Espero que muy bien, y que estén con ganas de leer porque vengo con un manga que los va a mantener despiertos hasta altas horas de la noche; me pasó, jeje. Son las 10:30 PM del domingo mientras que escribo esto, pero tengo que contartes lo bueno que es Cagaster Vol. 4, por Kachou Hasimoto. ¡Gracias a la editorial por enviarme una copia a cambio de una reseña honesta!

La lucha se intensifica en E-05, y los renegados del ejército lanzan un ultimátum: si la milicia no se rinde antes del atardecer, la ciudad se incendiará con más sangre derramada. Hadi tiene la intención de regresar al portal Oeste para pedir ayuda externa, ¡pero el preboste de los comerciantes quiere su cabeza! En cuanto a Kidow, para salvar a Ilie, está dispuesto a correr cualquier riesgo. Y así se dirige, solo, al corazón de la base enemiga, en medio de las jaulas de E-07...
La historia nos lleva a los personajes cada vez en posiciones más incómodas y difíciles, en donde tanto la astucia como su valentía se pondrán a prueba. Cada uno enfrenta un reto, desde tener que infiltrarse en una jaula de insectos o mantener al ejército lejos del pueblo como el retar a un equipo científico demente. Kachou Hasimoto tiene varias sorpresas bajo la manga, aunque hubo una escena en particular que rompió la atmósfera oscura por la que iba la historia.
Lo que sucede es que muchos personajes muestran que no son tan nobles como queríamos creer y que incluso algunos monstruos pueden ser más benevolentes que los propios humanos. Es un marcado contraste que se traduce en la parte gráfica. Cagaster Vol. 4 no rehúye de la crudeza que necesita en este punto de la historia, volviéndose una lectura cada vez más gráfica aunque sin caer en lo gore.
Tengo que admitir que las historias de guerra nunca me han gustado, y Kachou Hasimoto se enfocó mucho en estos elementos al principio del libro. Me costó mucho avanzar por eso, y me sentí perdido, pero ya es una cuestión personal que se me escapa de las manos. Aquellos que estén más familiarizados con esta atmósfera, estilo, y género, van a sentirse mucho más a gusto, aunque el desarrollo tampoco está nada mal y ayuda a que disfrutes sin problemas.
Yo diría que Cagaster Vol. 4 es más que solo entretenimiento. Te hace plantearte quién es realmente el monstruo, el juez, el verdugo, o el reo. Además de que sienta las bases para un final digno de esta saga tan entretenida, Kachou Hasimoto lo hace de manera muy sencilla pero sin perder el atractivo. Conforme avanzas, las páginas se vuelven una sola y sientes que el tiempo se te pasa volando entre un guión sólido y un arte precioso.

Fighting intensifies at E-05, and army renegades issue an ultimatum: if the militia does not surrender before sunset, the city will be set on fire with more blood spilt. Hadi intends to return to the West portal to ask for outside help, but the provost of the merchants wants his head! As for Kidow, to save Ilie, he is ready to take any risk. And so he heads, alone, to the heart of the enemy base, in the middle of the cages of E-07…
The story takes the characters to increasingly more difficult and uncomfortable positions, where both cunning and bravery will be put to the test. Each faces a challenge, from having to infiltrate an insect cage or keep the army out of town to facing an insane science team. Kachou Hasimoto has several surprises up her sleeve, although there was one scene in particular that broke the dark atmosphere the story was going through.
What happens is that many characters show that they are not as noble as we wanted to believe and that even some monsters can be more benevolent than humans themselves. It's a stark contrast that translates into the graphic part. Cagaster Vol. 4 does not shy away from the rawness that it needs at this point in the story, becoming an increasingly graphic reading without falling into gore.
I have to admit that I have never liked war stories, and Kachou Hasimoto focused a lot on these elements at the beginning of the book. It took me a long time to move forward because of that, and I felt lost, but that's a personal matter that's getting out of hand. Those who are more familiar with this atmosphere, style, and genre, will feel much more comfortable, although the development is not bad at all and it helps you enjoy without problems.
I would say that Cagaster Vol. 4 is more than just entertainment. It makes you wonder who the monster really is, whether the judge, the executioner, or the criminal. In addition to laying the foundations for a worthy ending to this entertaining saga, Kachou Hasimoto does it very simply but without losing appeal. As you go, the pages become one and you feel that time flies between a solid script and beautiful art.
