Daniel Graves vuelve a sorprender con un tema poderoso y brutalmente honesto, lleno de fuerza y energía, digno sucesor de SEX, su sencillo anterior. Se trata de Party Monster, de Aesthethic Perfection.

Igual que antes, Graves tiene algunas palabras que compartir al respecto de este sencillo:
Me complace anunciar "Party Monster", la segunda entrega del proyecto de 12 sencillos en 12 meses de Aesthetic Perfection. Mi esfuerzo más ambicioso hasta la fecha, "Party Monster" es un himno de rock industrial que detalla honesta y seriamente mis luchas con las drogas y el alcohol. Los tambores mecanizados contra voces torturadas y arremolinadas explotan en un coro grandilocuente, impulsado por guitarras proporcionadas por nada menos que Jinxx de Black Veil Brides y crescendos con un solo abrasador del ex miembro en vivo Elliott Berlin.
Siguiendo la misma vena de SEX, este sencillo va directo al grano en lo que a letra respecta, hablando de manera honesta y sin tapujos sobre lo que es vivir con adicciones de cualquier tipo. Es un tema fuerte, pero pegadizo por lo rítmico de cada línea. Cada una transmite una ira reprimida, casi animal, un alma frustrada cansada de luchar contra sí misma, pero que sigue intentándolo sin importar nada.
La música pesada combina a la perfección por esto. Graves mezcló rock, electróncia, y música industrial de manera impecable para que estuviera al mismo nivel que la letra, aunque sin que una compita contra la otra. Ambos elementos crean una pista muy atractiva que no aburre en ningún momento. Podría decir que incluso es material para un video musical por el significado que tiene.
El coro es sin dudas mi parte favorita de Party Monster. La resignación de Graves es palpable en cada palabra, cada sílaba, y aún así pareciera que solo le dice a su mente lo que quiere escuchar. No puedo dejar atrás tampoco los aportes de Jinxx y Elliott Berlin, que le dieron un aire rebelde al tema entero.
Yo diría que Party Monster es mucho más maduro por los temas que toca, haciéndolo más interesante para el público. Mientras que SEX está más orientado al pop electrónico, este sencillo es música industrial de la fuerte, con un remix que tampoco decepciona. ¡Aesthethic Perfection va en la dirección correcta, definitivamente!

As before, Graves has a few words to share regarding this single:
I am elated to announce “Party Monster”, the second installment of Aesthetic Perfection’s 12 singles in 12 months project. My most ambitious effort to date, “Party Monster” is an industrial rock anthem that honestly and earnestly details my struggles with drugs and alcohol. Mechanized drums set against swirling, tortured vocals explode into a bombastic chorus, driven by guitars provided by none other than Jinxx of Black Veil Brides and crescendos with a blistering solo from former live member Elliott Berlin.
Following the same vein of SEX, this single goes straight to the point when it comes to lyrics, speaking honestly and openly about what it is like to live with addictions of any kind. It's a heavy song, but catchy because of the rhythm of each line. Each one conveys a repressed, almost animalistic anger, a frustrated soul tired of fighting itself, but that keeps trying no matter what.
Heavy music is a perfect match for this. Graves mixed rock, electronica, and industrial music flawlessly so that it was on the same level as the lyrics, although without one competing against the other. Both elements create a very attractive track that's never boring. I could tell it's even material for a music video because of the meaning it carries.
The chorus is hands down my favorite part of Party Monster. Graves' resignation is palpable in every word, every syllable, and yet it seems like he's just telling his mind what it wants to hear. I cannot leave behind the contributions of Jinxx and Elliott Berlin either, which gave the whole track a rebellious air.
I would say that Party Monster is much more mature because of the songs it plays, making it more interesting for the public. While SEX is more geared towards electronic pop, this single is heavyweight industrial music, with a remix that doesn't disappoint either. Aesthethic Perfection is definitely heading in the right direction!
