¡Buenos días, Nocturnos! ^^ Les vengo con noticias. Hay una nueva historia publicada en Wattpad que les va a gustar bastante. Es un cuento corto para participar en un concurso, pero el resultado me dejó muy satisfecho por los temas que toca: Burlar a la Oscuridad, una historia de mitología griega y zombis. Pueden leelo más abajo, y en la entrada les explico mi inspiración junto con otra noticia. ^^

Luego de dejar a Perséfone con su madre, igual que todos los años, Hécate siente una cambio en el ambiente. Algo está fuera de control en el inframundo, una energía que la propia Nix, una de las primeras titánides en existir, encerró con su ayuda. Se suponía que no podría salir de allí, y sin embargo logró burlar a la oscuridad.Participación al reto "Greek Mythology Meets Zombies" de @WattpadZombies.
Los zombis son un territorio desconocido para mí. Aunque los he explorado muy por encima en 31 y 31 parte 2, realmente no había escrito algo medianamente largo. Quería ir subiendo de nivel poco a poco para no cometer alguna estupidez o escribir alguna tontería, así que cuando vi el reto que tenía WattpadZombies no lo pensé dos veces para animarme.
¿De qué va este relato? Es un recuento de los viajes de Perséfone entre el mundo mortal y el inframundo. Siempre acompañada por Hécate, la diosa titánide de los caminos, la noche, la magia y la brujería, pero con muertos vivientes.
Apenas leí la propuesta, supe que habría cierta titánide que no estaría muy contenta de que alguien se entrometiera en su territorio. Hécate no es solo una diosa, a pesar de que peleó al lado de los dioses del olimpo, y al ser una anciana, como suele ser descrita, debía tener un carácter fuerte. Es una abuela en muchos sentidos, pero muy lejos de ser una inútil.
Decidí explorar un poco el tema de las plegarias y las relaciones entre familiares en este cuento. ¿Se han puesto a pensar en lo enredado que puede ser el árbol genealógico de esta gente? Fue un dolor de cabeza tratar de entender todo y dar con los nombre correctos, y eso ayudó muchísimo a definir el carácter de Hécate. El tema de la religión, por otro lado, se basa en la idea de que muchos esperan ayuda sin hacer nada, o sin pensar si realmente necesitan ayuda para esto y aquello.
Por más fantasía que haya, no deja de ser una historia social, y fue todo muy natural. Las palabras salieron solas y el proceso de edición fue super sencillo (también ayudó que es una historia corta, jajaja), y estoy feliz por ello. No tenía planeado escribir nada de este estilo, mucho menos tengo el tiempo para ello, pero me sentí como un muchacho de nuevo, simplemente escribiendo por el placer de escribir y sin pensar en publicidad, Amazon ni nada. Espero que sientan eso al leer este relato. ^^
Finalmente, ¡noté que acabo de obtener 400 seguidores aquí en Blogger! Ha sido un viaje lleno de baches y esto significa mucho para mí, así que decidí hacer algo para celebrar. Ayer publiqué el segundo capítulo completo de mi novela de terror Rojo Carmín en Wattpad, una historia de la que sigo enamorado. Publicaré un nuevo capítulo todos los días hasta que esté completo en Wattpad, lo que significa que ya pueden leer el tercer capítulo también.

Good morning, Nighters! ^^ I come with news. There's a new story posted on Wattpad that you're going to like quite a bit. It's a short story to participate in a contest, but the result left me very satisfied because of the themes it touches: To outwit Darkness, a story of Greek mythology and zombies. Zombies are unknown territory to me. Although I have explored them far above in 31 and 31 parte 2, I hadn't really written anything fairly long. I wanted to level up little by little so as not to commit something stupid or write something stupid, so when I saw the challenge that WattpadZombies had I didn't think twice before doing it.
What's this story about? It's an retelling of Persephone's travels between the mortal world and the underworld. Always accompanied by Hecate, the titaness goddess of the roads, the night, magic and witchcraft, but with the undead.
As soon as I read the prompt, I knew there would be a certain titaness who would not be very happy to have someone intrude on her territory. Hecate's not just a goddess, despite the fact that she fought alongside the Olympian gods, and being an old woman, as is often described, she must have a strong character. She's a grandmother in many ways, but far from useless.
I decided to explore the theme of prayers and family relationships a bit in this story. Have you ever thought about how tangled these people's family trees can be? It was a headache trying to understand everything and come up with the correct names, and that helped a lot to define Hecate's character. The issue of religion, on the other hand, is based on the idea that many wait for help without doing anything, or without thinking if they really need help with this and that.
As fantasy as there is, it's still a social story, and it was all very natural. The words came out on their own and the editing process was super easy (it also helped that it's a short story hahaha), and I'm happy about it. I hadn't planned to write anything like this, much less have the time for it, but I felt like a boy again, just writing for the pleasure of writing and not thinkign about marketing, Amazon or anything. I hope you feel that as you read this story. ^^
Finally, I noticed I just got 400 followers here on blogger! It's been a bumpy ride and this means a lot to me, so I decided to do something to celebrate. Yesterday I just published the full second chapter of my horror novel Rojo Carmín in Wattpad, a story I'm still in love with.
