Buen día, Nocturnos. ^^ Hoy vengo con uno de mis discos favoritos, el séptimo álbum de estudio de un grupo gótico legendario. Su nombre es sinónimo de vampiros, fetichismo y hedonismo, y evidentemente es uno de los discos que me inspiraron para Alterno Nerva. Se trata de Tränenherz, de Blutengel. Solo una aclaratoria: Voy a enfocarme en el primer disco de este álbum, y la semana que viene les hablo sobre el segundo.

El disco es perfecto, si me preguntan. Voy a adelantarme y decir que esto también aplica para el segundo, pero es porque el sonido del álbum es muy sólido, las letras combinan muy bien por su contraste, y el nivel de producción es alto. Hay efecto, sonidos y melodías que vuelven cada canción una experiencia atmosférica.
Este primer disco nos presenta el lado negativo, peligroso del amor, el más dramático y cómo este puede transformar a cualquier persona. Temas como Down On My Knees y Über den Horizont son sumamente vulnerables, mientras que The Watcher y Undone son más metafóricos. Prácticamente somos testigos de una historia de amor maldito.
Los géneros que abarca la banda también son variados, pero combinan a la perfección. Creo que es indiscutible que el tema estelar es el primer sencillo de la banda, Reich Mir Die Hand, que combina electróncia y pop sin perder el sentimiento gótico, seguido por The End, uno de mis favoritos personales. Temas lúgubres como Ein Augenblick, junto con la primera y última pista, le dan más variedad al álbum, volviéndolo la banda sonora gótica por excelencia.
Blutengel se destacó con este trabajo, y me parece difícil de superar Tränenherz. Podría decir que es el disco más conocido de la banda, además de que fue el primero que escuché de ellos (el cielo sabe que quiero vivir el video de Reich Mir Die Hand) y el que me convirtió en fan, pero ya eso sería poco objetivo.

This first disc presents us with the negative, dangerous side of love, the most dramatic and how it can transform anyone. Tracks like Down On My Knees and Über den Horizont are highly vulnerable, while The Watcher and Undone are more metaphoric. We are practically witnesses to a cursed love story.
The genres covered by the band are also varied, but they blend seamlessly. I think it is indisputable that the stellar theme is the band's first single, Reich Mir Die Hand, which combines electronica and pop without losing the gothic feeling, followed by The End, one of my personal favorites. Gloomy tracks like Ein Augenblick, along with the first and last track, add more variety to the album, making it the quintessential gothic soundtrack.
Blutengel stood out with this work, and I find Tränenherz hard to beat. I could say that it is the band's best-known album, plus it was the first one I heard from them (heaven knows I want to live the Reich Mir Die Hand video) and the one that made me a fan, but that would not be objective enough.
