Me hizo recordar por qué amo tanto a esta mujer, por qué la admiro, me recordó el ejemplo que es, lo inspiradora de su historia, y motivó a seguir trabajando por mis sueños. Es una biografía inspiradora fuera de este mundo.

Being one of the figures that seems to be all over the place these days, it's no surprise that there are several books outlining her career. However, this one's special because it's totally up-to-date, delves into the most important details, and examines Gaga's life in its entirety, from her beginnings as a misfit to becoming an unstoppable phenomenon.

I admit that as a good Gaga-obsessed fan, there was little new material for me. However, Annie Zaleski did an impressive job of research, capturing key moments, interviews, statements, and even the most memorable costumes. The Lady Gaga that the book presents us with is a star, but also a woman who has turned her suffering and her traumas into art.

With a clear, simple style, following a chronological order, that shows how much she's in love with the artist, the author does not skimp when it comes to praising her, but also when comparing interviews that contradict each other. Far from painting her as a perfect, unattainable being, she shows us the human and vulnerable side of Gaga. Last but not least, the photography selection is unmissable. All that one could hope for, and more. And a few more. And many more. It's a visual delight. And some more photos.

While it is true that there's no exclusive material, Lady Gaga: Applause is the perfect gift for any Little Monster. It made me remember why I love this woman so much, why I admire her, reminded me what an example she is, how inspiring her story is, and motivated me to continue working for my dreams. It's an inspiring biography out of this world.
