Good morning, Nighters! I hope you are all okay. Here’s the rest of my Top 10 favorite Twilight vampires. As it couldn’t be otherwise, this is just for the Cullen family, but I’m sure you will find a surprise or two in it. *wink*
5. Carlisle Cullen: The leader and founder of the clan, I admire Doctor Carlisle Cullen because of his integrity and desire to help those who, if ever knew of his nature, would hunt him down. He did everything in his power to remain human and taught his family to do as well, being strict but also noble. Talk about a great parental figure.
4. Esme Cullen: Despite Esme doesn’t have a big impact in the book, she was a totally loveable character in Breaking Dawn. She was there for the wolves when they decided to take her family’s side and tried to be as kind as possible to them. She forgot about her differences straight away and was there unconditionally. Period. I’ll love her forever.
3. Edward Cullen: I wrote a whole entry on Edward, so all I have to say, in short, is that he’s not afraid of being in a vulnerable position and always try to be loyal, to do the less possible harm, and protect those who depend on him and he cares about. He’s the total opposite of what toxic masculinity expects us men to be and someone deeply connected to his feelings.
2. Bella Cullen: She’s the reason the whole saga came into being, to start, and she evolved so much in the books she became a totally different person by the end of the series, but remaining loyal to her essence. As a vampire, Bella put real, raw effort in being the best version of herself she could be to play an active role in the final fight. I also wrote an entry about her, in case you want the details.
Special mention. Irina: I couldn’t leave this woman out. She’s the reason for the imminent danger approaching the Cullen in Breaking Dawn, someone who let fear rule her actions. However, as soon as Irina saw she had made a big mistake, the worst I her life, she chose to protect what was left of her family, try to save all of her friends and assume full responsibility of her hasty actions.
1. Alice Cullen: How not to love Alice? Is there any single person who doesn’t love Alice? Any? Her charisma and honesty are vital for the series, her precognitive ability is fundamental, she is empowered by it and made the hardest decision ever in the fourth book to make sure she would protect her family. Alice is a graceful, untamable beast I’d rather be friends with than fight against.
