James Tynion IV y Michael Dialynas. ¡Gracias a la editorial por enviarme un ejemplar a cambio de una reseña honesta!

Wynd y Merien se plantean emprender un arriesgado viaje a las inquietantes montañas, donde el frío mortal podría ser la menor de sus preocupaciones. El peligro y la traición (y tal vez incluso un poco de romance) confrontan a nuestros héroes en todo momento, mientras que en otros lugares, el Duque hace sus propios planes...

A comparación con el número anterior, este es bastante calmado, más enfocado en crear tensión, mostrar la encrucijada en la que se encuentran los personajes, y los planes que se van trazando. El guión me mantuvo en vilo todo el tiempo, con suficientes cambios de perspectiva para darte una idea general de lo que está pasando.

Es lo que lo que más me gustó. No es solo un cómic de romance y fantasía, sino que hay implicaciones sociales, las acciones de los personajes tienen consecuencias reales en el mundo que habitan, y no se suaviza en ningún momento. Todo es realista, complejo, creando un ambiente tenso que te atrapa. Obviamente no puedo dejar de lado el arte con sus colores tan perfectos, pero es algo que he repetido lo suficiente en esta serie como para que sepan que lo amo con locura.

Sí podría decir que esto me dejó un poco saturado porque llegaban momentos en que era mucho. Diferentes situaciones, diferentes consecuencias, planes, diálogos, historias secundarias... Roza lo abrumador, pero sigue siendo manejable. También hubiera preferido un poco más de acción, en lo personal. Sé que es la calma que precede a la tormenta, pero hubo momentos más lentos que otros.

Yo diría que es una serie que va pintando muy bien, que tiene demasiado potencial, y con una dirección clara. Buen guión, arte precioso, y una trama que te atrapa, Wynd: The Throne in the Sky #2 es un número que se disfruta sin dificultades.

Wynd and Merien consider a risky journey into the foreboding mountains, where the deadly cold might be the least of their worries. Danger and betrayal (and maybe even a little romance) confront our heroes at every turn, while elsewhere, the Duke makes plans of his own...

Compared to the previous issue, this one is quite calm, more focused on creating tension, showing the crossroads in which the characters find themselves, and the plans that are being drawn up. The script kept me on my toes the whole time, with enough perspective shifts to give you a general idea of ​​what's going on.

It's what I liked the most. It's not just a romance-fantasy comic, but there are social implications, the actions of the characters have real consequences on the world they inhabit, and it doesn't soften at any point. Everything is realistic, complex, creating a tense atmosphere that catches you. Obviously I can't leave out the art with its perfect colors, but it's something I've repeated enough in this series to let you know I love it madly.

I do could say that this left me a bit saturated because there were times when it was a lot. Different situations, different consequences, plans, dialogues, side stories... It borders on overwhelming, but it's still manageable. I also would have preferred a little more action, personally. I know it's the calm before the storm, but there were moments that were slower than others.

I would say that it's a series that's looking very good, that it has too much potential, and with a clear direction. Good script, gorgeous art, and a gripping plot, Wynd: The Throne in the Sky #2 is an issue that's easy to enjoy.
