Buenos días, nocturnos. ¿Están de humor para un manga de fantasía? Espero que sí, porque hoy vengo con uno que me encantó, casi tanto o más que el volumen anterior. Hoy les cuento sobre Kamo: Pact with the Spirit World Volume 2, por Ban Zarbo. ¡Gracias a la editorial por enviarme un ejemplar a cambio de una reseña honesta!

Después de hacer un pacto con el espíritu Crimson para curar su condición cardíaca mortal, Kamo debe derrotar y capturar a doce espíritus para completar su parte del trato. Esa no es una tarea fácil, y últimamente ha sido difícil encontrar espíritus, desapareciendo antes de que Kamo pueda capturarlos. Afortunadamente, Shokola tiene el hechizo en mente para maldecir a Kamo como un Obscuro Magnético, un imán para todo lo fantasmal, convirtiéndolo en el centro de atención de las criaturas de otro mundo y llevándolas directamente a él.

Este manga fue una aventura en todo el sentido de la palabra. Kamo aprende mucho más sobre sus poderes, el pacto con Crimson, y el mundo de los espíritus. El mundo crece muchísimo y el desarrollo que me encanta. Quise tomarme un poco más de tiempo con este volumen para disfrutarlo más, pero tranquilamente podría haberlo terminado en una sentada como el primero, jeje.

Kamo: Pact with the Spirit World Volume 2 es una lectura que no se siente pesada en ningún momento. Aunque la historia se ubica varias batallas en el futuro para mostrarnos a un Kamo más maduro, aunque sin perder su escencia, es fácil entrar en contexto por el estilo de la creadora. Está de más decir que sigo enamoradísimo del arte, del diseño de los personajes, y me encantó todo el ritual para volver a Kamo un Obscuro Magnético, junto con las secuencias con los espíritus capturados.

Siento que el ritmo fue un poco, solo un poco más, rápido de lo que esperaba, más que todo por la cantidad de personajes involucrados, pero Ban Zarbo lo manejó todo muy bien. La historia de Shokola, las escenas con Madre (¡qué espíritu más precioso!), y el final que le dio a este volumen fueron muchos puntos a favor. ¡Y sigo insistiendo en que se merece un anime!

Evidentemente soy un fan declarado de la serie. Kamo: Pact with the Spirit World Volume 2 es un poco más oscuro que el primer libro. Ban Zarbo tenía varias sorpresas guardadas, y siguen habiendo algunas que vale la pena esperar. Es una lectura sencilla, rápida, entretenida, y muy preciosa en términos del arte. Estoy seguro de que les va a encantar y van a disfrutar mucho.

Today I tell you about Kamo: Pact with the Spirit World Volume 2, by Ban Zarbo. Thanks to the publisher for sending me a copy in exchange for an honest review!

After making a pact with the spirit Crimson to heal his deadly heart condition, Kamo must defeat and capture twelve spirits in order to complete his side of the bargain. That's no small task, and lately spirits have been hard to come by, disappearing before Kamo can capture them. Thankfully Shokola has just the spell in mind to curse Kamo as an Obscuro Magnético — a magnet for all things phantasmal — making him the center of attention for otherworldly creatures and bringing them straight to him.

This manga was an adventure in every sense of the word. Kamo learns much more about his powers, the pact with Crimson, and the spirit world. The world grows a lot and I loved the development. I wanted to take a little more time with this volume to enjoy it more, but I could easily have finished it in one sitting like with the first, hehe.

Kamo: Pact with the Spirit World Volume 2 is a reading that doesn't feel heavy at any point. Although the story places several battles in the future to show us a more mature Kamo, although without losing the essence of him, it's easy to get into context due to the style of the creator. Needless to say, I'm still deeply in love with the art, with the character design, and I loved the whole ritual to turn Kamo into an Obscuro Magnético, along with the sequences with the captured spirits.

I feel like the pace was a little bit, just a little bit, faster than I expected, mostly because of the number of characters involved, but Ban Zarbo handled it all very well. Shokola's story, the scenes with Mother (what a precious spirit!), and the ending she gave to this volume were many points in favor. And I keep insisting that it deserves an anime!

I'm obviously an avowed fan of the series. Kamo: Pact with the Spirit World Volume 2 is a bit darker than the first book. Ban Zarbo had several surprises in store, and there are still some that are worth waiting for. It's a simple, quick, entertaining read, and very precious in terms of art. I'm sure you're going to love it and to enjoy it a lot.
