Buenos días, gente. ¿Qué tal les va? Hoy les quiero hablar sobre un cuento precioso que leí no hace mucho en Wattpad pero que se me quedó grabado. Es una historia corta, sencilla y directa, perfecta para el Mes del Orgullo. Se trata de El príncipe gris, de Matías Zitterkopf.
Un cuento de diversidad y aceptación donde el príncipe Thomas deberá encontrar el valor para pintar su vida con colores. Tal vez el príncipe Nicholas pueda ayudarle con eso.
La sinopsis es bastante directa, pero tengo que decir que no le hace justicia a lo místico de la historia. Matías te traslada en el acto a todos los escenarios y sientes lo mismo que los personajes gracias a esas descripciones y el estilo que tiene. Es una historia que se lee en nada pero que recuerdas con cario a medida que pasa el tiempo.
El tema de los colores juega un papel importante, y junto con lo breve hacen que sea una historia perfecta para leérsela a los niños. Muchos critican esto, dicen sin base que es predisponerlos, lavarles el cerebro, pero Matías deja en claro cuál es el tema principal: ser tu verdadero yo, usar los colores que quieras y ser libre (al mejor estilo Frozen).
Les recomiendo leer El príncipe gris si quieren una historia linda, un final feliz, pero también algo que sirva para educar a los más pequeños, un cuento de fantasía que les llame la atención, que disfruten ustedes de contar y ellos de escuchar, y que les deje una lección importante. No me cansaré de decirlo: es una historia preciosa, mágica en todos los sentidos.

Prince Thomas must find the courage to paint his life in colors and leave all that gray behind. Perhaps, prince Nicholas can help him with that.
The synopsis is fairly straightforward, but I have to say it doesn't do justice to the mystique of the story. Matías transports you on the spot to all the settings and you feel the same as the characters thanks to those descriptions and the style he has. It's a story you read in no time but that you remember fondly as time goes by.
The theme of colors plays an important role, and together with its shortness they make it a perfect story to read to children. Many criticize this, they say with no basis that it's predisposing them, brainwashing them, but Matías makes it clear what the main theme is: being your true self, using the colors you want and let it go (in the best Frozen style.)
I recommend reading The Gray Prince if you want a nice story, a happy ending, but also something that serves to educate the little ones, a fantasy tale that catches their attention, that you enjoy telling and they listen to, and that leaves an important lesson. I will never tire of saying it: it is a beautiful story, magical in every way.
