Han una increíble variedad de historias y estilos en este libro. Se me hizo un poco pesado por los cambios tan drásticos entre tramas, arte, y demás, pero no deja de ser un volumen que se disfrute mucho.

Las primeras historias son más bien psicológicas, presentando al Guasón que ya conocemos, algunas incluso con una dosis de humor absurdo y negro como en el caso de Kill the Barman e Introducing..., y más adelante, con mis favoritas, Birthday Bugs y No Heroes, vemos un lado muy distinto de este personaje. No es solo un desquiciado, sino un personaje que podemos amar genuinamente.

Aunque es mero entretenimiento, no puedo dejar de pensar en que algunas de estas historias reflejan el mundo de hoy. Scars nos muestra el desinterés, What Comes... nos acerca a la juventud descarrilada, la percepción incluso de lo que decimos y hacemos, Kill... trata el tema de la identidad y la otredad, y así con todas. Hay un poco de todo para todos los gustos y todos los lectores salgan felices.

Lo que más me gustó fue que hubo una atmósfera oscura y decadente, digna del Señor G, que me mantuvo interesado en todas las historias. Cada una tiene su gracia (jeje) y su encanto, pero todas están muy bien hechas, con excepción de la última, que no me atrapó en lo absoluto.

Leer The Joker 80th Anniversary 100-Page Super Spectacular fue una buena manera de empezar el día, definitivamente.

There is an incredible variety of stories and styles in this book. It was a bit heavy for me because of the drastic changes between plot, art, and so on, but it is still a volume that is very much enjoyed.

The first stories are rather psychological, featuring the Joker we already know, some even with a dose of absurd and black humor as in the case of Kill... and Introducing..., and later, with my favorites, Birthday Bugs and No Heroes, we see a very different side of this character. He is not only a madman, but a character that we can genuinely love.

Although it is mere entertainment, I cannot stop thinking that some of these stories reflect the world of today. Scars shows us the disinterest, What Comes... brings us closer to the derailed youth, the perception even of what we say and do, Kill... deals with the issue of identity and otherness, and so on with each one. There's a little bit of everything for all tastes and all readers come out happy.

What I liked the most was that there was a dark and decadent atmosphere worthy of Mister J that kept me interested in all the stories. Each one has its grace (hehe) and its charm, but all are very well made, except for the last one, which did not catch me at all.

Reading The Joker 80th Anniversary 100-Page Super Spectacular was a good way to start the day, definitely.
