Debo confesar que no he leído a Emma, ​​pero no creo que me haya perdido nada importante cuando leí este libro. Es sólido, bien planificado y con personajes que me gustaron desde la primera página. Es tan fácil de disfrutar que te hace sentir como un niño otra vez.

Tanto el estilo como el guion son sencillos, pero no les falta sustancia: reflejan una realidad que conocemos demasiado de una manera fácil de digerir. Evan fue la mejor parte de la historia por lo humano que se sentía, lo fácil que es identificarse con sus sentimientos, inseguridades y esperanzas. ¡Sin mencionar que Natalia también es adorable!

Hubo un par de escenas que parecieron un poco confusas debido al extenso elenco y cómo se desarrollaron sus relaciones. No me malinterpreten, solo fue cuestión de releer, tal vez retroceder un poco, pero creo que hubiera sido mucho mejor si fuera un volumen más largo. De esa manera, habría tenido más espacio para desarrollar esas relaciones y evitar la ligera sensación de estar un poco apresurado.

En definitiva, es un libro bonito y adorable que te hace sonreír mucho y te remonta a una época en la que todo era más sencillo, pero no menos dramático. Es la lectura perfecta para pasar el tiempo, soñar despierto y recuperar algunas partes de esa inocencia que a veces olvidamos. ¡Incluso diría que es un libro curativo!

But he takes things too far, creating a web of drama that spirals out of his control. Can Evan learn to put the people closest to him before his misguided ambition? Or will he lose them and his own chance at romance, too?

I have to confess I haven’t read Emma, but I don’t feel I missed anything important when I read this book. It’s solid, well-planned, and with characters that I liked right away from page one. It’s so easy to enjoy that it makes you feel like a kid again.

Both the style and the script are simple, but they don’t lack substance: they reflect a reality that we’re too familiar with in a way that is easy to digest. Evan was the best part of the story for how human he felt, how easy it is to relate to his feelings, insecurities, and hopes. Not to mention, Natalia is also adorable!

There were a couple of scenes that felt a bit confusing because of the large cast and how their relationships were developed. Don’t get me wrong, it was just a matter of re reading, maybe go back a little bit, but I believe it would have been much better if it was a longer volume. That way, it would have had more space to develop those relationships and avoid the slight feeling of it being a bit rushed.

All in all, it is a beautiful, cute book that makes you smile a lot as you go back to a time when everything was simpler, but not less dramatic. It’s the perfect reading to spend the time, daydream, and recover some parts of that innocence we forget about sometimes. I would even say it’s a healing book!
