¡Saludos y abrazos!

Beware the Black Witch
"Annis is back and in more trouble than ever before" - Amazon reviewer
Fueled by hatred and heartbreak, Black Annis continues her quest for revenge and her mission to destroy all demons within the city of Los Angeles. But a coven of rival witches has other plans for her.
Ancient secrets will be revealed. Secrets that threaten to turn Annis' only friend against her.
In her darkest hour, will anyone be there to save Annis?

With prose just as intense and dramatic as in previous books, Aubrey Law took me through the intricate wizarding world of Los Angeles, California, where vampires, demons, trolls, witches, and every other kind of living thing seems to be searching for Annis to get revenge. Not surprisingly, the witch has been quite spiteful and has drawn enough attention from old enemies, and made a few new ones.

The story of Black Annis: Demon Destroyer is quite entertaining and keeps you on top of everything. Every so often, Annis recalls events from the past to keep everything fresh in your mind, and it works quite well because reading doesn't get heavy at any point. The cast of characters continues to grow, as does Annis's list of enemies, much more after the disaster she made in this book.

I would have preferred that Skye and Annis' relationship had developed a bit more before the events that affected them in this book, I feel like there could have been more material to explore. However, Aubrey Law gave both characters a very realistic and human aspect when the right moment came, without sweetening or idealizing anything. My applause for that.

With a price placed on her head by the entire magical community, the seeming bad luck not to abandon her, and several names on her kill-on-sight list, Black Annis: Demon Destroyer could well be the prelude to much larger events, although I'm a little nervous about how the author is going to handle so many enemies. I like what seems to be coming in this series!

¡Un saludo y un abrazo!
