Hay una serie que me dejó con la boca abierta. La empecé a leer hace poco, pero no estaba preparado para lo que se venía tomo tras tomo. Además, ya saben que los romances del bachillerato son mi debilidad. Resulta ser que me volví fanático de My Love Mix-Up! de Wataru Hinekure y Aruko.

- Sinopsis del primer volumen:
Aoki está enamorado de Hashimoto, la chica que está sentada a su lado en clase. Pero se desespera cuando le pide prestado el borrador y ve que tiene escrito el nombre de otro chico, Ida, en él. Para hacer las cosas más confusas, Ida ve a Aoki sosteniendo ese mismo borrador y piensa que Aoki está enamorado de él.

Tuve mis dudas al respecto de esta serie. La premisa no me parecía del todo interesante, pero decidí darle una oportunidad. No me di cuenta de que había devorado el primer volumen hasta que llegué a la última página. Nueva adicción desbloqueada. Estuve metido en esta serie por un buen tiempo porque no pude parar desde el primer momento, y esperé con ansias el último para saber qué pasaba finalmente. ¡No decepciona en ningún momento!
Es una historia muy bien trabajado y que juega con el lector varias veces, pero mostrando la realidad de una manera más ligera, la confusión, el descubrimiento de la identidad, y el miedo a lo que suceda en el futuro. Más que un romance, es una historia que muestra a los personajes creciendo, madurando, sin perder esa inocencia juvenil.
Está de más que diga que el arte me encantó. Las expresiones y gestos de los personajes se vuelven el centro puesto que los fondos son bastante sencillos, si es que hay fondos, dicha sea la verdad. Es uno de esos casos en los que el guión y el arte se complementan perfectamente, dando una armonía que pocas veces he visto. Mis respetos por ello.
Debería ser un crimen que el trabajo de tres años se pueda leer en un mes, porque literalmente me tomó uno o dos días leer cada tomo (hasta que tocó esperar el último). Sin embargo, Aoki, Ida, Hashimoto, y Aida se quedan contigo por un buen rato luego de terminar. Se me hace difícil pensar en una serie que supere a esta. Es un drama juvenil difícil de superar (Sí, es contigo, Ao No Flag; ese último volumen arruinó TODA la serie para mí; entre otras cosas).

There's a series that left me speechless. I started reading it recently, but I wasn't prepared for what was coming volume after volume. Plus, you already know that high school romances are my weakness. Turns out, I became a fan of My Love Mix-Up! by Wataru Hinekure and Aruko.
Aoki has a crush on Hashimoto, the girl in the seat next to him in class. But he despairs when he borrows her eraser and sees she’s written the name of another boy—Ida—on it. To make matters more confusing, Ida sees Aoki holding that very eraser and thinks Aoki has a crush on him!
I had my doubts about this series. The premise didn't seem entirely interesting to me, but I decided to give it a try. I didn't realize I had devoured the first volume until I got to the last page. New addiction unlocked. I was into this series for a long time because I couldn't stop from the first moment, and I looked forward to the last one to find out what finally happened. It never disappoints!
It is a very well-crafted story that plays with the reader several times, but showing reality in a lighter way, the confusion, the discovery of identity, and the fear of what happens in the future. More than a romance, it is a story that shows the characters growing, maturing, without losing that youthful innocence.
It goes without saying that I loved the art. The expressions and gestures of the characters become the focus since the backgrounds are quite simple, if there are backgrounds, truth be told. It is one of those cases in which the script and the art complement each other perfectly, giving a harmony that I have rarely seen. My respects for that.
It should be a crime that three years' worth of work can be read in a month, because it literally took me a day or two to read each volume (until I had to wait for the last one). However, Aoki, Ida, Hashimoto, and Aida stay with you for a long time after finishing. It's hard for me to think of a series that surpasses this one. It's a tough teen drama to beat (Yes, I'm looking at you, Ao No Flag; that last volume ruined the ENTIRE series for me; among other things).
