Buenos días, Nocturnos. Espero que estén muy bien. Hace un par de días me tropecé con este manga y pensé en darle una oportunidad. Je, jeje. Resulta que terminé totalmente adicto. Lo devoré en una sentada y sigo leyendo los siguientes volúmenes. Se trata de Ao no Flag Vol. 1, de Kaito.

La historia se desarrolla tan rápido y con tanta naturalidad que es imposible no amar a los personajes, y aunque parece que esto fuese un culebrón de televisión, una telenovela de mal gusto, la idea se plantea muy bien. No debería ser legal que algo sea tan atrapante.

Si bien es cierto que los cuatro personajes, especialmente los tres protagonistas, encarnan cada uno un cliché diferente, tienen su encanto y una personalidad que te hace perdonar ese detalle. Siendo honesto, me gustó cómo Kaito manejó todo esto y creó un enredo tan entretenido.

Lo que sí les advierto es que si no son amantes de los cliffhangers no deben leer este volumen, o los que vienen. Mi pobre corazoncito no debería aguantar esos niveles de ansiedad, pero al demonio con ello.

Ao no Flag Vol. 1 es un manga que te hace soñar despierto con la ilusión del primer amor, las aventuras del bachillerato, las promesas que vienen con el último año escolar y ese momento en que decides darlo todo por el todo. ¿Qué más valeroso e intrépido que una confesión escolar?

Good morning, Nighters. I hope you all are okay. A couple of days ago I stumbled across this manga and thought I'd give it a try. Hehe. Turns out I ended up totally addicted. I devoured it in one sitting and am still reading the following volumes. This is Kaito's Blue Flag Vol. 1.

It’s the last year of high school, and love is in the air. Romantic feelings that have been building up over years of friendship come to light. When Taichi’s classmate Futaba asks him to help her confess to his best friend, Toma, it sparks the catalyst that begins the sweet and heart-wrenching journey of their third and final year of high school.
For some reason, Taichi Ichinose just can’t tolerate Futaba Kuze. But at the start of his third year in high school, he finds himself in the same homeroom as her, along with his childhood friend and school sports star Toma Mita. But one day Futaba opens up to Taichi, admitting she has a crush on Toma and asking for his help in confessing to him! There’s just one problem—Toma seems to already have a secret crush on someone else…

The story unfolds so quickly and so naturally that it's impossible not to love the characters, and although it seems that this is a soap opera, a TV show in bad taste, the idea is very well posed. It shouldn't be legal that something is this compelling.

While it is true that the four characters, especially the three protagonists, each embody a different cliche, they have their charm and a personality that makes you forgive that detail. Being honest, I liked how Kaito handled all of this and created such an entertaining mess.

What I do warn you is that if you are not lovers of cliffhangers you should not read this volume, or the next ones. My poor little heart shouldn't put up with those levels of anxiety, but to hell with it.

Blue Flag Vol. 1 is a manga that makes you daydream about the illusion of first love, the adventures of high school, the promises that come with the last school year and that moment when you decide to give everything for everything. What more courageous and fearless than a school confession?
