Murry Summerfield, hijo implacablemente decente de la granja, conoce a Jacob Durris, un nuevo vecino encantador pero problemático. Cuando descubre por qué Jacob se ha mudado al campo, Murry tiene las manos ocupadas manteniendo feliz a sus amigos y lidiando con sus propios sentimientos florecientes.

La historia en sí es bastante adorable. Tiene sus momentos de tensión y drama, escenas en donde quedas sin palabras por lo que pasa, para luego volver a sonreír gracias a Murry y Jacob. Tiene un ritmo pausado que se acelera sin que te des cuenta, haciendo que el tiempo pase volando, pero sin sacrificar calidad. ¡Puntos por eso!

El arte es precioso, tengo que admitirlo. Aunque dista del estilo que suelo disfrutar, tiene un encanto rústico que combina a la perfección con la historia. Tiene ese aire delicado, pero sin los trazos refinados y definidos que me encantan, y aún así transmite la dulzura y el drama, el romance y la tensión de cada escena sin problemas.

Hubiera preferido un poco más de desarrollo con respecto al pasado de los personajes porque gran parte de la narración se enfocó en su presente, en cómo se sentían, qué pensaban. Siento que le faltaba más sustancia para entender de dónde venían y quiénes son. También, tengo que avisarles que no es un insta-love aunque parece serlo al principio. Fue una de las mejores sorpresas.

Además de todo esto, también incluye el tema de la salud mental de una forma original jugando un poco con los estereotipos. Cuckoos Three es una historia preciosa que, aunque idealista en algunos momentos, saca más de una sonrisa tanto por su guión como por su arte, perfecta para estos días de otoño en donde hace falta una lectura sencilla pero que te haga soñar.

Murry Summerfield, relentlessly decent son of the farmstead, meets Jacob Durris, charming but troubled new neighbor. When he discovers why Jacob has moved out to the countryside, Murry has his hands full keeping his friends happy and dealing with his own blossoming feelings.

The story itself is quite adorable. It has its moments of tension and drama, scenes where you are left speechless by what happens, and then smile again thanks to Murry and Jacob. It has a slow pace that accelerates without you realizing it, making time fly by, but without sacrificing quality. Points for that!

The art is beautiful, I have to admit. Although it's far from the style I usually enjoy, it has a rustic charm that combines perfectly with the history. It has that delicate air, but without the refined and defined strokes that I love, and yet it conveys the sweetness and drama, the romance and tension of each scene without problems.

I would have preferred a little more development regarding the characters' past because much of the narrative focused on their present, how they felt, what they thought. I feel like it lacked more substance to understand where they were coming from. and who they are. Also, I have to warn you that it is not an insta-love even though it seems like that at first. It was one of the best surprises.

In addition to all this, it also includes the topic of mental health in an original way, playing a little with stereotypes. Cuckoos Three is a beautiful story that, although idealistic at times, brings out more than one smile both for its script and for its art, perfect for these autumn days where you need a simple read that makes you dream.
