¡Buen día, Nocturnos! Hace algunos días les dije que habría un nuevo poemario este mes, el 31 de Enero específicamente, y hoy quiero compartirles los detalles de lo que será Cucumerario Formido.

¿Por qué ese nombre? Por dos razones: La primera es que es un poemario bilingüe, con todos los poemas tanto en inglés como español, decisión que tomé luego de trabajar en Pieces of the Soul, de Kel Bathory, así que no podría ponerle un nombre en ninguno de los dos idiomas. Cucumerario Formido significa Espantapájaros en latín. Esa es la segunda razón: es mi primer intento de un poemario temático, centrado en la idea del Espantapájaros, mi álter ego de fantasía oscura.

Por muchas razones, comencé a ver aspectos de mí bajo distintos nombres, y el Espantapájaros fue uno de los que me gustó, uno con el que conecté al instante, y que creo ha sido el más prominente hasta el momento.

Me dejé llevar por esta nueva identidad, esconderme detrás de una máscara mientras escribía, y aunque supe siempre que era Alan, una parte de mí era Cucumerario Formido a la vez.¿No tiene mucho sentido? Hay que experimentarlo para entenderlo, creo, porque es algo difícil explicar esa doble personalidad.

¡Estoy ansioso por saber qué piensan de este ser! Fue divertido descubrir cómo se veía y se sentía todo a través de él, y miento si les digo que no lo traeré de vuelta en algún momento o que no daré vida a otro álter ego, pero esto es todo por el momento en cuanto a poemas.

A few days ago I told them that there would be a new book of poems this month, specifically on January 31, and today I want to share with you the details of what Cucumerario Formido will be.

Why that name? For two reasons: The first is that it is a bilingual poetry book, with all the poems in both English and Spanish, a decision I made after working on Pieces of the Soul, by Kel Bathory, so I couldn't put a name on any of the two languages. Cucumerario Formido means Scarecrow in Latin. That's the second reason: it's my first attempt at a thematic poetry, centered on the idea of ​​the Scarecrow, my dark fantasy alter ego.

For many reasons, I began to see aspects of myself under different names, and the Scarecrow was one of the ones I liked, one that I connected to instantly, and which I think has been the most prominent so far.

I let myself be carried away by this new identity, hide behind a mask while writing, and although I always knew I was Alan, a part of me was Cucumerario Formido at the same time. Doesn't have much sense? You have to experience it to understand it, I think, because it is difficult to explain that double personality.
