¡Buenos días, Nocturnos! Espero que estén muy bien. Mi refugio ha sido últimamente mi lado friki. Aunque no he leído tanto estos días en cuanto a libros, sí he buscado e investigado sobre esto y aquello, además de ver Doom Patrol. En serio, esto es ya casi una religión para mí.
En el episodio de esta semana, Danny Patrol, conocimos a un personaje muy particular y que me encantó: Danny, la le calle. Sí, una calle de género no binario, que además es capaz de teletransportarse a cualquier lugar. Victor y Larry buscan más pistas sobre el paradero del jefe al llegar a este lugar, pero en realidad es un viaje de autodescubrimiento, auto aceptación y perdón a sí mismo.
El número musical con Mat Bomer es oro puro, y debo decir que la musicalización estuvo muy bien implementada, destacando en los momentos adecuados. Fue el complemento perfecto del guión, el cual les dio mucha fuerza a estos tres personajes, principalmente a Larry y Danny.
Sin embargo, hubo algunas inconsistencias en el guión, pues conocimos a Karen, la supuesta personalidad más peligrosa de Crazy Jane, pero que es curiosamente similar a la Dr. Harrison, que apareció en Cult Patrol. Peco por no recordar el nombre, pero Baby Doll le dijo a Victor al inicio de la serie que había una personalidad que no salía a la luz por ser muy peligrosa, y estoy seguro de que no escuché “Karen”. De hecho, esta personalidad vino a la superficie por solo un momento.
Fue una historia muy entretenida con poderosos mensajes de aceptación, tolerancia y prejuicios, como por ejemplo “lo normal no es más que un estado normal.” Me encantó. Tuvo sus fallos, e insisto en que ya hace falta saber algo sobre el jefe y el Sr. Don Nadie, pero fue un episodio muy bien logrado si me preguntan, con un final oscuro y grandioso.

Good morning, Nighters! I hope you all are okay. My refuge lately has been my geek side. Although I haven't read much these days in terms of books, I have searched and researched this and that, in addition to seeing Doom Patrol. Seriously, this is almost a religion for me already.
In this week's episode, Danny Patrol, we met a very particular character that I loved: Danny the Street. Yes, a non-binary street, which is also capable of teleporting anywhere. Victor and Larry search for more clues to the boss's whereabouts upon arriving at this place, but it is actually a journey of self-discovery, self-acceptance, and self-forgiveness.
The musical number with Matt Bomer is pure gold, and I must say that the musicalization was very well implemented, standing out at the right moments. It was the perfect complement to the script, which gave these three characters a lot of strength, mainly Larry and Danny.
However, there were some inconsistencies in the script, as we met Karen, Crazy Jane's alleged most dangerous personality, but who is curiously similar to Dr. Harrison, who appeared in Cult Patrol. I sin by not remembering the name, but Baby Doll told Victor at the beginning of the series that there was a personality that did not come out for being very dangerous, and I am sure that I didn't hear "Karen". In fact, this personality came to the surface for just a moment.
It was a very entertaining story with powerful messages of acceptance, tolerance, and prejudice, such as "normal is nothing more than a state of mind." I loved it. It had its failures, and I insist that we already need to know something about the boss and Mr. Nobody, but it was a very successful episode if you ask me, with a dark, great ending.
