Para Haruto Ogi, no hay nada más doloroso que un amor no correspondido. Después de aceptar salir con Tago, el apuesto chico con problemas de visión que le propuso una relación durante las vacaciones de verano, Ogi no puede evitar preocuparse por el inevitable desamor que le deparará el futuro.

Cuando el hermano mayor de Tago insinúa que Ogi solo persiguió a su hermano porque Tago no puede ver la forma femenina y excéntrica en que se viste Ogi, Ogi decide cambiar. Si puede lograr verse "normal", tal vez su relación no sea cuestionada y tal vez... tal vez Tago se enamore de Ogi de verdad.

Una historia peculiar y tierna sobre la superación de los miedos y el amor a uno mismo y a los demás por lo que realmente son.

Olvidé lo mucho que me gustaba pasar tiempo con estos dos chicos. Es una dulce historia sobre el autodescubrimiento y el romance con una buena dosis de humor. Hubo varias veces en las que no me di cuenta de que estaba sonriendo debido a lo inmerso que estaba. El arte es tan hermoso como antes, simple y limpio, que es exactamente lo que le da su encanto.

Sin embargo, también es la simplicidad del guión lo que me cautivó. Muestra a ambos personajes evolucionando a través de un día a día común en lugar de llegar a una gran y desgarradora comprensión. Ambos son solo dos chicos que se descubren a sí mismos y tratan de descubrir cómo lidiar con todo lo que está sucediendo. El elemento social fue la cereza del pastel, cómo la historia mostró los prejuicios y sesgos que todos podemos tener sin saberlo.

Yo diría que no sucede mucho aquí, es principalmente un viaje al mundo interior de Ogi que nos muestra quién es y quién quiere ser. Aunque simple en la superficie, la ejecución fue agradable. Me hubiera gustado que hubiera un poco más de acción, no tanta introspección, pero siento que esto le dio un desarrollo más equilibrado a la serie.

En general, Ogi's Summer Break, Volume 2, por Koikawa, es una historia dulce, corta pero poderosa que muestra a ambos personajes creciendo como individuos y como pareja. Para mí, es el tipo de historias sanadoras que te permiten respirar, dar un paso atrás, recordar la inocencia que viene con la juventud y la frustración de crecer, mientras también disfrutas de una buena historia.

For Haruto Ogi, there's nothing more painful than unrequited love. After agreeing to date Tago, the handsome, vision-impaired boy who boldly proposed a relationship for the length of summer break, Ogi can't help worrying about the inevitable future heartbreak.

When Tago's older brother insinuates Ogi only pursued his brother because Tago can't see the feminine, eccentric way Ogi dresses, Ogi decides to change. If he can make himself look "normal," maybe their relationship won't be q uestioned and maybe... maybe Tago will fall in love with Ogi for real.

A quirky and gentle story about overcoming fears and loving yourself and others for who they truly are.

I forgot how much I liked to spend time with these two guys. It's a sweet story about self-discovery and romance with a good dose of humor. There were several times when I didn't realize I was smiling because of how immersed I was. The art is just as gorgeous as before, simple and clean, which is exactly what gives it its charm.

However, it is also the simplicity of the script what captivated me. It shows both characters evolving through a common day to day instead of coming to a huge, Eart-shattering realization. They both just two guys discovering themselves and trying to figure out how to deal with everything that is happening. The social element was the cherry of the cake, how the story showed the prejudice and biases we can all carry without knowing.

I would say there's not a lot happening here, it's mostly a trip to Ogi's inner world that shows us who he is and who he wants to be. Although simple on the surface, the execution was nice. I wish there was a bit more action, not so much introspection, but I feel this gave it a more balanced development to the series.

All in all, Ogi's Summer Break, Volume 2, by Koikawa, is a sweet, short, yet powerful story that shows both characters growing as individuals and as a couple. For me, it is the kind of healing stories that allow you to breathe, take a step back, remember the innocence that comes with youth and the frustration of growing up, while also enjoying a good story.
