"Les helará la sangre". Fuente. |

Can you imagine reliving a person's last moments? To experience what it was to be someone else? It sounds very nice, but believe me, it's a nightmare in Bone Parish Vol. 1, written by Cullen Bunn, with art by Jonas Scharf, colors by Alex Giumarães and lettering by Ed Dukeshire.
This first volume consists of the four issues that give rise to this series of psychological horror and criminal wars. Located in the city of New Orleans, United States, Bone Parish presents the Winters family, who have created the drug Ash, which allows to relive key moments of deceased stars.
Although the whole family has impressive potential, Grace Winters, its matriarch and business leader, is the one who takes most of the leading role in this first installment. It is she who shows us the most mature and dark side of drug trafficking, who gives the most surprising, almost sadistic, plot twist, not to mention that she's a psychologically fascinating character.
Cullen Bunn and Jonas Scharf created an addictive story, while Alex Giumarães and Ed Dukeshire gave it a clean, grim and comfortable look to every page. At first it was difficult for me to move forward, the beginning is somewhat confusing, but when you understand what is happening it is impossible to stop reading. Bone Parish is equally compelling and addictive, and far from being the predictable series. I swear the ending was traumatic.
This volume will be released on May 7, but the series is already quite advanced, so you can either read the individual numbers or wait a bit. Anyway, it will freeze your blood, that's for sure.
