Buenos días gente. Espero que hayan tenido una semana maravillosa y que estés de humor para una buena música Kpop. Después de compartir una selección de sus videos este lunes, tuve que repasar Devil, el álbum debút de Oneus, y por supuesto que vengo hoy con mi opinión al respecto. Con un comienzo enérgico gracias a su primer sencillo, No Diggity, justo después del tema de apertura correspondiente, el disco presenta una mezcla entre dulces baladas y canciones pop que dan una imagen diversa pero completa del grupo. Sin embargo, diría que tienen un talento especial con las pistas dance, como dicho single, Bbusyeo, Lion Heart, uno de mis favoritos personales, y What Yo Doing?

Sin embargo, también tienen un buen dominio de las pistas más lentas y románticas, mostrando una vena más sensible en canciones como Youth y Leftover. Tengo que admitir que no soy el mayor fan cuando se trata de esas canciones, pero puedo apreciar el buen trabajo cuando lo veo (em, ¿escucharlo?) También hay pistas más equilibradas como Incomplete, que también tiene un poco de rock, I.P.U., y Rewind, con un tipo de sonido de término medio que es fácil de disfrutar.

Lo que más me impresionó es lo variadas e intensas que son sus coreografías. Oneus lo da todo en cada una de ellas, y al ver algunas de sus presentaciones en vivo es fácil ver cuánto practican antes de cada espectáculo debido al nivel de cuidado y detalle que manejan. Puede que esté un poco sesgado con respecto a esto, pero sus videos también tienden a ser muy oscuros cuando se trata de colores, algo que no he visto en bastante tiempo.

Sería un poco pronto para decir qué esperar de estos muchachos, pero su talento y amor por lo que están haciendo es innegable. Estoy ansioso por ver qué más tienen bajo la manga, qué otras sorpresas vienen después de Devil, pero estoy seguro de que no me decepcionarán. Ya soy fan, y Oneus ciertamente me dio grandes expectativas después de este primer álbum. Mientras espero el próximo lanzamiento, visitaré sus trabajos anteriores, y lo más probable es que me enamore de su música una y otra vez.

With an energetic beginning thanks to their first single, No Diggity, right after the matching opening track, the disc presents a mix between sweet ballads and pop songs that give a diverse yet complete image of the group. However, I would say they have a special talent with dance tracks, such as said single, Bbusyeo, Lion Heart, one of my personal favorites, and What Yo Doing?

However, they also have a good grasp on the slowest, most romantic tracks, showing a more sensible vein in songs like Youth and Leftover. I have to admit I'm not the biggest fan when it comes to those songs, but I can appreciate good work when I see it (er, listen to it?) There are also more balance tracks such as Incomplete, which also has a bit of rock, I.P.U., and Rewind, with a middle term kind of sound that is easy to enjoy.

What impressed me the most is how varied and intense are their choreographies. Oneus give their all in each of them, and watching some of their live performance is easy to see how much they practice before each show due to the level of care and detail they handle. I may be a bit biased regarding this, but their videos also tend to be very dark when it comes to colors, something I haven't seen in quite a time.

It would be a bit early to say what to expect from these guys, but their talent and love for what they are doing is undeniable. I'm eager to see what else they have under their sleeves, what other surprises come after Devil, but I'm sure I won't be disappointed. I'm already a fan, and Oneus certainly gave me high expectations after this first album. While I wait for the next release, I will visit their previous works, and most likely fall in love with their music again, and again.
