Buenos días, Nocturnos. ¿Qué tal les va? Ya las cosas con la tesis se calmaron un poco, pero este tema aún no termina. Cruzo los dedos para que finalmente pueda cerrar este episodio de mi vida, pero mientras tanto les cuento que leí el nuevo número de Mirka Andolfo's Mery, un cómic que me sigue pareciendo habla sobre la otredad.

El diablo de Woodsburgh ataca de nuevo cuando otra víctima inocente cae en las garras del asesino esquivo. Mientras tanto, Lady Hellaine invita a la burguesía local a un evento social, atrayendo la atención de la poderosa Lady Swanson. El subterfugio y las mentiras surgen cuando el segundo capítulo del nuevo proyecto de Mirka Andolfo divulga una revelación impactante.

Este número se me hizo mucho más corto que el anterior, y nos presenta un contexto social que era de esperarse. Hay más elementos de horror que antes, haciendo la lectura más interesante, pero siguen habiendo demasiadas preguntas con respecto a la enigmática Lady Hellaine.

El arte tampoco decepciona, y debo decir que los paneles en donde nuestra protagonista deja salir su lado más salvaje son los más atractivos. Los colores, el juego de luces y sombras crean una textura impresionante, y la atmósfera es muy mística. Aunque no hay tanto contenido gráfico, sí se vuelve una secuencia inquietante.

Sigo enamorado de este cómic, y estoy ansioso por ver cómo evoluciona. Parece ser el tipo de historia que se desarrolla lentamente para sorprender poco antes del final, un mundo que espero conocer más detalladamente.

I cross my fingers so that I can finally close this episode of my life, but meanwhile I tell you that I read the new issue of Mirka Andolfo's Mery, a comic that still seems to me talks about otherness (only in Spanish).

The Woodsburgh Devil strikes again when another innocent victim falls into the clutches of the elusive killer. Meanwhile, Lady Hellaine invites the local bourgeoisie to a social event, attracting the attention of the powerful Lady Swanson. Subterfuge and lies emerge as the second chapter of Mirka Andolfo's new project divulges a shocking revelation.

This issue became much shorter than the previous one, and it presents us with a social context that was to be expected. There are more elements of horror than before, making the reading more interesting, but there are still too many questions regarding the enigmatic Lady Hellaine.

Art doesn't disappoint either, and I must say that the panels where our protagonist lets out her wildest side are the most attractive. The colors, the game of light and shadow create an impressive texture, and the atmosphere is very mystical. Although there's not so much graphic content, it does become a disturbing sequence.

I'm still in love with this comic, and I can't wait to see how it evolves. It seems to be the kind of story that unfolds slowly to surprise shortly before the end, a world that I hope to learn more about.
