Manga: The Hunters Guild: Red Hood, Chapter 6

Yo sigo acumulando buenas noticias que quisiera compartir por acá y gritarlas por todos lados, pero por ahora vamos a quedarnos con una reseña del capítulo 6 de The Hunters Guild: Red Hood, de Yuki Kawaguchi. Aunque ya hay un capítulo por el cual hay que pagar para poder leerlo, este sigue estando gratis en la web de VIZ Media.

Beginning of Part 2: The Outside World es un capítulo más bien introductorio que abre la puerta al mundo de Grimm, la cazadora que nos ha puesto a pensar desde su llegada al inicio de The Hunters Guild: Red Hood. Tenemos un primer vistazo a lo que es el gremio de los cazadores, sin muchos detalles pero dejándonos con deseos de saber más al respecto.

El arte sigue siendo precioso, como es de esperarse, un poco desastroso en algunos páneles pero por escenas de acción que también usan la comedia para darle un toque interesante a la atmósfera. Hay algunas respuestas con respecto al pasado de Grimm, y la propia cazadora nos muestra las cosas desde otro punto de vista y cómo algunas escenas realmente parecen encerrar algo sospechoso.

Yuki Kawaguchi supo trabajar con los personajes y mostrar unos nuevos para mantener el interés en la lectura porque, excepto por un enfrentamiento fugaz, realmente no pasa nada resaltante más allá de saber que pronto conoceremos a los demás cazadores y nos adentraremos a su mundo. Yo diría que, por ahora, es el capítulo más débil del manga.

Sin embargo, se nota que algo bueno se viene, aunque tengo miedo de que termine siendo un manga shonen más, con clichés y que solo sea original en cuanto a la construcción del mundo. Por ahora todo marcha bien, The Hunters Guild: Red Hood sigue siendo una historia interesante y que me atrapa, y puedo seguri dándole el beneficio de la duda.

I keep accumulating good news that I would like to share around here and shout it everywhere, but for now, we are going to stay with a review of chapter 6 of The Hunters Guild: Red Hood, by Yuki Kawaguchi. Although there's already a chapter for which you have to pay to read it, this one is still free on the VIZ Media website.

Beginning of Part 2: The Outside World is a rather introductory chapter that opens the door to the world of Grimm, the hunter that has made us wonder since her arrival at the beginning of The Hunters Guild: Red Hood. We have a first look at what the hunters' guild is, without much detail but left wanting to know more about it.

The art is still beautiful, unsurprisingly, a bit disastrous on some panels but for action scenes that also use comedy to give an interesting touch to the atmosphere. There are some answers regarding Grimm's past, and the huntress herself shows us things from another point of view and how some scenes really seem to hold something fishy.

Yuki Kawaguchi knew how to work with the characters and show new ones to maintain interest in reading because, except for a fleeting confrontation, nothing remarkable really happens beyond knowing that we will soon meet the other hunters and enter their world. I would say that, for now, it is the weakest chapter in the manga.

However, it shows that something good is coming, although I'm afraid that it will end up being one more shonen manga, with clichés and that it is only original in terms of world-building. So far all is well, The Hunters Guild: Red Hood continues to be an interesting and engaging story, and I can keep giving it the benefit of the doubt.
