Cuando Lizel se encuentra misteriosamente en una ciudad que tiene extrañas similitudes con la suya pero claramente no lo es, rápidamente acepta la improbable verdad: este es un mundo completamente diferente. Aun así, el relajado Lizel no es del tipo que entra en pánico. Inmediatamente se propone aprender más sobre este extraño lugar y, para ayudarlo a hacerlo, contrata a un aventurero experimentado llamado Gil como su guía turístico y protector.Hasta que pueda encontrar un camino a casa, Lizel cree que esta es una oportunidad perfecta para explorar una nueva forma de vida aventurándose como parte de un gremio. La sinopsis es suficientemente clara con respecto a lo que podemos esperar de la historia. A Gentle Noble's Vacation Recommendation, Volumen 1 no tiene una trama compleja, aunque sí le hace honor a las tradicionales historias de fantasía en donde un cualquiera decide que es hora de conocer el mundo, solo que este es uno distinto al suyo y no pretende salvarlo ni volverse famoso.
Lizel es un personaje bastante carismático, muy fácil de agradar, y aunque Gil se hace el rudo es fácil interesarse en él como personaje. Aunque Misaki nos presenta a ambos de manera muy superficial, es sencillo simpatizar con ellos, y parece adivinarse una interesante historia de fondo para cada uno por sus carácteres tan particulares, Lizel con su calma perpétua al estilo zen, y Gil tan volátil como un fósforo en una gasolinera.
Algo que me sorprendió al final fue leer que este manga se basa en una serie de novelas ligeras y que la adapración ha estado a cargo de Momochi y Sando, dándole un arte precioso que deja a cualquiera complacido. Evidentemente, habrán muchas cosas que quedarán por fuera, pero al menos por esta ocasión no sentí que hubiese algo indispensable o que la trama perdiera sentido en ningún momento.
Si me preguntan, A Gentle Noble's Vacation Recommendation, Volumen 1 es una historia muy bonita, original, y que alegra a cualquiera lector. Misaki, Momochi, y Sando le han puesto mucho cariño, puede que no muchas sorpresas, pero sí una amistad con potencial para un desarrollo interesante. Finalmente, una aclaratoria: contrario a lo que puede parecer, la historia no es yaoi, cosa que me confirmó la editorial.

Even so, laid-back Lizel isn't the type to panic. He immediately sets out to learn more about this strange place, and to help him do so, hires a seasoned adventurer named Gil as his tour guide and protector.Until he's able to find a way home, Lizel figures this is a perfect opportunity to explore a new way of life adventuring as part of a guild. After all, he's sure he'll go home eventually... might as well enjoy the otherworldly vacation for now!
The synopsis is clear enough about what we can expect from the story. A Gentle Noble's Vacation Recommendation, Volumen 1 does not have a complex plot, although it does honor the traditional fantasy stories where a Mr. Nobody decides that it is time to see the world, only this is a different one from his and does not intend to save it nor become famous.
Lizel is quite a charismatic character, very easy to like, and even though Gil plays tough, it's easy to get interested in him as a character. Although Misaki introduces us to both in a very superficial way, it is easy to sympathize with them, and an interesting backstory seems to be waiting for each one for their very particular characters, Lizel with his perpetual calm in the Zen style, and Gil as volatile as a match at a gas station.
Something that surprised me at the end was reading that this manga is based on a series of light novels and that the adaptation has been done by Momochi and Sando, giving it a beautiful art that leaves anyone pleased. Obviously, there will be many things that will be left out, but at least this time I did not feel that there was something indispensable or that the plot lost its meaning at any time.
If you ask me, A Gentle Noble's Vacation Recommendation, Volumen 1 is a very beautiful, original story that makes any reader happy. Misaki, Momochi, and Sando have given it a lot of affection, maybe not many surprises, but a friendship with potential for an interesting development. Finally, a clarification: contrary to what it may seem, the story is not yaoi, which the publisher confirmed to me.
