Buenos días y feliz lunes, Nocturnos. ^^ Hoy toca otra reseña, y es una antología que me encantó, un proyecto muy creativo de la mano de Haunt Publishing. Se trata de Haunted Voices: An Anthology of Gothic Storytelling from Scotland, editado por Rebecca Wojturska. Gané un ejemplar por un concurso organizado por la Dra. Sam Hirst, con la colaboración de la editorial, para su club de lectura Romancing the Gothic. ¡Gracias a ambos!

Quiero empezar diciendo que este es un libro para leer y escuchar. Tuve la oportunidad de hacer ambas cosas, y fue toda una experiencia. La amalgama de voces combinaba muy bien con cada historia. Nunca conté historias de terror en una fogata, pero Haunted Voices me dio una experiencia que creo se acerca bastante a ello.

Más de una historia me puso los pelos de punta, y algunas fueron hasta chistosas. Al tratarse de una antología, es imposible que te gusten todos los estilos y todas las ideas, pero diría que me gustó un 80% del libro, y ya eso debería decirles algo. Encabezado por Rebecca Wojturska, este fue un proyecto con muy buenos resultados, escritores y narradores con mucho talento, haciendo uso del arte como mejor saben hacerlo. Mis felicitaciones a todos los involucrados.

Evidentemente es un libro solo en inglés. Si no les va muy bien con el idioma, yo diría que lo mejor es adquirir solo el formato digital, porque el acento escoses de algunos narradores es demasiado fuerte y me costó entender algunos segmentos, pero esto queda muy bien por la temática del libro. Haunted Voices: An Anthology of Gothic Storytelling from Scotland es un libro perfecto para los amantes del terror en todas sus formas.

This is Haunted Voices: An Anthology of Gothic Storytelling from Scotland, edited by Rebecca Wojturska. I won a copy for a contest organized by Dra. I want to start by saying that this is a book to read and listen to. I had the opportunity to do both, and it was quite an experience. The amalgam of voices combined very well with each story. I never told horror stories over a campfire, but Haunted Voices gave me an experience that I think is pretty close to it.

More than one story made my hair stand on end, and some were even funny. As it is an anthology, it's impossible that you like all the styles and all the ideas, but I would say that I liked 80% of the book, and that should tell you something. Headed by Rebecca Wojturska, this was a very successful project, talented writers and storytellers, making use of art as best they can. My congratulations to everyone involved.

Obviously it is a book only in English. If you're not to good with the language, I would say that the best thing is to acquire only the digital format, because the Scottish accent of some narrators is too strong and it was difficult for me to understand some segments, but this is very good due to the theme of the book. Haunted Voices: An Anthology of Gothic Storytelling from Scotland is a perfect book for lovers of horror in all its forms.
