Buen día, Nocturnos. ¿Cómo les va? He tenido días mejores, si soy sincero. Sigo esperando a que me den una fecha para mi defensa final de tesis, y mientra tanto sigo leyendo. Hablando de ello, acabo de leer el nuevo número de Mirka Andolfo's Mercy, un cómic que me tiene enamorado.

El primer arco argumental del cuento gótico de MIRKA ANDOLFO llega a su final. Lady Hellaine encuentra un interés amoroso... ¿o es solo parte de sus maquinaciones? ¿Quiénes son los despiadados "cazadores", y que están rastreando? ¿Y cuál es su relación con lo que sea que habita en las minas abandonadas?

El comienzo se me hizo bastante extraño porque sale un poco de lo usual en el universo de la historia, pero todos los cabos sueltos se atan conforme llegas al final de la historia. Esto no quiere decir que no surjan nuevas preguntas, pero hay suficiente material como para mantenerse sumergido en este mundo de secretos y horror.

La trama es un poco más lenta, construyendo tensión en cada página para dejarte a la expectativa, y ni hablar del final. Aunque lo sentí un poco apresurado, sienta las bases para más capítulos, pero tengo miedo de que no haya suficiente desarrollo. Hay demasiados misterios hasta ahora, así que va siendo hora de algunas respuestas.

Sin embargo, la atmósfera y el arte no decepcionan. Admito que son mi interés principal para seguir esta serie (¡aunque la historia me encanta!), pero los colores y el diseño de los personajes no dejan de sorprenderme. Las luces y las sombras destacaron mucho más que en los números anteriores, además.

Con una pequeña dosis LGBT+, mucha intriga y elementos de horror originales, Mirka Andolfo's Mercy #3 es un deleite para los ojos. Conocemos nuevas facetas de los personajes, sus límites y se nos presenta un grupo interesante de cazadores que podrían afectar en gran manera a la recién formada familia de tres. Toca esperar para saber.

The first story arc of MIRKA ANDOLFO’s Gothic tale comes to an end. Lady Hellaine finds a love interest…or is this just a part of her machinations? Who are the ruthless “hunters,” and what are they tracking? And what’s their relationship with whatever lies in the abandoned mines?

The beginning was quite strange for me because it comes out a bit of the usual in the universe of the story, but all the loose ends are tied as you get to the end of the story. This is not to say that no new questions arise, but there is enough material to keep you immersed in this world of secrets and horror.

The plot is a little slower, building tension on each page to leave you waiting, not to mention the end. Although I felt it a bit rushed, it lays the groundwork for more chapters, but I'm afraid there won't be enough development. There are too many mysteries so far, so it's time for some answers.

However, the atmosphere and art do not disappoint. I admit that they are my main interest to follow this series (although I love the story!), but the colors and the characters design don't cease to amaze me. The lights and shadows stood out much more than in the previous issues, too.

With a small LGBT + dose, lots of intrigue and original horror elements, Mirka Andolfo's Mercy #3 is a delight for the eyes. We meet new facets of the characters, their limits and we are presented with an interesting group of hunters that could greatly affect the newly formed family of three. We have to wait to find out.
